The Media has been pushing the agenda of this so called rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo when the facts reveals there was never any rivalry. Messi surpassed Ronaldo is most stats imaginable. Let's compare.

Goalscoring stats:
This is the only stats Ronaldo is closed to Messi and Messi still surpassed him even though Ronaldo is almost 3 years older

Messi has six golden boot
Ronaldo had 4(sharing one with Suarez)

Dribble:
Messi is the greatest dribbling player ever, no one comes close, Ronaldo has forgot how to dribble since he left Manchester United.

Playmaking:

Many people don't know there are award for playmakers just like there are for goal scorers. Ronaldo has never won one

The only stats Ronaldo is greater than Messi on is heading which is due to his height.

How can there be rivalry when Messi has more balloon d'or, FIFA best player, golden boots, playmakers award, trophies etc while been 3 years younger?

Don't forget how the media always love to hide Messi international achievement.

According to FIFA, world cup and Olympic are the only major international tournament others are Continental.

Guess what, Messi has Olympic gold medal and best player, won under 20 world cup while been the best player, won FIFA world cup best player and even has 2x Copa America best player.

Ronaldo has none which means he's useless internationally and stats pad against Weak teams.

There is no rivalry

I've been on quora for some years now and git curious and asked why some African countries don't like Nigeria.

Just go and search it, these people know who igbos are because of their greed and obsession for money they even in drugs. South Africa , Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and many more African countries don't want Nigerians in their country just because of the igbos , they have killed our reputation.

The north own is the worst with child marriage, herdsmen, religion extremism,boko Haram, poverty and much more.

Imagine a Nigeria without these two regions? We'll be more respected and our problems will be solved.

Ironically these are the two regions that has the lowest resources that they contribute

This is where stats can be misleading at times. Messi isn't above criticism. If you watch him in the past few games this year you will understand fully what I'm talking about.

His freekick taking, finishing, dribbling, pace, press-resistance all seem to have to declined. Maybe it's just me sha. 2 seasons ago messi alone would have been enough to win that match.
