My bf and have been dating for almost 5months and we have been living together for over 1 month.. He is a nice guy but his character traits are really getting on my nerves. He is an igbo and i am asian.. He used to be sweet when we started dating(honeymoon stage i guess) but now he has changed.. we are both loyal(i believe). i try my very best to make him happy, try to impress him so he could love me more like the way i do.. i would clean, cook(2-3times a day)i cook nigerian, american, mexican, chinese and other sort of dishes, wash his clothes by hand, go buy the groceries, touch his back before he sleeps(on demand), do the dishes, pick up his clothes on the floor, give him a massage whenever he complains about leg pain after a soccer game and others.. Sometimes he would rather wait for to be home or to wake up so i could prepare food for him.. I really pamper him like a big ass baby.. I would forget about myself to make sure his own food and others are done for him despite the tiredness. I wish to be his wife, i seriously do love him so much.. He is not spontaneous, he is not thoughtful, he careless about how i feel.. I am not asking for too much, i just want to feel appreciated.. Money and sex are not the way to show a woman that you love her.. I expect a nice treatment, maybe a surprise breakfast, flowers, a dinner date, a massage after a long day, a deep conversation.. Just those little romantic stuff you know.. Whenever he sleeps, he would ignore/forget everything around him.. He gets so mad when i disturb him while he is asleep.. sometimes we girls just wanna play.. come on! He takes a nap always.. Last night, when he was going out to see friends, i told him to come home early so we could teach me about the bible but he didnt come home early and not even a message to let me know about it.. And when he came home, he went to bathroom to smoke and he knew im asthmatic but he decided to do so.. I woke up at 2am and cough and couldnt sleep again till now(11am).. And we had a fight.. I always cry and ask myself why.. He says im not an understanding person but how and what should i do again? I just want his time.. sometimes i just want him to be with me till i fall asleep.. I always talk to him about what is happening but he would be quiet and never want to try to find a solution because he feels he has never done anything wrong.. He is so cultural because he keeps on saying "im a man, youre a woman.. In my culture it doesnt happen like this and bla bla bla".. "Our women are submissive, they listen and bla bla bla".. And he always tells me "ever since we started dating, i don't go out with my friends anymore".. He said im a control freak, i get angry easily.. He says "i wont change even though im married, no woman can tell me on what to do".. i get so sick of that.. Its like im the only person that is trying so hard to make it work but why not him.. I let him to go out but don't leave me alone way too long get home with the alcohol smell.. He priorities his chit-chatting with friends more than me. It drives me crazy... Im trying to swallow all the bitterness, yes we fight because i just dont feel its right.. After fighting, he will be okay on the next day but just for less than 24hrs. He says i talk too much.. Thats not the case, i just wanna speak out and tell him how i feel.. But yet he doesnt wanna let me go.. What should i do please..
