pacretus: Do you know why you are stupid? First, you claimed to be a Nigerian, you went as far as mentioning the village were from. Then you became a Kenyan And now, you chose Botswana. ain't you the lowest of the human rate, why would you hide your identity just to prove a dead point.
Again you claimed to have spent time in Nigeria and got tons of pictures to share, when in reality you only downloaded a video and got some pictures from them.
Worst more everyday you keep bringing up street news all over Nigeria when I can post worst stories from the US.
You are playing a kids game. Nigerians are way bigger than you, I for one hated arguments because if you bring up Singapore against US or Japan, Singapore will stand out coz they've got wonderful statistics ranging from busiest airports to booming economy but we all know which country really owns the game.
Enough with your posts, they are so childish.bring up educative comparison and we will feel the hear not tantrums. Damn RIP SUFFERInSMILIIN!

ugo4u: My brother no matter how we want to look at we the sad truth is that they're ahead of us since 1989 South Africa's military spendings has being on steady decline yet they're current defence budget is about $3bn, we haven't spend such amount of money in a year at any point in our history, how do we even measure up? Once read a report on channelstv that for us to be at par with South Africa in terms of infrastructure, we need to be spending about $10bn yearly on infrastructure for the next 20yrs, it is that embarrassing. Nahhhh numbered days.... |

ugo4u: It's easy to say "Shoot" if I may ask, what platforms has Nigeria got to carryout such mission? are the so called European families (Boers)not South-africans? or will the SAn armed forces fold their arms and watch you raid their country? We should be realistic, and tell ourselves the truth, the Nigerian government needs to do more in terms of funding the military, we don't even come close to SA with respect to military spendings, even during the Nigerian civil war both warring sides hired SAn mercenaries because of their experience. Nahhhh Nigeria is "currently" punching below its potential unfortunately but the whole South Africa statement is fantastical exaggerated nonsense. |

bxboss: Have you seen the official stats of the trade volume btw both countries? I laugh when you all just make sweeping statements about Nigeria being the most powerful in Africa. maybe you all wanna sound patriotic, but the evidences abound, even militarily Nigeria won't stand SA, talk more of Algeria or Egypt. Before we even begin what is the numerical strength of the armed forces again? and what's our budget/spendings for defence in the last 20yrs? No doubt Nigeria has potential to be the best but how can you achieve that without investing on your military? mind you SA has nuclear technology o . We go dey alright las las. Egypt and Algeria are out of the question yes, but South Africa is overrated. It has no "astronomical" economic advantage over Nigeria. At what little it has is set to plummet in the coming years. Shoot over 80% of the "wealth" and industry there is in the hands of 6000 European families(less than %9 of the population) who have there own interest and trade more with there western relative countries. |

jpphilips: Weak brains call names on faceless fora, you will understand the economic advantage South Africa has over Nigeria when you grow up. South Africa has no "astronomical" economic advantage over Nigeria currently, and the little it has now is set to plummet in the future as the years go by. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by AskiaHarem(m): 5:39pm On Sep 22, 2019 |
Covert1: Back to which military? Ok let's cut to the chase. You think I derive fun to go against the grain on this thread, no I don't and actually don't even have the time but when I do I now opine for the sake of the brave men and women in uniform fighting a dirty war blind with hands and nails. We have lost very fine men. Do you know even know the extent of the discontent in that military we come here to post and watch pictures of, dunno if you got clue because of course the military is hierarchical and everyone is hiding behind there shadow. Young officers want to be promoted. Senior officers are busy scheming for command level postings, juicy appointments and promotions but no one is really happy. The bulk of money meant for operations are going missing. Have you even asked what really happened to the billion dollars for arms under Buhari. They bought some ammunition with what they brought that was promptly stolen by ISWAP/BHT terrorists. I didn't say weapons I mean just ammunitions that couldn't even sustain combat for six months. We are currently back again to the drawing board. You want to see ISWAP on the move, even combatant soldiers know better to use every skill in the book and training to slow them down cos those guys are well kitted using very good drones for reconnaissance, TDs and NVGs and very good marksmanship that's quite a game changer. ISWAP can now pick targets just like the average Nigerian soldier so its basically like going toe to toe and a good soldier knows to have an advantage better equipment is needed - superiority is always coveted by the military in any likely engagement so you don't send crack troops to their early deaths. Really don't have the stomach anymore for the rubbish going on and I have more than once traced it back to where the problem is coming from and that's from the commander-in-chief who has deliberately entrenched cronyism leading to malaise. How can you have one CDS and COAS that hasn't managed to change the dynamic of a war in five years and expect a better outcome. The longer they stay they themselves encourage patronage against better judgment by field commanders and junior officers. It's a case of ineptitude and incompetence. And that's the worst sickness any standing army can face. Buhari is our problem. Some of us have already abandoned ship or are in the process of doing so. All they do is look for victims to crucify to satisfy their bloated egos.
And then we come here and have f.ools who have never even fired a rifle want to tell us what they know nothing about just because they have a phone. Things are so bad that the Americans got it wrong the first time about 2015 because no one bothers to invade a huge country like Nigeria knowing it just drags you into a war you can't win so they leave it to good old history which has always proven true that powerful states self-implode by it's own internal powerful forces fed up with its arrangement. A true patriot will stand up for the right things to be done. I rest my case. I appreciate the sequel but it's run its course. Time to end this series and get back to military.
