Celebrities › Re: 'Who Is Toke Makinwa?' - John Boyega Reacts To Toke Makinwa’s Assault Story by ariyike87(f): 2:56pm On Apr 04, 2018 |
This damsel has suffered enough battering from haters, yet she still stands strong...Omotoke, you are true definition of STRONG. Letenwam: Superstar Nigerian born British actor, John Boyega, has finally reacted to Toke Makinwa's rant about getting assaulted by one of his bodyguards.
Recall that Toke Makinwa had claimed to have been assaulted at a restaurant, Crossroads, in Lagos by one of John Boyega's bodyguards.
The media personality who appeared angry over the incident, took to her Instagram page on Thursday, January 4, 2017, where she wrote a really detailed account of what happened at the said restaurant which is situated in the premises of Eko Hotel and Suites.
According to her, even though she had an early flight to catch, she wanted to make clear her experience in the hands of the bodyguard to Hollywood actor, John Boyega. She feels that if she was a guy, she wouldn't have been treated in such manner.
Toke went on to write about how she was not only embarrassed, but also prevented from being served in the restaurant until John Boyega came in and the bodyguard gave the management the go-ahead.
However when interviewed on CoolFM this morning, the incident was brought to John Boyega's notice and after some bouts of laughter, he asked who Toke Makinwa is. Here's the video below;

Family › Re: The Girl Child And Sex! Mistakes African Mothers Make By Ayeni Faith Damilola by ariyike87(f): 4:41pm On Mar 29, 2018 |
very beautiful write up.. Kudos! Africlegend: The Girl Child And Sex! When African Mothers Make Mistakes.
African Mothers are out-and-out disciplinarians. They can flog sense into a Child's brain in a flash. An average African Child knows the whereabouts of a particular rod, specially contrived to romance his/her body at the slightest dare. Beautiful enough, a black skinned child becomes a practical psychoanalyst at a very tender age. He/she makes no mistake in decoding mother's eyes movement. When an African Mother coughs, she's likely passing a message her children understand. A girl reading my blurb would remember how her mum would scratch the ground, with her foot, in a gathering, just to let her know she wasn't sitting the right way, as she was expected to sit in a way that would not alter the dark of her privates. I would necessarily google my mother's eyes to seek approval before passing the hat on anything offered by a stranger. If not, the delicacy of the candy or sweetmeat would not be a match to my Mum's hot slaps. Oh! African Mothers condone no-nonsense, only those children, who practiced peanut stealing can explain. After being beaten like he/she is disgusting, a child caught stealing would be made to go hungry for hours. In my continent, parents teach their children, how to talk in public, how to dress modestly, how not to be gluttonous, how to relate with elders, how to eat without beating the plate, how to greet, how to cook, how to wake up early, how to read for exams, how to be orderly and well behaved, how to run errands, how to pray and so many 'how to(s)', but won't cram them with: how to fall in love without breaking bones, how to deal with sexual urge, how sex feels, how to relate with the opposite sex, and, how to go about birth control and/or safe sex. So, since the failure to plan is a good plan to fail, who teaches African ladies the rudiments of sex and the different styles they explore in bed? Their mothers! How? The next paragrah!
When a sex nine-to-fiver(Olosho) is your guest for business, if you can convince her, she would prepare a very delicious meal that you would not want to exhaust in a giffee. She learnt it from her Mum. Little wonder, a runs girl would still sit with her laps closed. She learnt that, too, from her Mum. Don't be surprised, if a prostitute woke you up in the morning with, "let us pray." Not her fault. Even that, she had learnt from her parents and it's already part of her. Some Ladies were in Ekiti for the most recently conducted Jamb exams, my friends hooked them up and the rest is history. One of them complained of how one of the Ladies almost killed him. He almost died feeding the kitty. The question is: From where did those young ladies learn those bed smarts? Seriously, their mothers caused it in the least!
