Beetobee: As much as I detest what is depicted in this picture, I would like to set something straight. All the 'cheques' given to citizens in some countries abroad are from the taxes paid by citizens. No free money AT ALL. How many Nigerians pay their taxes( don't bring up the issue of VAT). Each dollar you receive as salary is taxed and every income earning individual is required to pay tax or risk jail. you're on point! |

Erosion2020: but 640 or there about is 3much biko, other states with 1month lockdown never reach 100 death sef. Tell me another story. it's not up to even 300 The number is just for propaganda... To put fear in people and to make them stay home!! To make both the government and NCDC to focus on kano! |

Erosion2020: 640 people died in Kano and no Nairalander to confirm the news, Where that arrewa boy sef? there's unusual death rate in kano Which was majorly caused by the lockdown Sick people were not able to go to the hospital And again kano is a very populated state in a normal day,People use to die like any other state in Nigeria... But the lockdown increased the death rate. |

Whenever there's a news of our soldiers bantering terrorist!!
Online terrorist will rubbish the claim and call our soldiers weak and tag the news fake!!
But when there's a news of Bandit/terrorist killing our soldiers... Online terrorists will Celebrate they wont care if the news is real or fake!!
These online terrorists can be seen above!!
These people don't have this country at heart!!
The only thing that entertain them is bad news!!
Either terrorist killing and sacking communities or Nigerian soldiers being killed!!
They hate any good news regarding Nigeria!!
They just want a bad news that will create an avenue for them to insult Buhari and condemn Nigeria!!
The only difference between the online terrorist and offline terrorist is that the online terrorist have not been given arms yet!
Ipobs are Evil!! |

Nwanyiogwashi: According to them they are the ones feeding the whole south with food so why are they protesting common one week of lockdown? the protest didn't happen in kano I still don't understand why you Igbos are so concerned about Kano not Lagos or your eastern states that this virus is gradually spreading... Most people in Kano here probably don't even know the name of your governor or igwe They don't even know if you exist and don't go about spreading fake news about your region You people at the other keep pushing rumors about Kano on Nairaland... You should be concern that your eastern states aren't testing more people and your governors are busy lifting ban on churches |

This is not Kano!!
This is Jos not Kano!
Igbos and their obsession with northern Nigeria!!
The virus is gradually spreading in your region And your governors ain't testing more people instead they're lifting ban on public places!!
Yes there's high rate of death in kano... Which was majorly caused by the lockdown...
Sick people are stocked at home and cant go to the hospital! Which Contributed to the high rate of death recently in kano!
Stop spreading fake news and trying to use this to mock kano... We are all in this together!! Pray for your region and pressure your governors to do more!!
As you can see.... Our people on Twitter are making kano to Trent which is bringing the attention of both NCDC and the government to take action!
You're here searching for anything to mock kano with!!
Thank God we are all in this together!! Some of una go soon get sense! |

Ohaozara: I believe you've lived in the East and can attest to the fact that we're not what people portray us to be, It seemed the hate is directed towards us, hence our people's hateful reactions too. We're very loving and accommodating, and we're always ready to mend fences. We can forget the past and champion a peaceful future sir. you're an Ambassador of peace!! The big problem of Ndi igbo is Nnamdi kanu and his ipob... These people are inciting hatred and bitterness among the Igbos... An average ipob is radical and can go any length to cause division and disunity among Nigerians! I'm not against Biafra struggle... We all have right for self determination and to decide for our future! This can be achieved diplomatically! Sir... Keep it up!! May God bless you and keep you alive! Iseeeeee!! |

I can boldly and proudly say that I have igbo family in the east! Tribalism is not part of me... What I'm doing here on Nairaland is standing for my own people... I can't continue overlooking people painting my Tribe and region black... I apologize to all peace loving Igbos on Nairaland!! |

Ohaozara: I think you're very much right in your analysis, but the current trend is "Ikuzirim". eg: Nkuzi; Onye Nkuzi (Teacher), Kuzie/Kuzia (Teach). But if you're learning Igbo, using Mbidi Igbo, it's Ikwu (say), Ikwuzirim (Teach me). Anyways you've gone deeply in Igbo Laguage to even know all these. I think most of the words used in Mbidi Igbo are no more popular/replaced, as Igbo just like every other languages grow. language is dynamic in nature |

Yemike: I've never think of it but I think it's not in their culture to beg. Igbo's can't beg they're more of entrepreneur s unlike our lazy Yoruba's and Hausa's idly roaming the street. Some able bodied Yoruba's have even taken it as their profession.
P.S. I'm a Yoruba o so don't quote me. Omenkata what's stopping you from reporting this comment?? Hypocrisy!! You all derive joy in painting other tribes black...why do you guys always think your tribe is superior to other tribes Nigeria?? We have beggars in every tribe and in every country! |
