1. If you receive an email or phone call from a company about a job opportunity and it seems too good to be true, then you may have been scammed by a job interview scammer.





2. There are many different types of scams out there; some of which can be very convincing, unfortunately they will also try to trick you into sharing your personal information with them. The first thing to do when receiving a job offer is to clarify the nature of your application with the company contacted. It is always best to contact them directly by phone where possible or email if email correspondence is preferred.


3. Despite what your instincts may tell you, there is no reason to believe that all people who send you an invitation to a job interview are genuine. They can be a company trying to find new employees or get experienced applicants for trials, but there is some problem with their approach: Firstly, do not even dream about processing the invitation.


4. Here's how to know when you're getting scammed: Answer honestly. You can't be hired if any of the questions give you a reason not to answer or ask you to type something into a box on their form that can't prove it's true.


5. If you are not sure the company is the right one for you, you can always decline and wait until you receive a call from the company.
