Politics / Apc Trick To Rig Election by arinzeuba: 6:35am On Mar 29, 2015
The card reader trick is evident that INEC has been compromised as it took the President more than 30 minutes to get accredited in Otuoke, even at that he and his wife had to be accredited using the incident form.

The APC trick with card readers is now confirmed. Card readers working well in APC strongholds (Buhari was accredited in less than 40 seconds). Card readers in PDP strongholds seem to be having issues (it took Mr President over 30 minutes to be accredited). Nigerians remain calm. God's will shall prevail! Amen

Mr President was later accredited using the incident book not the card reader o......

Card readers were apparently failing often at a polling booth near an Accenture staff's home. And the guy couldn't understand why...cos the readers were all new. So he approached the INEC woman. Inspected the reader. Only to find the protective film on the lense of the reader had not been removed. After a protracted argument he convinced the woman to remove it. The reader not only read the prior rejected cards, it was reading with even faster response time. Please share. It could help a lot.

INEC website hacked!

At this rate, only GOD knows how all this will pan out & end, but these combined card reader and INEC hacking issues, show that things are already being manipulated, electronically! So sad!

May GOD help Nigeria! Amen!

Politics / Apc Planing To Rig Election by arinzeuba: 8:30am On Mar 26, 2015
We cannot sit by idly and remain silent when a desperate group of ruthless and greedy little men, in collusion with their friends in the APC, rob the Nigerian people of their historic opportunity to elect a President of their choice. This they intend to do by sitting in a dark room somewhere and rigging the election in the most sophisticated manner even before it holds.

This is unacceptable and it is incumbent upon us, as a responsible, accountable and sensible campaign organisation to expose the rot, point out the dangers of doing nothing about it, finger and identify those that are involved and call on the authorities to do something about it before it is too late. We shall share this information in good faith and we shall then leave the matter for necessary action by the relevant security agencies and authorities.

Our concerns stem from the fact that the moving spirit and a major shareholder and board member of the company that supplied the card reader system and machines to INEC is not only a friend of but also an ardent and keen supporter of General Mohammadu Buhari and the APC. That man's name is Sani Musa and he is indeed the main force behind the company. The company's name is Act Technologies Ltd. and the Chairman of the company is one Engineer SK Danladi.

How and why INEC would give the contract to supply the card readers to a fanatical APC supporter and to a man whose other company was officially blacklisted by INEC a couple of years ago for sharp practices, needs to be explained. Sani Musa has expressed his undying support for the APC and General Buhari and his hatred and virulent opposition to the PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan openly and publicly on his Facebook wall. Some of his comments on Facebook read as follows: ''I stand with him (Buhari) for whatever reason” and “Imagine the kind of people given spaces in our nation’s news tabloids.  Hoodlums are having field day in Nigeria since the inception of GEJ’s administration.  Mad men, hooligans and vultures have taken over decency of the society.  May Allah save us from the torments of this (sic) rascals and expose their intentions on our nation state be it the Boko Haram, killer militants or by extension those in authority with wicked intentions-Amen.”  Photocopies of his Facebook wall where these comments were made and his picture will be made available at the end of this briefing.

Worst still, it is clear that certain aspects of and electronic components within the card reader system which will be used in Saturday's election have not only been compromised but that the encryption codes and so-called ''master key'' may have been made available to the opposition or their friends and agents. This will enable them to access the system, fabricate and generate fake votes and manipulate the voting patterns to their advantage.

This constitute a very serious breach of security and it is a criminal offence. It is also very dangerous. Worst still it can easily be carried out successfully because, if done quietly and properly and without any deep scrutiny, it is virtually fool-proof. All you need to make it work is to have certain relevant and key INEC officials that are in the know to work closely with the supplier of the card readers and an opposition party that is so hungry and desperate for power that they are ready to pay large sums of money to their friends and associates to help them get it by hook or by crook.
Politics / Apc Planing To Lig Election by arinzeuba: 1:48am On Mar 26, 2015
Ladies and gentlemen of the press,
It is with a heavy heart that we are compelled to share with the Nigerian public the following sensitive information which we believe, if not handled properly and looked into, is serious enough to affect the outcome of Saturday’s presidential election in a negative way.
Before we go into detail permit me to make an important assertion which cannot be overstated or over-emphasised. That assertion is as follows: the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation and our candidate President Goodluck Jonathan are not in the least bit worried about what the outcome of Saturday’s election will be. We believe that we have the backing and full support of the Nigerian people and we believe that we shall not only win but that we shall win convincingly.

Whatever we share with you here today does not, in anyway, mean that we shall not participate in Saturday’s election or that we are worried about how we will fare. The fact of the matter is that we shall not only participate but we are also very confident of winning. We believe that the Nigerian people will give President Goodluck Jonathan a fresh mandate for the next four years regardless of the shenanigans of the opposition and those that are covertly working for and with them.

