From Dailypost Newspaper

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen.Tukur Buratai, has hinted that insurgency and terrorism may continue in Nigeria for another 20 years.

Buratai made the remark on his verified Facebook handle few days after Boko Haram massacred rice farmers in Borno State.

There is general misunderstanding of what insurgency and terrorism entail. There is likelihood of terrorism persisting in Nigeria for another 20 years. It only depends on the level of escalation and the appropriate responses by all stakeholders both civil and military authorities. Also by both local in international actors. Citizens responsibility is equally important and imperative. All must cooperate to contain the lingering insecurity. Let there be collective action and responsibility.

Buhari has failed the north!!

Buratia has failed his own state and his people!!

But thank God that the people of Borno have woken up to the reality.

The Government only protected their cities and then allow Bokoharam to have a free field in their villages just for politics.

Bokoharam is now a siphon pump to some powerful politicians and top military officers.

They don't want this Bokoharam to completely end... They are cashing out billions of dollars from insurgency both from the international communities and the billions of naira they allocate to the fight against insurgency.

Borno state Governor has decided to stand with his people and defend their lives by fully empowering Civilian JTF... Yan Gora.

I strongly believe in them cos I personally know their capacity!!

God bless Borno youths for defending their villages!!

We are solidly behind yan Gora!!!

It's now a guerilla war to guerilla war!!

The only people that can defeat Bokoharam are the Kanuris themselves.

Thank God they've rise up!!!!

So very undiplomatic, insensitive & stupendous. A whole COS, hopelessly instilling fears in the minds of Nigerians. Must he give reasons to further aligned with the alleged connivance rants? Lots keep wondering why PMB is still convinced to retained these failed Service Chiefs. stupid man.

The confidence in this man's ineptitude is worrisome.

His inability to admit the stunning totality of his failure tells you everything you need to know about a failed Government.

What do we expect when assault to bokoharam is an assault to the north?

Mr buratai is in style saying this so that nigerians will start persuading the govt to release more billions to him as usual but NIGERIANS now knows better.

But it's true. If we have the crop of unpatriotic, incompetent, and thieving leaders we currently have for another 20 years, terrorism may persist for MORE THAN 20 more years.

He's simply stating the obvious.. it all boils down to how fast we can quickly limit their attacks and before you know it, they will fizzle out.

Till today even the US is still dealing with threats of terrorism

Most BMC are actually suffering from bipolar disorder. Watch how they will revert to form in the next article. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Here comes the Chief of Army Staff with his glaring incompetency again. Anyone, who thinks the government wants to stop a venture they are profiting from should have his/her mental health examined.
