EducationNigeria And Her Dead Educational System! by asorock01(op): 9:13am On May 12, 2017
If 2y(5x-7y) -6y X +6 = 45 find x.
Yesterday i was in the sitting room watching a program called China24 on CCTV NEWS, an electric lamp manufacturer was interviewed together with his workers in his factory. The workers are kids between the ages of 12-18 years. The most beautiful part of it is that the kids can on their own manufacture those lamps

*Now let's come down to Nigeria.*

Nigerian students are busy searching for "x" while students in the developed countries are manufacturing things for the development of their country.
In Nigeria, our engineering students spend nearly all their time solving difficult equations and searching for "x".

In Nigeria, students will be asked to search for "x" I do smile and ask myself how can we use Algebra and simultaneous equation to boost the economy.
How can we use the located "x" to solve the challenges facing us?
In Nigeria, a teacher will draw a circle having dots in it on the chalk board and tell the kids "this is an Orange", imagine.

In Nigeria, a teacher will be in the class room using acid to change litmus paper to purple on the chalk board. In fact, in Nigeria the best place to mix acid with base is on chalk board.

In Nigeria, a teacher will be in the class teaching rock and it types and expect the students to be able to identify them in real sense how possible?
However, the above are some of the reasons why at 50+ as an oil producing country we are still importing toothpick and matches. Our brain has been channel to the fact that failure to go to school will end one up as a domestic servant of the educated ones which I seriously disagree with. We can't all be in the class room at the same time and expect us to catch up with the developed countries, it never done; we will keep depending on them with such barbaric idea.

Let those that are willing to go into sport be on the field or track not in class room, Christiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid FC was expelled from school at the age of 14 and today he is a world footballer.
Let us take those that are good in construction to factories or workshops not class room. Let's take away pen from our engineering students and send them out of class.
Let's take away pen from those that are willing to take hoe, cutlass, hammer, saw, screw driver etc.
Our too much dependent on pen is sending us backward.

Someone will think I am condemning education, but Mr, I am a graduat from one of the prestigious university in the Country. My message is just that too much of everything will cause nothing but a deterrent. Education is not gotten from only the classroom, it could be gotten from somewhere else.

Where are the Technical Schools?
Where is the Training Colleges? The Government should bring back these schools and relief us of the Classroom brouhaha.

To me, spending 5, 6 or more years in tertiary institution is
nothing but a total waste of time, 3 years is enough for engineering courses.

12 Calender month is enough for food related courses and 3 or 4 years is enough to be a lawyer. Imagine our youth spending 8years of their lives in university and still our Government don't trust on their expertise rather they travel out of the country..

Lastly our government should stop sending the talented ones away by sending them abroad for training and failed to establish/provide where they will be discharging what they've learnt or the skills they've acquired upon their arrival.

At this juncture, I will like to call on the government at all levels to look into this and find a lasting solution to it.

If we can do this, I believe that few years to come Nigeria will be one of the great countries in the world
EducationIs Password On Our Phone A Death Trap? Urgent Please Read. by asorock01(op): 8:25pm On May 10, 2017
DOES IT MAKE SENSE?

Today, technology and modernization has made it in such a way that every one want his/her privacy. The word "trust" is even questionable and no more trusted by people. There is password on almost everything from phone to everything we can, just to protect our information and keep our privacy. But what sense does it make when keeping a password on our phone send us or another to the grave instead of saving life? What then are we "securing"?.

Three friends had an accident in a car and became unconscious. A stranger got to the scene and wanted to call for help. He had no phone. There were six mobile phones in the accident car but all had password on them. They all died as a result.

A pregnant lady collapsed at home with her little daughter(a minor). The little girl had no idea of what was happening but saw her mother gasping for air. She picked her mother's phone to call her daddy but there was a password on the phone. By grace, her big brother left his phone on his bed while going to school and she called the father and her mother was saved because her brother had no password on his phone else the pregnant woman would have lost her life. Whose fault would that have been?

An armed men came to rob a family. The second child happen to be in a little room which the armed men thought it was a store room and never entered. He had no phone but his sister's phone was on charge in his room. He tried to call for help but there was password on his sister's phone. They raped and killed them leaving only the little one. He saw everything through the key hole. Police station and military barracks were closer. He knew numbers he could call for help but "password" was on the sister's phone.

A young man died with so much wealth in an unknown bank. The information was on his phone. No one could access the information because there is password on the phone.

My advice is this. You are too precious than the information you are securing on your phone. Only put password on your whatsapp, text messages, facebook, files, etc and leave the call side free. You may one day save your life or the life of your loved ones. The password on your phone can be your death warrant. Think twice.

I was amazed when I saw the approved transport allowance on my payment collection card for just concluded immunisation program. But in reality the ward supervisor don't pay the transport allowances as it should be rather they give the participants #100 while other days they don't give anything at all. yet at the end of the program they sign that they pay #900 per day was paid to workers. pls help forward this till it get to the those in authority so that appropriate action can be taken.