The purpose of this briefing and of sharing the following information with the Nigerian people is simply to ensure that they are fully aware of what is going on and to enable our security and intelligence agencies to ensure that INEC does the right thing, answers some of these questions and put their house in order so that the outcome of the election is not in any way questionable.

We cannot sit by idly and remain silent when a desperate group of ruthless and greedy little men, in collusion with their friends in the APC, rob the Nigerian people of their historic opportunity to elect a President of their choice. We believe that all those components are now in place and that the biggest and most brazen attempt to rig elections in the history of our country will take place on Saturday if the necessary measures are not taken to prevent it. If the conspiracy is not exposed, if the Nigerian people do not rise up and demand answers, if the plan is not intercepted and aborted, if the Chairman of INEC does not answer the relevant questions and take the necessary steps and if the relevant individuals, including Sani Musa and his collaborators and co-conspirators in INEC and the opposition, are not called to order, arrested, interrogated and prosecuted their plan may well succeed.

In view of this dastardly plan that is in the offing and this unwholesome conspiracy, we call on the party leadership and faithful to direct our supporters and polling agents to be very vigilant at every polling booth and to guard and protect their votes. After voting they should stay at the polling booths to ensure that their votes are counted and that they are not manipulated or changed.

Ladies and gentlemen, the facts, the evidence and our recommendations are as follows:

INEC has concluded plans to utilize its recently acquired Smart Card Readers for the forthcoming presidential elections scheduled for March 28th 2015. INEC has carried out a mock poll to test-run the functionality of the Smart Card Reader in 12 states of the Federation with mixed results.

There is an on-going public debate regarding the pros and cons of the planned Smart Card use by INEC with a number of questions being asked regarding the security vulnerabilities of the technology.

The purpose of this document is:

To highlight the most serious of such security vulnerabilities that are critical enough to justify a halt in INEC's plans to use the Smart Card Readers for the forthcoming general elections (until such issues are satisfactorily resolved and fully certified as being secured by reputable independent third party security auditors).
To demonstrate that the opposition APC has already secured, through rogue means, an unassailable advantage over the ruling PDP which will most likely result in a resounding electoral victory for it irrespective of PDP’s actions or inactions, in the event that the Smart Card Readers are used for the elections.

