I think so many things will happen between now and 2019 but none of them look like Saraki ever going to jail.

Beside was it not this same guy most APC fans were hailing when he defected from the PDP?
What happened to the alliance?
the alliance shouldn't support corruption.

InvestmentStop Patronising ‘wonder Banks’, NDIC Warns Depositors by Artib(op): 8:32am On May 01, 2015
The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation
on Thursday warned depositors against
patronising illegal fund operators, popularly
called ‘wonder banks’.
The corporation said that the wonder banks
offering attractive interest on deposits were
not licensed to operate by the Central Bank
of Nigeria.
The Managing Director, NDIC, Alhaji Umaru
Ibrahim, spoke in Kaduna at the 36th
Kaduna International Trade Fair, stressing
that the corporation would not be
responsible for depositors’ missing funds
traceable to the wonder banks.
Ibrahim said that wonder bank managers
often disappeared after collecting
customers’ money, leaving them in pains.
He urged Nigerians to stay clear of them.
He said the warning became necessary in
view of the report of the continued
operation of the outlawed fund operators in
different forms and styles in various parts
of the country.
He said, “I wish to seize this opportunity to
once again advise members of the public
against patronising illegal fund managers,
also known as ‘wonder banks’ who offer
extra-ordinary interest rates on deposits or
investments only to disappear after
collecting the deposits or investments.
“These illegal operators are not licensed by
the CBN as deposit-taking financial
institutions; and as such, they are not under
the NDIC insurance cover.
“People often approach the corporation to
seek redress after failing victim. For the
avoidance of doubt, the corporation wishes
to make it categorically clear that only
depositors of institutions that are licensed
to collect deposits by the CBN such as
deposit money banks, micro finance banks,
primary mortage banks, and non interest/
Islamic banks are under the NDIC insurance
cover.”
Ibrahim said one of the things contained in
the proposed amendments to the NDIC Act
2006 was building of the corporation’s
general reserve funds to create a robust
deposit insurance fund.

PoliticsN25bn Fraud: Lucky Igbinedion’s Brother To Pay N3m Fine by Artib(op): 8:15am On May 01, 2015
A Federal High Court in Benin, Edo State on
Thursday sentenced a younger brother of
ex-Governor Lucky Igbinedion, Michael, to a
six-year jail term for N25bn money
laundering offences.
An aide of the ex-governor, Patrick
Eboigbodin, was also jailed for 20 years for
the same of offences.
However, the governor’s brother has an
option of paying N3m or N1m for each of
the three counts on which he was found
guilty to avoid going to jail.
Eboigbodin sentencing on Thursday is
without an option of fine.
The two convicts and four companies had
been arraigned by the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission on an 81-
count charge of money laundering during
the tenure of Lucky Igbinedion as governor.
The four companies are Gava Corporation
Limited, Romrig Nigeria Limited, PML
Securities Company Limited and PML
Nigeria Limited.
Justice A.M. Liman found Michael guilty on
counts 79, 80 and 81 of the alleged charges
while Eboigbodin was found guilty on
counts 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58 and
59.
The judge also ordered the forfeiture of the
assets of PML Limited to the Federal
Government. The company will also pay
N250,000 fine.
Liman noted that the prosecution had
proved the alleged collaboration by the
accused beyond reasonable doubts but he
discharged them all on the other count
charges on the grounds that the
prosecution failed to prove the allegations.
The judge further explained that the
prosecution only proved suspicion but
failed to prove illicit origin of funds
deposited in the named banks.
Earlier, the counsel to the first, third,
fourth, fifth and sixth accused persons,
Richard Ahonanuogho, acknowledged that
the 10-count charges brought against his
clients centred on money laundering as
contained in Section 14 (1) of the Money
Laundering Act (2004) and the law provided
a sentence of two to three years
imprisonment.
He, however, urged the court to use its
discretion to award a fine or apply a
suspended sentence as the first accused,
the ex-governor’s brother, was a first
offender, in his late 50’s and had not
benefited from the said offence.
Counsel to the second accused, Abubakar
Shamsudeen, had told the court that his
client, Eboigbodin , had pleaded leniency
based on his age and being a first offender
and a victim of the office he occupied when
the offence was committed.
He, therefore, urged the court to apply an
option of fine, not below N250,000 or
N500,000, and not more than N1m, in lieu
of imprisonment.
But the counsel to the EFCC, Tayo Olukotun,
urged the court not to be persuaded by the
plea for leniency by the accused, arguing
that their conviction would be in line with
the provision of the law and that the call for
suspended sentence was not within the
court’s jurisdiction.
The prosecution also submitted that the
claim of non-criminal benefit by the first
accused was not an issue because the crime
had already been established.

How many ways can you use salt? According to the Salt Institute, about 14,000! The salt website has tons of handy tips for using salt around the house, and the best of the bunch — plus my additions — are listed below.
IN THE KITCHEN
Aside from all of the alchemy that salt performs in terms of baking chemistry and food flavor, salt has a number of other great applications in the kitchen.
Test egg freshness.
Put two teaspoons of salt in a cup of water and place an egg in it — a fresh egg will sink, an older egg will float. Because the air cell in an egg increases as it ages, an older egg is more buoyant. This doesn't mean a floating egg is rotten, just more mature. Crack the egg into a bowl and examine it for any funky odor or appearance — if it's rotten, your nose will tell you. (Bonus fact: if you have hard-boiled eggs that are difficult to peel, that means they are fresh!)
Set poached eggs.
Because salt increases the temperature of boiling water, it helps to set the whites more quickly when eggs are dropped into the water for poaching.
Prevent fruits from browning.
Most of us use lemon or vinegar to stop peeled applesand pears from browning, but you can also drop them in lightly salted water to help them keep their color.
Shell nuts more easily.
Soak pecans and walnuts in salt water for several hours before shelling to make it easier to remove the meat.
Prevent cake icing crystals.
A little salt added to cake icing prevents it from sugaring.
Remove odors from hands.
Oniony-garlicy fingers? I like soap and water, then rubbing them on anything made of stainless steel (it really works), but you can also rub your fingers with a salt and vinegar combo.
Reach high peaks.
Add a tiny pinch of salt when beating egg whites or whipping cream for quicker, higher peaks.
Extend cheese life.
Prevent mold on cheese by wrapping it in a cloth moistened with saltwater before refrigerating.
Save the bottom of your oven.
If a pie or casserole bubbles over in the oven, put a handful of salt on top of the spill. It won't smoke and smell, and it will bake into a crust that makes the baked-on mess much easier to clean when it has cooled.
PERSONAL CARE
Extend toothbrush life.
Soak toothbrushes in salt water before your first use; they'll last longer.
Clean teeth.
Use one part fine salt to two parts baking soda — dip your toothbrush in the mix and brush as usual. You can also use the same mix dissolved in water for orthodontic appliances.
Rinse your mouth.
Mix equal parts salt and baking soda in water for a fresh and deodorizing mouth rinse.
Ease mouth problems.
For cankers, abscesses, and other mouth sores, rinse your mouth with a weak solution of warm saltwater several times a day.
Relieve bee-sting pain.
Ouch? Immediately dampen area and pack on a small pile of salt to reduce pain and swelling.
Clean stained cups.
Mix salt with a dab of dish soap to make a soft scrub for stubborn coffee and tea stains.
Clean refrigerators.
A mix of salt and soda water can be used to wipe out and deodorize the inside of your refrigerator, a nice way to keep chemical-y cleaners away from your food.