An average African Mother recites to her daughter(s), "run away from boys". She tells her children how guys could be dangerous, how the only good a boy can offer is: impregnate ladies and dump them. How a handshake with a boy could mean a nine month off. She only teaches her daughters how sex is a Sin. Some even cage their females, while some would threaten fire if they ever saw their daughters with boys. Many grown up African Women would even gossip their neighbours' daughters found gamboling with males, they call such girls names and treat them with disdain and contempt. Unfortunately, the realities of life is not favourable to such disciplines. It happens that a girl programmed to stay away from boys shares space with same in the classroom and is compelled to relate. In the make ready of such ordinary ties-up, a girl finds boys more accommodating and fun to be with. She discovers how her newly found boyfriend is nothing close to the danger zone her mum has made of his likes. She begins to see the lies and/or exaggerations in her mum's rhetorics and takes other steps forward. Haven discovered faults in her mum's voice, the innocent then runs to friends, either male or female, to ask questions meant for a mother. She falls in love with one charming guy in class, but, Not trusting her mum's judgement(her mum must not even hear of her falling in love) she asks her new-found lover questions meant for her Mum. "How does it feel like to have sex?" "Is sex really bad?" She feels some heat between her legs and discovers she's wet. Not trusting what her mum's ruling would be, she would still have to confide in her new-found guy. Believing what the guy has to say, "I'll stay by you forever," "I'll die for you," "I'll make you my wife," and so many other emotional ABCs, the only thing stopping her from allowing the man acces to her pant is, "but my mum said sex was a sin, and that it was bad." Trust the hot demon, he has the answer already," "if sex is that bad and should be avoided, how did they come by you ? Seriously, I love you... and won't do anything to hurt you. If you love me too, allow me this once." What more do an ignorant doll face need to give in? She eats the fruit and knows what it tastes like. She now wants to enjoy it better, and, willing to blow her boy's mind in bed, she researches styles, practices them, gets thumbs up, and becomes addicted.
On the other hand, girls who are fortunate to have less-unsparing mothers, who school them on love, sex, birth control etc, grow up to be stronger, more confident and informed. When they say 'no' they mean it. Some of them make virgins of themselves. What would a guy tell them about sex that their Mums have not told them? They are independent and worship their hymen. They dream of the right Man and have their standard set. Don't mind them. They already know that men are friendly, fun to be with, and caring. Mum had already told them how beautiful it is to fall in love. That men are not dangerous but could do anything to get under one's pant, makes sense to them. When they are getting overwhelmed with sweet talks, romantic, erotic and lovey-dovey voices, they run home to ask questions, and, trust their Mums, they would be schooled most affectionately. Even, when they make mistakes, they cry and tell mum everything and she knows what to do. So, it's easier for them to get back on their feet and move on.
Anyways, when I become a parent, I will tell my daughter(s), how falling in love is pretty. How it is possible to be in a relationship without giving in to sex. How beautiful Hanky panky is, when delayed till the wedding night. How sex is meant only for the married. How risky it is to make love before working down the aisle. How she should feel free to introduce to me, her boyfriend and how I'm always available to answer her questions on Love, sex and relationship.

We can not conclude whether he is foolish or not. Some people are just like that; they love crazily. franchasng: He is a fool no good heart anything. Some guys are fools!
If u want to know a guy that got a good heart, go check how he treats his mother, his sisters, his cousins, his neighbors and his friends not how he treats a girl that has mastered how to manipulate him knowing fully well that he is an slowpoke, u ladies must stop deceiving foolish men like this one |
Romance › Re: I Saw My Girlfriend's Chats With Her Malaysia Based Lover, I'm Walking Away by ariyike87(f): 5:09pm On Mar 14, 2018 |
Like seriously you had to endure all of that? Dude you got a good heart, but please learn to invest your resources instead of wasting them on an "unworthy girl" chyy5: I Think Is Right To Walk Away This Time.
The woman I so much love has been taken me for granted. There is a guy in Malaysia that takes her time all the time. I have tried severally to stop her from contacting the guy but she still does. I am not the kind of guy that beats up a lady otherwise I would have beaten her up very well. The so called Malaysian guy doesn't provide any of her needs. Infact from their heartbreaking chats I read, there was a time the guy told her she is free to date any other guy for money that she shouldn't depend on him for any benefit. My gal told him that she's not in for money. This is a gal I love with all my heart. I've been enduring this for long thinking she will change. I've had heart to heart talk severally with her telling her how pained I am. Yet every night she will be on whatsapp call with this guy for close to 3 hours after work. Their whatsapp chat breaks my heart each time I intrude to read. She keep telling the guy that she doesn't have anybody and even when the guy argued she told him he will confirm when he sex her. It kept me weak yet I continued loving her. Just last week my cousin that is to travel to the states told me to come over to her place. Meanwhile my gal has been having issues with accommodation. Where she stays isn't really OK and her rent will expire ending of this month. I taught it wise to rent the place for my gal. I took her to the place and we concluded with my cousin; she agreed to leave the place for her and even auctioned all her property for her which supposed to amount over 200k but my cousin decided to collect 150k because of me. I collected her account details and told her I will transfer the money to her including the house rent so she can pay the landlord to avoid extra agent fee. As we were going back, my gal was busy apologising to her Malaysian guy why she wasn't able to pick his calls because the guy has been calling when we were there. She told the guy she went out with her house agent to search for an accommodation. I was mad. I am now being referred to as house agent. I forcefully collected her phone to call the guy. She almost died. She throw herself on the bed and was crying pleading I shouldn't call. I left her house. Meanwhile she's having issues raising deposits since she's a DSA. As God may have it I have some funds to help her out but due to her behaviour I've decided to move on She's been calling and pleading but I know is all because of the house and deposits since she's not willing to let the guy go I love her so much and it breaks my heart. I have called her severally and pleaded with her how hurtful I feel seeing her chats with that guy yet she continued. This is a guy that doesn't care about her needs but she kept glued to him. I've endured much hence I am walking away. It pains, yes it pains but I have no choice. |
Education › Re: Perfect Payback For Lecturer Who Failed Me For 6 Years In The University by ariyike87(f): 12:55pm On Mar 14, 2018 |
wow! This is a lesson to them who thinks life is all about them....hmmmm Lautechgossip: My first day in the biology laboratory was a dreadful one. During a briefing session a day before we were to have practical during my 100level, We had been told that it is a customary to always put on the ‘laboratory coat’ each and every time we have practicals, hence whosoever without the laboratory coat will be punished.