To highlight the need for INEC to admit to the security-related failings of its Smart Card Readers implementation under circumstances that will be credible to local and international observers, such that it will become obvious that the use of Smart Card Readers for the forthcoming polls cannot guarantee free, fair and credible elections.
The major issues that are worthy of consideration are summarized below. Each issue can be readily substantiated by verifiable sources of evidence.
i. Compromised Master Encryption/Decryption Key: The Master Encryption/Decryption Key that can "unlock" and simulate the PVC data processed by the Smart Card Reader has been compromised.  There is only one copy of the Master Key in Nigeria and it is in the possession of an individual who is a known APC sympathizer/supporter (and also the contractor responsible for the production of PVCs and manufacture of Smart Card Readers for INEC who was already blacklisted by INEC following his inability to deliver ballot papers during the 2011 elections).  The Master Key should rightly be in the possession of INEC, as the neutral umpire, under the most stringent access control protocol imaginable and not freely in the possession of a partisan actor.
INEC has already expressed concern over intelligence reports that APC has been purchasing VINs (Voter Identification Numbers uniquely identifying each PVC), which can only mean that the Party is already in possession of the Master Key (as the purchase of VINs would otherwise have been a fruitless exercise).
This has grave implications for the PDP as the opposition APC, armed with the Master Key and sufficient VINs, can actually simulate the same data transmitted from any Smart Card Reader deployed for the elections at will. The situation is even now worsened by the fact that APC no longer has to purchase VINs or PVCs as they can now download the entire VINs directly from the INEC database which they have successfully “hacked” into.
RECOMMENDATION: INEC should be officially requested to IMMEDIATELY produce the Master Encryption/Decryption Key (before it has the opportunity to cover up this monumental act of negligence).
ii.    Failure to carry out Independent Security Audit of its IT Infrastructure: Contrary to what the average political commentator thinks, the critical IT infrastructure for the use of the Smart Card Readers by INEC is not necessarily the actual device itself, but the back-end IT infrastructure comprising INEC servers, database, network, personnel and processes. Given the critical nature and purpose of this infrastructure, the standard global best practice is for the organisation to enlist the services of an independent third-party IT Security Audit firm to carry out a comprehensive (and indeed, periodic) Security Audit of its entire end-to-end IT infrastructure and prepare a Security Audit Report which forms the ONLY basis upon which INEC can certify its proposed technology as secure and safe from vulnerabilities that can be exploited by rouge persons/systems.
There are various internationally-acceptable information security standard certifications that a reliable back-end IT infrastructure like INEC's should pass in order to command public confidence, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 27018, etc. The lack of such security-related certifications simply means that INEC cannot confidently assert that its systems have not been "hacked", compromised or otherwise illegally accessed by unauthorised persons.
RECOMMENDATION: INEC should be officially requested to IMMEDIATELY produce a copy of any Security Audit Report independently authored by a reputable and certified third party (before it has the opportunity to cover up this monumental act of negligence).
If INEC fails to produce a satisfactory Security Audit Report, then it should be compelled to conduct a fresh Security Audit of its entire IT infrastructure which can even be extended to its production/manufacturing facilities in China (indeed the only other copy of the Master Encryption/Decryption Key is in the possession of the Chinese Manufacturers) - this process of auditing cannot possibly be completed before the general elections.
iii.    Compromised back-end Personnel: Contrary to standard industry practice, INEC opted for the engagement of relatively inexperienced, “suitcase” IT Consulting Companies for the development of its back-end collation and transmission systems and other core server and database applications, using predominantly open source software characterised by publicly-available source code – another major security vulnerability. While significant budgets were made available for this purpose, INEC's choice of "greenhorn" consultants was due to the ridiculously low contract sums paid for these consultancy contracts. The unfortunate consequence of this indiscretion, however, is that the personnel associated with these firms are poorly motivated, ill equipped, poorly supervised and easily compromised. It is, therefore, easily understandable why the opposition APC has been able to compromise INEC's back-end personnel to its advantage.
RECOMMENDATION: INEC should be officially requested to make public the company profile of the IT Consulting Firms it contracted to develop its back-end IT systems, the Curriculum Vitae of their personnel, their known connections to opposition APC figures as well as the financial details of their associated contracts (vis-a-vis the approved budgets). This will clearly prove the lack of credibility of INEC's critical back-end systems.
iv.    Millions of Unprinted PVCs: Contrary to the public perception that INEC has virtually completed the production of PVCs, the true situation is that, as at last week, INEC was yet to take delivery of over 2 million PVCs that were yet to be produced by the contractor, Act Technologies. It is not certain that the production of these PVCs will be completed before the presidential elections scheduled for March 28th 2015. It is, therefore, obvious that a significant number of eligible voters will definitely be disenfranchised in the process.
RECOMMENDATION: INEC should be officially requested to invite stakeholders to an impromptu visit of the PVC production facility of ACTS Technologies in Ganges Street, Maitama, Abuja to observe, first hand, the on- going production process and take stock of the current and outstanding inventories in a transparent manner.

Absence of Quality Control (QC) Measures and Defective PVC Deliverables: INEC has failed to put in place reasonable Quality Control (QC) measures for the PVCs delivered to it by the contractor - ACTS Technologies. The implication of this procedural loophole is that INEC had and still has no way of determining the extent of "defects" in the supplied PVCs.
This became most apparent during the recently-concluded mock polls in which a variety of very serious, but avoidable, problems were experienced during the exercise, including PVCs with absent fingerprint data; PVCs with poor picture quality; PVCs with mismatched data (i.e. encoded data different from printed data); Card Readers with low battery lifespan etc. INEC has deliberately hidden the extent of these problems from the general public as there would have been considerable outrage if the scope of the challenges is made known.
Furthermore, nobody in INEC can reliably predict the likely percentage of defective PVCs that have already been distributed until during the actual election itself. If the percentage is significant and more concentrated to specific geographic locations, as is being suspected, then it is no doubt a recipe for disaster - as it can fuel electoral violence of immense proportions.
If, however, INEC steps down the use of Smart Card Readers, then the aforementioned “defects” will become irrelevant as the PVCs will then be used as regular Voter Cards without the added complication of authenticating the encoded data.
RECOMMENDATION: INEC should be officially requested to IMMEDIATELY produce its Quality Control Policy with respect to PVC and Smart Card Reader deliverables.
INEC should also be officially requested to make public the detailed report of its mock poll exercise and its forecast of the probable extent of defective PVCs during the general elections.
I thank you all for your attention.
Politics / Apc Is An Islamic Party! Christians Lets Be Wise by arinzeuba: 9:16pm On Mar 24, 2015
It will be unwise to throw away your cooking pot with a soured soup, it will be unwise to set your kitchen ablaze because you saw a rat in it. Goodluck may not have been our best president, or your dream president, but he may be our only available source  to frustrate the islamized APC's agenda against Nigeria. Note that Vice President has little or no influence on the decision of a President; in that case Osibanjo may not have much to influence if these Islamists, peradventure hijack the highest position in our Nation, and thereafter  roll out any agenda that undermines Christianity. Politics / Buhari Has No Plan Of Changing This Country by arinzeuba: 5:57pm On Mar 24, 2015
We have entered a critical week in Nigeria's political History.
The world is watching with interest as we go to the polls on Saturday.
This great Nation, sure deserves change. Change of attitude, lifestyle, thinking, etc. Not the change that will depend on one man but the change where everyone will take responsibility towards building a better country.

