Sky Blue:
I can't believe anybody even takes this guy seriously anymore. He is simply there for comic relief and the only thing more annoying than his rants are the way he always tries to sell himself as a spokesperson for Africa. How can a man who seems to look down on anything south of the sahara be talking of African unity? The last thing Africa (united or not) needs is another despot. The world needs to stop giving this man relevance.
May God punish gadafi, he is not my leader, angry
There is something called the demographic transition theory that says that "underdeveloped" will have to pass through a industrialization phase before we can become more "developed" china and india are currently in this industrialization phase and europe and America went through theirs in the 1800s and earlier 1900s.
So my guess is that after China and India have passed their industrialized phase, we will be the next. I think that we probably won't have it now since we won't be able to compete with China and India who have already started ahead of us and developed the industry.

That's one theory of mine. What do you think?
overall though, i think these stuff anyways are bullocks. I think things will happen when it will happen (maybe influenced by my religious views).
I'm not a fan of industrialization for some reason. lol all i can think of are heavily polluted streets and what not (china is currently going through this). maybe we should think about how we can skip that step. lol
I agree with you on the industrialization phase. But I cant add anything to that now. will have to do my research first. The British Victorian era will be the best case study I think. i will be back. LOL

Politics › Gaddafi To Stop African Migrants by Arosa(op): 12:50pm On Dec 14, 2010
Col Gaddafi said Europe "could turn into Africa" as "there are millions of Africans who want to come in".
We don't know what will happen, what will be the reaction of the white and Christian Europeans faced with this influx of starving and ignorant Africans," Col Gaddafi said. We don't know if Europe will remain an advanced and united continent or if it will be destroyed, as happened with the barbarian invasions.  cry cry cry
blackteeth asked a question and no one is yet to answer it, can you mention on great civilisation that existed in sub-sahara africa? Most civilisation that existed in those regions were pretty much primitive and that was why when the europeans came they quickly crushed them and subdue them. Its quite unfortunate but its the hard truth, the europeans came with their guns, cannon, war ship and other artillery while the primitive africans fought them with their bows and arrows!! how the hell did we think we could defeat them,  and yet some people still talk about great african civilisation.
Benin empire etc  cool

Secondly, what do you think Nigeria/Africa would have been like if we were on a planet of our own and never came into contact with the Europeans? The Europeans brought in new knowledge to us including most of the things we use in our daily lives Today ranging from toothbrush to Cars and modern medicine . I doubt if Africans would have had this much knowledge and enjoying these wonders of  technology at the level of this present day if actually we were on different planet away from contact with the Europeans. I believe Africans may invent one or two on their own, but not close to the present day level of knowlegde.
Good question, But also think Europe would have been like if they were on a planet of their own, without contact with the rest of the world?
Mind you about two thousand years ago some Europeans were still living in caves.

Politics › Re: The Black African Gene by Arosa(m): 11:58am On Dec 09, 2010
The reason why Africans are the most underdeveloped in the world today is because we are the most heterogeneous people on the planet. Africa needs to move towards being a more homogeneous society.
A major study was founded by Jewish Professor Robert Putnam from Harvard University, showing that heterogeneous  societies are very stressful, and dysfunctional. People tend to disengage socially, huddle together, and avoid each other.
What is a homogeneous society? A homogeneous society is such a society where most of the people share the same types of cultural values, language, ethnicity and religious system.
Homogeneity comes to a society in a number of ways-ethnically (as is the case with the Japanese), religiously (many Arab nationals), culturally (Indians), politically (communism China) etc.
The question now is, what does Africa need to do to be a more homogeneous society?
Politics › Re: The Black African Gene by Arosa(m): 4:11pm On Dec 08, 2010
If you are clever enough to see that, then what in your opinion is the cause?
Good question but it doesn't have to be gene

Would you then not think that its the people? ?
If you blame it on bad leaders, then fair enough but WHY DO WE CONSTANTLY HAVE BAD LEADERS?
(the answer is simple: it is from us and this is across black Africa )
I agree it's our fault, but it has nothing to do with GENE
Politics › Re: Is Nigeria Really The Richest Country In West Africa? by Arosa(m): 3:59pm On Dec 08, 2010
At the time the op started this topic (2006) Ghana was the rishest; GDP per capita, while Nigeria is rishest; GDP purchasing power parity In West Africa. But now Nigeria is the rishest in any which way. LOL

Brown teeth it’s not about the gene, there is nothing wrong with the black gene. LOL.
It’s more of a sociological and political problem. Humans are advanced enough to learn from their mistakes.
Even ant has a well structural system that works for them.
Politics › Benin Lagos Road by Arosa(op): 2:40pm On Dec 04, 2010
Why is the Nigerian government neglecting this road? Is it not important enough for the country, I can’t understand why something as Important as a good road is not taken seriously by the Government. We need this road fixed immediately. huh

This is the same road where this horrific accident took place
A bus was ambushed by armed robbers, the passengers were robbed and raped, those that had nothing to give were asked to lie down on the road face down and the driver on gun point was commanded by the robbers to drive the bus over them
Very sad story that one.  cry cry

I think the state of the Nigerian federal roads should be used as a yardstick on the performance of any administration. cool
