I have been keeping my old clothes for a while now. These clothes are all in perfect condition. They were clothes I got abroad while I was a student and some I acquired as a working class.

So some time ago I decided to select a few of them to give to my hairstylist. I called her a day before then and I asked her if she was interested, she sounded kind of cold and said yes. I took them to her the following morning on my way to work. She received it and only said “thank you”. I expected her to at-least message me later after probably going through it (cos some of them were actually brand new with the tags still attached) and showing appreciation, but she never did.
Recently, I wanted to revamp my wigs and decided to take them to her. She wasn’t around at the shop when I got there so I had to wait. To my shock and dismay, I saw she was using one of my treasured dresses as her rag in the shop!! This was a dress that was in perfect condition when I gave it out to her, it was as good as new. That Dress Meant More to Me Than to Her and it dawned on me that value is truly personal

So my wig is due for collection soon. Should I confront her about it or just let it slide. Kindly advise

My late uncle was a diehard fan of Bendel insurance fc and he started taking me to watch their matches at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium when I was still a kid.

I was like 4 to 6 years then when I fell in love with Bendel insurance fc.

My uncle then used to take me to the stadium with him paying for his ticket and me as a toddler was free.
As I became matured ,I was nolonger allowed to watch matches freely and so had to find a way to watch the matches at the stadium.

I didn't have money to watch the matches, so what I did was to make friends with the ball boys in the stadium and these ball boys will hide me inside the places where abandoned things were kept prior to kick off of the match and when the match will start I will now come out to the stadium to watch the matches.

We even scaled the huge fence just to watch the matches and there was a time that as I was just about to scale the fence, the boy that just scaled the fence was caught by a soldier so I had to retreat.

I even went to the away teams hotel then to follow their bus just to watch the match as I followed the team bus of Rangers International of Enugu then coached by the late Christian Chukwu .

Now ,the gates are thrown open free and people don't come to watch the matches of Bendel insurance fc.
Life is really in stages.

A little back story.

Due to some ugly circumstances, i dropped out of school in 2019 and I've been at home since then, periodically picking up one or two low paying jobs. 2 years ago, I decided to learning a tech skill. I taught myself C++ programming language and I'm currently teaching myself mathematics aggressively, studying for min of 8 hours daily.

For the past two years, I've mostly always been in my room, I can be in our house for more than two weeks, without stepping a foot out of our door due to how engrossed in studying I always am. My goal is to learn C++, DSA , And Math to an undergraduate level then use my skills to apply for scholarships to study abroad, and probably work in a hedge fund company as a quantitative trader in the future. For those who know what leetcode is, i can currently solve most leetcode (hard) problems in less than 40 minutes.

Now, I'll be 24 in August, and my dad is worried that I'm wasting my life away because I've refused to pickup any real job or learn a trade, his worried that I'm already getting old, always reminding me that people my age are already getting married. Now he wants me to leave his house to go look for my own place to stay, and has offered me 7 million naira to go start life else where.

Now I plan to move out of Lagos to PH or Akwa Ibom, then use part of the money to start up a computer business center, where I'll be doing typing, printing, lamination, jamb registration, GCE/WAEC registrations, etc. One of the reasons I chose this is because I've worked in a place like this before and I have experience in how to run such a place. Another reason is that, this business would give me time to also study and sharpen my Math/Programming skills. I plan to rent a shop that is big enough so that I can also be sleeping/living there.

Now I seriously need advicing because this is such a turning point in my life and the next few years is going to make or break me because there is no room for any disastrous bad decision

My Advice Is That In All You Intend To Do, Never Ever Seek Admission Into Any Nigerian University. They Will Waste Your Money before You Even get To Final Year And You Wil Not Achieve Anything There. You Can Sharpen Your Skills Excellently Well With Boot Camps And Other Specialized Courses Online Or From Any Tech Firm At A Token Or Even Free.

You will.finish that money in no time. i have done photocopy and computer biz before its not as rosy as it seems.

Why not

1. Apply for computer science in the University and use part of the money to register at Niit or any good computer school to learn programming. 3million will be enough to do that and fix the remaining 4million in a bank to be getting small thing every year that can pay your house rent and little expenses.

2. Tell your dad, if he can add to it and sponsor you to apply to a school in canada or UK. Pay part school fees and you will take care of the rest when you get there.

No 1 is a very very wrong advice. Nigerian Universities computer science is a waste of time. Road side WASSCE holders business centre attendants are far better than Nigerian Universities Computer Science graduates.