Some people have tried to convince me to vote for their candidate because they believe he will bring "change"
They say:
On certificate; ...just vote for him even if he presents "NEPA" bill
On public debate; ...just vote even if he shuns every opportunity to explain how he will bring change.
On Religion; ...just vote for him even if he doesn't condemn Islamic extremism
On Recycling old rulers... Just vote for him,he has changed
On Corruption...Just vote even if he's surrounded and funded by corrupt people, he would change them.
On ability to lead a modern Nigeria...they say just vote for him, we have a good team that will teach him.

I asked, why this blind faith? They said, "because the man who is in-charge now has failed, let's experiment with General....he's too old to be corrupt."
I asked, what if the experiment fails? They said, then we will change him in 4yrs time...hmmmm.

I want a better life for my family and country but I'm grateful for the progress so far made. I'm not ready to throw away what I have and follow the promises of Nigerian politicians.

President Jonathan may not have accomplished all he set to do but no one can deny the fact that his gentle nature and leadership has given us the freedom we never had. Freedom is the core essence of democracy. For the first time in our history even idiots can insult the President and sleep without worry.

On Saturday 28th March, exercise your freedom and vote who you like. I'll vote for GEJ. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,God bless and keep us all,Amen. #VoteNotFight#Peace.

Rivers state governor - Rotimi Amechi regrets his joining of APC

would have remained in PDP, if I knew my deputy would betray me--Gov. Amaechi

Following the return of the Deputy Governor of Rivers State; Engr. Tele Ikuru to PDP, governor Amaechi has urged members of the APC to remain steadfast. The governor who said that " Though I saw it coming, but I never believed it. Our movement to APC was a collective decision and Tele was even the one who seconded the motion for us to defect to the APC. So is unthinkable that he wld return to the PDP. This whole fight is about you ( APC members ). Not me! I can't be governor again. Like I keep saying, the world is aware of my fight with the President. And so many countries will grant me asylum and the President can't arrest me. So it's about you people. If I knew Tele was going to betray me and make peace with Wike, I wouldn't have left the PDP. I will encourage you to remain steadfast and expect the worst, because some commissioners will soon join him or will remain with us to sabotage our efforts. And how do you go to elections with a divided house and political moles? I'm learning people " --Gov. Amaechi

Politics / Buhari And Amechi Were Arrested In London(must See Video) by arinzeuba: 3:59am On Mar 22, 2015
Buhahari arrives at Chatham House this morning with governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State
He arrived in a private people people carrier – see above.  Why was he leaving in a police van?  Someone nearby can be heard shouting “take the picture” and “we got him”.

Is this related to the failed attempt to kidnap Umaru Dikko from the streets of London in the 1980s and fly him back to Nigeria?

We are trying to confirm this with London’s Metropolitan Police.

It was like a joke yesterday when a video showing clips of General Buhari being conveyed to a waiting British Police Armor Criminal Carrier {ACC} to be whisked off, was shared from the Media and Publicity page of the PDPPCO on facebook. Though its source is yet unknown. In the video as attached here, General Buhari was accompanied by His Personal Lawyer, His Personal Doctor and 2 leaders (Ameachi and some other unknown leader) of the APC into the waiting van admits tight security.

Details of eye witnesses in the Chatham House events informed fact-seeking Nigerians that the General and his entourage had arrived the venue in a Limousine. Though some APC apologist had made claims that the General arrived in a London taxi which has been dispelled as the regular falsehood of the APC. On inquiries from some Nigerians in the UK on why a Nigerian former General and currently a Presidential was whisked away by the police, after the widely publicized event that was shaded in secrecy led to some revelations.

REVELATIONS WERE AS FOLLOWS
The General was actually whisked off by a British arm of the Interpol (International Police) on an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court of The Hague.

Further revelations showed that a Criminal Case against Humanity, filed in the by one Professor GORAN SLUITER, an international Law Professor of the University Amsterdam, sometime in the first week of February will be due for hearing on the second week of April. The ICC took the advantage of raising an arrest warrant to secretly arrest the General and be kept until the court hearing. Reasons was that in an unlikely event that the opposition party were to win the March 28th elections, it would be difficult to arrest the arrest the General to face his charges.

