The whole screen of the samsung tv finally went blank totally and all it shows when I press "source" on the remote is a very small portion of the menu page where I can see "refresh" and "tool" faintly...

An engineer who checked it out in my presence said the flex board is the problem but can't be replaced cos its fixed to the screen thus I have to get another screen... Its really sad

ok,you can take it to a competent technician and they will help you fix it. Don't take it to a road side shop,u can take it to a plaza or market where mostly deal with tvs. I believe it can be done there with ease bt make sure you insist that it either a screen function problem or a flex and ensure you use the exact fee i wrote above to bargain. Happy repairs

yes,the line that expands can be a screen problem,bt let me ask you is the line permanent?some times it can be a down flex or screen function issue. If a screen ish then it wil cost you 25k,screen function may be 5k-10k depending on the model,while the flex is 6k. Thanks

I believe if its screen problem, the lines will be permanent but since the lines only appear later and spreads to about 2inches and the color quality also reduces gradually, I'm made to think its flex or something else...

when ur tv displays foreign stations like dtv, bbc and co it means u can tap into their network and watch free to air stations at no cost. But when the problem of non torch response from the soft touch buttons arises it can be fixed only by a professional technician by cleaning inside the button with fuel as sand or particles might have invaded and blocked transmission of commands. Some tvs are child locked from abroad so they might not be responsive by touch and when connected to antennas they will not display anything till its unlock. so urge you to get an original Samsung remote for ur tv or might google some online Samsung remote application with infrared facilities from playstore as octavo mentioned above to access the settings and unlock child lock feature first. there is a command keys that will be hold on a remote which you can use to access advanced mode to factory reset the tv to default mode. if only you are in lagos you can bring it to my office i might be off help. I tested the Tv with a small samsung remote and I've confirmed I can use a remote to operate it but I'd need to get its exact remote...

A fault I've noticed in the Tv is that after switching it to the normal white screen usually seen when a station isn't showing on a particular frequency, the Tv starts showing some lines which expands with time and the Tv losing color...
I guess this is happening as the Tv heat up...

What could be wrong? Tcon , panel, board or ribbon problem?

How much will it cost to fix this?

(1)Good day brother, the lg with broken screen will be devalued if you plan to sell it, as we can not authenticate how valid and sound the parts in it bears, if am to say, it will be priced at the range of 5k - 8k because that is the landing cost for any 32" led that arrives alaba irrespective of the model or year of production. So, it all depends on you to choose correctly either to fix it at a rate of 15k-20k and sell it off at 40k or you sell the tv set as scrap at 5-8k.
(2)all tvs has a physical button that you can operate on when the remote is currently not available, i guess the Samsung in question has a button portion either under the tv set(as a 360 degree turn around rotor) or a soft touch button at the left or right hand back side of the tv or a physical or soft touch button at the right base of the tv( always before the bezel), some can be located at the head top of the tv set but those are mostly old models . if all search and not a fruitful result pls upload all point on the tv here let me help you locate the button. For the samsung, I found the portion where the functions are drawn and it seems like soft touch but none of the buttons is responding to touch...
When I plug the tv, it powers and shows at the left top corner

Then it moves to another display
"weak of bad signal, connect antenna" which keeps moving up and down on the screen...

What could be wrong? Cos I can't seem to operate it from that screen even after connecting an indoor antenna

Any updates? I'd suggest you buy focusrite Scarlett 8i6 instead of 2i4 if money is not an issue. Reason being that it has about 70db of clean gain on it's inbuilt mic preamp, while 2i4 only has 55db gain. I didn't know about this earlier before buying mine,now an external preamp is a must buy for me before I could use my Shure SM7b mic. That however won't be a problem,if you're sticking with condenser mics and not dynamic or ribbon.
I suggest Rode Nt1,Nt2,or Ntk for condensers if u have the money. Other choices are the AT 2020, 2035,or 4040. You can also consider Yamaha HS8 or HS7 for your monitors. For midi keyboard- Novation impulse,then you could try to look for fiberglass or rockwool as DIY acoustic room treatment. You should be able to get them in your state,or Lagos. Since you are near Lagos. Hope I helped? You should use rug carpet on the floor as a room treatment too.
NB: please let me know if you are able to get fiberglass or rockwool,it's the about the only thing I'm yet to buy in my newly opened music studio too.

32" lg tv with a broken screen which I already told you abt on this thread and a 32 inch samsung EU32C4000 which was just sent to me without remote control ( both are fiarly used)

1. How much can you buy the lg with broken screen cos I can't afford to repair it
2. Can't I operate the samsung without a remote? Whenever I power it, it shows DTV... On the top left corner and then "weak or no signal, connect antenna" or so... I can't seem to find the buttons I can use to operate the tv on its body... Does it mean it can only be controlled with remote?

Having a studio and getting ur business name registered is the first considering factor. master the act of playing piano, piano plays an important role in music production. i will advise you to start learning piano before you venture in with any music production software. originality has to be ur mantra becos alot of production engineers know nothing but mixtures of kpangolo sounds. i have some techie and sophisticated music production softwares which i can give, but the principal thing is learning keyboard first and be proficient at it, then the sky will be your limit.