I’d no money as at that time to buy laboratory coat, and the first practical came just too soon. I couldn’t borrow as my only friend in the school then was Asiwaju Olalekan Godson Ayodeji. Anyway, I knew breaking the rule of not putting a ‘laboratory coat’ was a bad idea but I was young and wrong to take that risk.
I had no choice than to enter into the laboratory room to get engaged with my fellow departmental mates.
Not quite long after I entered the lab, one of the biology lecturer who handled biology practical came around. He spotted few of us without the ‘laboratory coat’ and decided to play a fast track on us, he wanted to get hold of us. I was fortunate to be sitting near the entrance door, so I got away.
He was able to lay hands on few guys unaware but everyone of us that escaped went into his black book. He called our class rep then, and collected our matric numbers. Printed them and pasted them in his office. It was printed boldly.
That was how myself and other guys that ran away failed Both the practical and the actual Biology course that year.
Personally, I sat for the same courses for good 6years; making it 6 different times entirely.
On my third year of rewriting, I summoned courage to visit him in his office. I went to see him to plead with him, he didn’t know me, he only knew of my matric number. So I’d to take the bull by the horn to explain what had happened. He laughed wickedly and angrily sent me away, I returned the next day. He told me, if I return again then it would be very bad and I won’t like it. I left him for a week. I consulted my advisor, Dr. Mrs Adigun. I explained everything to her… She told me, I should give him time, and to return to him after sometime. That he may consider my ‘show of repentance’. So I didn’t return for like a month.
Then one day, I was returning from a friend’s place Osisami Babalola Enitan on Friday after I had gone to play chess, I saw him also returning from the mosque. We both met along the school former fine-art department, just by the way that leads to Alata eatery, Under G.
I quickly used the opportunity of meeting him just coming from the mosque to plead yet again. He treated me like ‘shit’
He still went on to fail me even in my 400level. On my final year, I went to him, then I was married. I took my pregnant wife to plead with him. He walked us out and told us never to come again. He promised to report to the school security. So we left.
He failed me for 5 years consecutively. It was hard for me.
I wept for days.
I told my parents, and few friends.. It prevented me from going for NYSC with my class 13′ set.
Then I turned to God. Yes, I was guilty and I deserved punishment but that was too much. I prayed ‘no be small’. So many different phases of life, most times it is always our fault that we find ourselves in difficult situations but immediately we get to seek God for help, he surely always provide us a solution to all of our problems. I seek God’s face and he never fails.
That biology course was taken away from him and was given to someone else, it was given to another Dr. I can never forget him.
I registered as a spill-over student, and sat for it, I borrowed 4 other courses to boost my CGPA, I collected my result and my biology 101, 102,104 and 106 were all A(s).
That was how I got cleared.
Moving forward, During my service year, after I redeployed from Abia state to Oyo, I was posted to the West Africa examination council. (Waec) Ijokodo, Ibadan. Great place with wonderful people. On my great work ethics, being dutiful and so diligent during my service year, I was given the green card and permitted at all time to work during their examination and marking exercise each and every time I so wish. Oluwafemi Martins my great boss, one of the great people I had worked with.
Coincidentally, I was officially sent to Ogbomoso marking venue as an assistant subject examination officer to partner my Waec daddy
I was handling Biology and chemistry subjects.
For the ones who don’t understand the whole drama during the Waec marking exercise.
We give out the examination scripts to qualified teachers or graduates with the certification in their specified subjects for marking and recording during a stipulated period of 21/23
So that day in April, there was a long queue of Examiners waiting to submit their CV. Then this Dr. lecturer that failed me for 5years was on the queue too, I’d spotted him.
My wonderful Waec daddy was beside me, he asked while I was smiling, I simply told him that something funny will soon happen, and when it was this Dr’s turn, He greeted and called me “sir” (bending his head). I quickly stood up to greet him too. But I was so surprised, he didn’t recognize my face. Apparently, he would never have thought and believe and to be possible for the young man in front of him to be me.