General Buhari will be standing trial for his crimes against humanity where over 800 Nigerian youths were killed during the post-election crisis in 2011, and another 65,000 persons displaced. The family of the slain have already given their evidence and are seeking justice for the death of the family members. Joint as co- plaintiffs in the case are youths that were dismembered and handicapped during the post-election crisis. Also as evidence are recordings of General Buhari publicly inciting his followers to kill all those that tried to take away their votes. In another evidence, are voice recordings of Buhari where he told some members of the press that the youths that died, deserved to die.

Findings revealed that the General was actually kept in the custody of the police in an undisclosed location for four days while members of the opposition rallied round for his bail. As we speak, some members has been held as surety for the General with some advance bonds have been made by his party.

SIDE THEORY
Part of the conspiracy revealed that the party hierarchy are not really bothered about what happens to Buhari as the Vice Presidential candidate will automatically stand in as President in an unlikely event that the APC wins the elections.

It is also revealed that as at when the Interpol arrived the venue, The APC Leaders like Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Ameachi had quietly scampered for safety in a like events that they would be asked to accompany the General. They were not sure what the offences were. Ameachi was practically forced to join them.. he was said to have told the Police to allow him walk in alone. Notice a policeman pushing him in? Tinubu was no where to be found till the departure of the Van.

Al Qaeda linked billionaires fund Buhari’s campaign – By Lloyd Ukwu
March 20, 2015

The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari recently returned from a visit to London. He went to London for a medical treatment. The grueling presidential campaign had taken a toll on the ailing Septuagenarian and he desperately needed medical attention. His appearance, while in London, at the Chatham House was merely a smokescreen; it dissembled the object of the visit: medical treatment. Although, the APC presented his London visit as a “working visit”, he failed to attend most of the programs organized as part of his “working visit”. His Chatham House appearance allowed the APC an opportunity to sell the Buhari presidential candidacy to the world, and especially, the United Kingdom. At the Chatham House, he presented a paper titled “Prospects for Democratic Consolidation in Africa: Nigeria’s Transition”.
The Chatham House hype belied the outrageous cost of that public relations outing for the APC. It cost the APC about N5 billion. The money was for the payments for the speaking engagement, numerous foreign consultants, air tickets for the huge APC delegation (including a contingent of governors), the purchase and renting of vehicles, hotel bills and other logistics.
Unknown to many, is that the London visit also allowed Buhari the opportunity to source funds from a number of Arab donors. Despite repeated denial by General Muhammadu Buhari and the APC of being sponsored by Arab countries and businessmen, intelligent sources revealed that Mr. Buhari made contacts with at least two Saudi billionaires with links to the Al Qaeda terrorist group. He solicited and received their financial support for his presidential campaign.
That Buhari is seeking financial help from Arab billionaires is fathomable. There are indications that some of his erstwhile financial backers are now withholding their funding from his political quest. Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State, an APC stalwart, recently made it clear that he cannot continue to fund the Buhari campaign because he needs money to pay state government employees. Another major financier of the Buhari campaign, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is disenchanted with the APC. Consequently, he is hobnobbing with the ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). And once provided a soft landing, he will readily return to the PDP. He has since seized to be a financial supporter of the Buhari candidacy.
Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State was one of the most important financiers of the APC presidential candidate. Notorious for his flippancy and reckless remarks, he repeatedly embarrassed the APC with his unguarded statements. In one of his brazen remarks, he said that Nigerian soldiers fighting the Boko Haram insurgency can justifiably disobey orders from their commanders. Legal experts considered his statement treasonable because Section 44 of the Criminal Code provides that: Any person who attempts to (a) seduce any member of the armed forces of Nigeria from his duty and allegiance; or (b) to incite any such persons to commit an act of mutiny is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for life. The party tried to rein in his glibness. Piqued by his party’s remonstration, Amaechi is sulking, and in retaliation against the party, is holding back funds from the Buhari campaign.
With the once bloated coffers of the Buhari Presidential Campaign drying up, Buhari is in a desperate need of money. As such, he is reaching out to Arab donors for money. The sourcing of money by Buhari from Saudi businessmen with links to global terrorist groups is illegal. The Nigerian electoral act prohibits political candidates from raising foreign money and /or taking money from foreign donors. Yet, in his characteristic disdain for the constitution and national laws, Buhari went with cap in hand to London, begging money from fundamentalist Saudi Arabian billionaires with ties to both Al Qaeda and ISIS. It is important to note that Buhari, his Saudi sponsors and the leadership of both ISIS and Al Qaeda are all fundamentalist Sunni Moslems.
Buhari’s ties to terrorist group, Boko Haram (with its enduring ties to Al Qaeda) that has lately declared its affiliation with ISIS have never been in doubt. For an earlier proposed negotiation between the terrorist group and the Nigerian government in Saudi Arabia, the Boko Haram chose him as its representative. He once proposed a general amnesty, financial rewards, jobs and political appointments for Boko Haram terrorists. Before he started feigning the image of a national, unifying figure and trustworthy presidential candidate, he was critical of the Nigerian army for killing Boko Haram members and his supporters celebrated Boko Haram attack on Nigerian soldiers.

