Mobil oil is good but the only problem now is the price, can you imagine Mobil 1000 XHP that was sold for 9500 is now 14,500. Mobil 5w- 40 that i bought 14,500 last year November is 27,500 now.

I have been using Mobil 5W-30 for my Mercedes W211, however as a result of increase in price of Mobil oil I want to change to Total engine oil, which is more cheaper. when went to filling station to buy the oil I don't understand grading of Total oil as the grade is not so to clear unlike Mobil oil that the grade is clearly written on the galloon, for those using Total oil, please what is the equivalent of Mobil 5W-30 in total Oil. and also will their be any negative impact on my engine if I change oil brand from Mobil to Total. I am not making case for car dealers but I have a question for some of us questioning why they can't bring g down car price . Let's assume they got there cars when dollar was 1800naira and those cars are parked in there car stand waiting for buyer.....are you now saying they should reduce car price a that they can sell at a loss? Put yourself in there shoes ...people should sell according to how they buy...I don't expect them.to sellll at a loss .. they are not responsible for your unstable economy

NNPC is the cheapest here in Abuja, some station even sell 680-700 in Abuja. I drive 211 I only drive from office to back home every day, I leave in outskirts of Abuja and if I want to buy on weekly bases 12 - 15 thousand weekly is ok for me. I think the fuel consumption is even far better than other brand of cars.

What I normally do is that by end of month I will go to NNPC mega station in Abuja, 45 k @ 617, I will fill my tank to the brim, that will take me for almost 3 weeks plus. One of the secret I discovered is that once I do full thank the fuel doesn't born very fast unlike when I by in piece meal.