So I pretended as if I had nothing in mind too, I was going through his CV when he started pleading that he really needed my help concerning this marking stuff, he told me he came along with his daughter who is a gate crasher ( these are people who are new to the marking system) and his wife who also had marked for a long time but needed to mark too.
He told me Ladoke Akintola university of technology had been on strike for over a year and nothing seemed fine, no salary. No money and nothing at all. I should help him. At that point I told him to call his wife and daughter. He did. I then asked him; “Sir, Is it truly that you do not recognize my face?”
He said, “ehn! It’s like this face is familiar o but you know there are many people like that I can’t remember. I can’t really remember where and when I had seen your face”. I told him to try, that I will only help him if he can remember where we had met and when..
He didn’t remember so I helped him out with my surname, I told him. “This is Akeju, the guy you failed for consecutive 5 years. The guy that brought his pregnant wife to beg you but still, you sent us away”.
At that point, he was dumbfounded. He left without saying a word. His wife and daughter were confused and everyone on the queue too. His wife asked what the matter was, I told her to go and ask her husband.
Shortly, His wife and daughter returned. He had explained everything, they knelt down and asked for forgiveness. I smiled and asked them to tell him to come back. He had gone home. In the evening he did returned.
He asked for forgiveness, and I did forgave him. More than he had asked for, I granted him all of his requests. We were not permitted to give more than a packet packed of scripts but I gave him more than one. Just for him to make more money. He wept uncontrollably.
Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”.
I only know of the way of doing good even unto them that do me evil.
Till I left ogbomoso, he was always calling because I had put enough food on his table and not only him, but also for his family during that difficult period they were going through.
It’s left to him, if he will change or not.
Our tomorrow isn’t promised.

Green is lif!!! EdifiedCEO: Every fairytale has a beginning and for Ibukun and Dogba, it started with a vibrant introduction ceremony which will stand as a memorable event that changed the course of their lives.
Every couple has their story, for some who are lucky, it is a pleasant ride all the way and for some others, it is an intense journey with high and lows that eventually stands the test of time.
These lovers reflect the beautiful side of love that nurtures, teaches, guides and embraces all flaws with no hesitation. Their lavish introduction ceremony was held recently and the moments were brilliantly captured.
While Dogba dazzled in green, pink and champagne gold, her man looked dapper as well, making them look just as elegant as a royal couple.
The photos from the glamorous ceremony which are being circulated online have had many wishing to have their day just as perfect as the adorable couple.
Anyone can tell the kind of woman Dogba is and it is one who seems ready to ride to the ends of the earth with her man.
Ibukun who appears like the happiest man alive knows he has found his soul mate and together, they look like two children who have found something stronger than love.
A powerful bond that made them decide to start a family as man and wife but more importantly, to stick together as partners in this crazy thing called life.

I agree with Renos on this Nkemakonam62: Dear men, side chicks look hotter than wives wife because you dont live with them. You only see them when they’ve perfected their makeup. Dont leave a wife because of a hot side chick. Her hotness is a mirage that will disappear once you start living with her. Don’t let your emotions deceive you that you have fallen in love. Falling in love is not as deep as standing in love. A person who falls in love can fall out of love. But when you stand in love, it means you stand up for your partner for better or worse. Falling in love is emotional. Standing in love is a choice of commitment #RenosNuggets

hbd to a beautiful actress. OgaDonald: @VIVIANGIST
Shared with caption ..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
Many a times as humans, we take certain things for granted. We take for granted that we can sleep and wake up strong and happy. We take for granted that our children are in good health, they are secured in school or they can travel and return safely to us.
We take for granted that we move freely buy anything we want and can afford any food of choice.
But when we hear news of children abducted from school, our parents killed in their farms where they have gone for legitimate activities or people kidnapped just to make quick cash.
It is only then that we realize that our freedom, safety, protection and indeed life given to us by God is unmerited favour.
It is then we know why the psalmist said we must praise God all the time. It is for this and many other reasons that I must not keep silent today as I thank God once again for His Grace upon my life. It's my birthday today and I share in the grief of parents whose children have been abducted again by Boko Haram in Yobe State.
I use this medium to urge the federal government of Nigeria to expedite action in rescuing the children. Not again shall parents pass through the horrors of Chibok parents whose children were abducted in 2014 and today not all have been rescued.
It's important to also emphasize that the main responsibility of government to the people is the protection of life and property. Government at all levels should place much premium on life of Nigerians and protect them. It is a constitutional duty. We must respect people's life and dignity. As we pray for God's intervention in Nigeria, I call on President Muhammad Buhari to take urgent steps to rescue the Yobe girls and stem the increasing wave of insecurity in Nigeria. We pray for God's intervention.