BUHARI STILL CLUELESS ON ECONOMIC ISSUES AFTER 32 YEARS - Richard Omoko
I watched with keen interest the APC town hall meeting of Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th March, 2015. Various questions were asked on how APC intends to tackle such matters as Security, Job creation, Power generation, women empowerment, The exchange rate amongst others issues.

In their response to the issues or questions asked, Buhari and his fellow APC stalwarts at the town hall meetings sounded like semi-illiterates when giving responses to this crucial matters of importance. Before we draw conclusions let us go back in history to how our economy used to be like before Buhari ceased power by force through a coup de ta in 1983.

As a young lad I can remember vividly that this was how Nigeria was before Buhari ceased power by force
1. When it came to exchange rate it was $1.00 exchanging for 0.60 kobo (yes if you didn't know that), the British Pound Sterling was £1.00 exchanging for N2.00.
2. We didn't require visa's to travel abroad. Now interestingly while you only needed to board a plane with your blank passport, your visa would be stamped at the point of entry in almost all nations of the world including the United Kingdom (UK). America was begging us Nigerians to come and visit (so we could spend our money there) they even offered free scholarships to most Nigerian students to study up to masters level, and when they finished their studies there were mouth watering offers of jobs and accommodation waiting for their picking should they decide to stay. Some Nigerians even had special luxury treatments given to them right from the airports at America.
3. In most shops in the UK they would close their shops to other customers once they learnt that you were a Nigerian and intend to shop there. This treatment is only now meeted out to Arab sheiks.
4. It was automatic citizenship for any Nigerian baby born in the UK, with immediate allowances for both baby and mother.
5. Our International Trade fairs used to be a big issue, with every notable company from all nations in the world fighting to ensure their participation. These companies even released their products to Nigerians with only a promise to pay.
6. The economy was bouyant and merriment was always in the air, every family had one reason to celebrate. People like Fela that were hooked on candies could afford to travel to the UK just to buy candies from his favourite shop. I could afford to buy my big dip for 50k.
7. Nigerians were driving only brand new cars. You were considered poor if you happen to drive a car that was more than 3 years old talkless of buying a 'tokubo' vehicle (ie. Second hand vehicle). The major automobile plants were working a Volkswagen beetle was N3,000, a Peugeot 504 was N7,000.
8. Prices of essential commodities were affordable, a can of liquid milk was 25k, a bottle of coca cola was 15k, a bag of rice was N15, a loaf of bread (family size) was 50k.
There are more happenings I can reel out, however this is enough for our youths to digest as they never new how Nigeria was before Buhari came in is usual manner of brute force with no economic knowledge and destroyed everything.

When Buhari ceased power in 1983.
1. Buhari immediately introduced import license when he ceased power. This policy favoured only his cronies as they were the only one who had access to import license. They only obtained the licenses and sold it for a price without importing anything. Some would use such license to import sand from Saudi Arabia, expired tires from Europe, empty containers etc. They did this just to pocket the exchange dollar. The resultant effect was the shambles this caused by increasing black maketeering, increasing smuggling, creating a scramble for foreign currency and hence devaluing the naira. For those who do not know it was in Buhari's regime that the dollar started to appreciate over the naira from what was 0.60kobo to $1.00.
2. Buhari's singular act of importing a human being in a crate (Umaru Dikko) from the UK resulted in the UK removing all those privileges that we enjoyed. From then on you can only come into the UK with a visa, and not anymore as a citizen of the common wealth. The United States also followed suit from this.
3. His regime introduced Price control. This lack of elementary understanding of Pricing and the forces of Demand and Supply caused a lot of hardship for Nigerians as you had long queues for such 'essential commodities' as bread, milk, tea, sugar etc. Of course traders hoarded their wares as you couldn't force them to sell at a loss thereby creating a sky rocketing inflation.
4. The overblown stance of corruption and Nigeria being a drug nation dealt a big blow on our image internationally as most nations started viewing Nigerians with suspicion, to them every Nigerian is either corrupt or a drug dealer. The killing of Bartholome Owho and two others without a convincing trial made other countries view us as babaric. They were no longer comfortable in having business dealings with Nigerians based purely on trust. This we are seeing Buhari repeat yet again.

