These are young men and women (Civilian JTF) that suppose to be in schools or their business places, like any other Nigerian, but because of the nature of where they found themselves, they joined Civilian JTF to fight against Boko Haram insurgents.

Borno state government is seriously investing in civilian JTF popularly known as yan Gora

In this picture below... They're protecting farmers in a village in Borno.

Youths started forming these vigilante groups in June, 2012 in Maiduguri - the capital of Borno State and former seat of BH’s leadership - when they became fed up with BH’s incessant killings.

CJTF members patrol the streets armed with machetes, bows and arrows and sticks, identifying BH suspects, whom they turn in to the government security Joint Task Force (JTF). At times they also attack or even kill suspects themselves. Once a self-organized group, most members now receive US$113 per month from the Borno State government.

We are sending youths from 16 core northern states to defend Borno villagers!!

It's now a guerilla war to guerilla war!!

The only people that can defeat Bokoharam are the Kanuris themselves.

Thank God they've rise up!!!!

Buhari has failed the north!!

Buratia has failed his own state and his people!!

But thank God that the people of Borno have woken up to the reality.

The Government only protected their cities and then allow Bokoharam to have a free field in their villages just for politics.

Bokoharam is now a siphon pump to some powerful politicians and top military officers.

They don't want this Bokoharam to completely end... They are cashing out billions of dollars from insurgency both from the international communities and the billions of naira they allocate to the fight against insurgency.

Borno state Governor has decided to stand with his people and defend their lives by fully empowering Civilian JTF... Yan Gora.

I strongly believe in them cos I personally know their capacity!!

I agree with you totally............its not a Buhari issue though, it is a culmination of years of government failures at all levels, Buhari inclusive....People like Adamu Garba are also the North's problem. The ideology that we must support our own whether he is doing well or not is terrible. I supported the onslaught against Former President Jonathan - and i still do not regret it - but the attitude of many people to tag government critics as opposition elements or PDP is terrible. It is what you love and have interest in that should worry you. Some of these online paid agents do not love this country more than ordinary people like you and i.........Love of the President can never equate to patriotism.........see what is happening in America today.
That is why the likes of Sowore, Oby Ezekwesili, Junaid Mohammed, Aisha Yesufu and Sheik Gunmi remain my role models of who a true Patriot should be.

The Service Chiefs should be sacked..........That is where i am begrudging Buhari on.

I have been telling our leaders that Buhari has failed the north.

But many of them would try to convince me that Buhari is on track.

It's now they're waking up!

It's time to Assemble our own militia to defend Kaduna, kastina and Borno villages.

Kaduna Abuja high way is not safe including some villages in Kaduna south.

Some villages in kastina has been taken over by Bandits who are busy doing their kidnapping businesses.

But non of them give us listening ears and work with us like Elrufai.