Buhari's current clamour after 32 years
The chanting is yet to change after 32 years, the so called 'change' agent is still to change from his old ways.
1. On security: as usual he continues to blow it out of proportion hence scaring intended foreign investors whose Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) would having given a boost to the economy and helped in creating jobs. Agreed the current security situation is not perfect, however only until this week did he acknowledge the efforts of our gallant soldiers. His utterances in the past has caused a lot of security breeches that had costs lives and properties of Nigerians. These statements he made had helped increased both followers and symphatisers of boko haram.
2. On Economy: "I would create two million jobs in one year". Free Education, free lunch, free monthly allowances/stipends for jobless youths, he wants to build four refineries in less than four years, his claims of single handedly increasing the price of crude oil and so on just goes to show that he still is clueless on the economy and how it operates. For instance how does he intend to increase the price of crude oil when he cannot control it's demand and OPEC has limited control to its supply as a means of price increase instruments. They clamour oil theft (even though he would not tell you that it started way back in the 70's when he was Petroleum Minister). For those who care to know the US being the largest consuming nation of crude oil is using Fracking and other new technologies to explore for crude as a result demand for global oil is low and the price has to fall because supply is constantly increasing due to oil theft not only from Nigeria but from all ISIS controlled nations and Libya inclusive.
The clear difference between United Party of Nigeria (UPN) led by Awolowo and APC led by Tinubu is very simple. Awolowo would tell you that he would create jobs, industries, roads, free education and so on. Awo doesn't stop at that he would break down the economy for you and show you where and how he would raise the money to perform and fulfil all his promises. That is why the till today the western region is still living off Awo's legacies. Please someone ask Tinubu/Buhari (no pun intended as this is the ticket) to show us how they intend to raise the capital for their promises. They are only building castles in the sky.

Politics / GEJ A Good Leader by arinzeuba: 4:24am On Mar 19, 2015
As leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Honorable President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has created a transformational vision of a more secure, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

President Jonathan’s vision is rooted in his steadfast belief that the Federal Government can and must provide the necessary investments in people and infrastructure to transform the Nigerian economy. The President and his team have striven to create an enabling environment to grow the private sector, create good jobs and allow greater inclusiveness for women and youth in a successful economy and society reaching far into the twenty-first century.

This is the foundation for the President’s national Transformation Agenda. The Agenda’s achievements pave the way for the next phase of broad based economic development and will cement Nigeria’s preeminence as Africa’s biggest economy.

The Transformation Agenda represents societal change as it is designed to lift millions out of poverty and offer hope where little may have existed before. It is an ambitious initiative that is laying the cornerstone of a thriving, secure, safe and prosperous future for all Nigerians. The government of Nigeria is excited to present these policy priorities.

Politics / The Inresponsible Allegation Of APC by arinzeuba: 6:59pm On Mar 17, 2015
The irresponsible allegations of APC:
These guys dont realise that in Cote d Ivoire, there was already a civil war on, and the UN was part of the electoral process. Also, the opposition had the backing of a certain European Nation! This was why the UN and the AU accepted that the opposition form a parallel Government, after the Supreme Court ruled in favour of the opposition, after the third count. Nigeria is a totally different scenario. No Western Gov is backing any opposition here (people should stop confusing AKPD/consultants propaganda with the neutral position of the US Government). There is no civil war on in Nigeria with the UN involved in our election. The threat of forming a parallel Gov should be treated as TREASON. The false accusations from Tinubu, Mbaka and co, "of Mr President wanting to kill them", should be legally dealt with! This is criminal, especially, when there is absolutely no evidence. Nigerians dont want desperate politicians to cause confusion and turn Nigeria into a bloodbath, simply because of their own selfish desperation to grab power at all costs!

Politics / Who Benefit From Prospond Election by arinzeuba: 4:40am On Mar 16, 2015
THERE is no doubt that Nigeria is going through one of the toughest periods in its democratic history, writes Uju Okoye, a graduate student in Political Science from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada, specialising in comparative politics with a regional focus on Africa.

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) decision in February 2015 to postpone the federal elections for six weeks, due to security concerns in the north-eastern states affected by the militant Islamist group Boko Haram, shocked and angered the Nigerian electorate and many international observers.

INEC’s decision increased existing tensions in what has become Nigeria’s most contested election since 1999, when former military ruler General Olusegun Obasanjo, backed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), beat his rival Chief Olu Falae.

While many voters branded the postponement as a dirty trick by President Goodluck Jonathan - who seeks to unfairly win the election - closer examination shows that delaying the election might have handed the win to the opposition party All Progressives Congress (APC), led by General Muhammadu Buhari.

Nigeria is enjoying its longest period of civil rule since its independence from the British in the 1960s and has become one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, recently surpassing South Africa as the continent’s largest economy.

However, corruption and insurgent groups have severely affected the lives of Nigerians, raising doubts over the ruling party’s governing capacities.

The PDP has won every election since 1999, thanks to an informal arrangement under which the presidency alternates between a candidate from the predominantly Christian south and one from the Muslim-majority north.

However, in the run-up to the 2015 election, the PDP splintered and the APC has emerged as the main opposition force.

On March 28, 2015, President Jonathan will face General Buhari, whom he had defeated in the 2011 poll. After that election, a dissatisfied General Buhari claimed the PDP had rigged the result.

Sectarian violence followed, which led to 800 people losing their lives and a further 65,000 being displaced. A crimes against humanity case on General Buhari’s name has been submitted to the International Criminal Court.

The INEC claims its decision to postpone the 2015 election came on the advice of the military, which said it could not guarantee the safety of the electoral commission in key areas where Boko Haram is active.

Both General Buhari and President Jonathan have narrowly escaped assassination attempts during the campaign trail, giving weight to the argument that insurgents are not simply against one candidate but against the very principle of a free and democratic Nigeria.

Many voters say this delay is a PDP strategy to win time and sabotage an opposition that had started topping opinion polls. However, there is more evidence to suggest that the INEC’s decision hurts President Jonathan’s popularity considerably more than General Buhari’s.

Goodluck Jonathan is Nigeria’s first president not to have links to the military, but his tenure has been criticised for its lacklustre response to Boko Haram and he has been at the centre of multiple corruption scandals.

There is no doubt that General Buhari will attract a significant protest vote. While Nigerian politics are often played according to religious lines, the retired major general has capitalised on his military experience and austere lifestyle to attract voters outside his traditional northern support base.

Thanks to some deft political manoeuvres, he has emerged as the wronged party because of the INEC’s decision, which has dealt a major – perhaps mortal – blow to the President’s camp.

But General Buhari has a checkered past. In 1983, he overthrew the feckless civilian administration of President Shehu Shagari and justified the coup by employing a strong nationalist narrative, painting himself as the strong man who would re-establish order and governance.

Despite the oil boom in the 1980s, Nigeria’s economy struggled, on the back of high inflation which made basic goods virtually unaffordable for the average person.

General Buhari drastically reduced social expenditure, scrapped subsidies on social services and opened health and education to private contractors. Under a nationalist agenda of rejecting outside help (including the IMF), he regulated the imports of foreign goods and tried to bring in line the country’s balance of payments. His heavy-handed reforms backfired and the country’s standard of living decreased dramatically.

In the face of decreasing public support, he was deposed in the 1985 military coup and jailed for 40 months.

How Nigeria will look after the election on March 28, 2015, is anybody’s guess. While it is unclear now if the recently formed transnational military coalition will succeed in defeating Boko Haram in time for the presidential poll, the terrorist group has suffered a string of setbacks lately, losing control of several towns. However, thanks to a renewed military offensive in the north, Nigeria’s security situation is on the upswing.

Many voters are likely put aside General Buhari’s past and rely on his promise to revamp Nigeria’s security. It remains to be seen if he can actually deliver on those promises

Politics / We Need Gej(our Moses) Not Gmb(pharoah) by arinzeuba: 10:48pm On Mar 14, 2015
A Pharoah will take us back to the land of Egypt, where we will become slaves again (apart from the few who will be his associates and collaborators), whilst all others will be whipped into order, slammed into jails without due process and will have to bow down to the Pharaoh.

The Pharaoh's tribe and religion will be super-imposed upon all, as the born to rule superiority complex will override all other tribes and religion/s.

Some slaves may want to go back to Egypt again, to be slave masters, as they see gains lording it over other slaves, but the majority of the other slaves want their own freedom and will rather take their destiny into their own hands, serving their own living GOD.

A Moses is no Saint and has his faults, but like Moses, he is leading the slaves to cross the red sea and then take the slaves into their promised land, a desert, flowing with milk and honey.

To be able to get to the promised land, the slaves have to first cross the red sea, and need Moses.

However, we are at a cross road and need to decide between a Pharaoh who will take us back as slaves into the land of Egypt, or a Moses who will help the slaves cross the red sea, into the promised land.

Spiritually, we all have to decide if we want Pharaoh and to go back as slaves to the land of Egypt, or we can chose Moses, who has his faults, but who is already taking us to cross the red sea and is trying Spiritually, the battle is on, either back to Egypt as slaves and bowing to Pharaoh, or choosing Moses with his faults, then, crossing the red sea into the promised land.

Politics / GMB Will Disapoint Nigerians by arinzeuba: 11:05pm On Mar 13, 2015
Buhari believes that his religion is superior to other religions. He gave his total support for sharia with this statement: I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria. God willing,we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the sharia in the country. In 2003 election he made another shocking statement: Muslims should only vote those who will promote Islam. We are more than the Christians if you add our Muslim brothers in the west. Is this the kind of leader we need in this country? NO. So be wise and cast your vote to GEJ.
