Hello nairalanders, I got a Nigerian used 2002 rav4 and it had the so called brain box problem, eventually the brain box got stolen, I can't identify the ecu number, I only have my car VIN, please I need help on which brain box number to get. Also, how can I ensure the brain I get box will not have the general second generation problem? Thanks.

Hello Nairalanders, I have a problem with my murano. The car starts and revs fine but won't throttle even when you pedal all the way down. The code suggests it is either the injector head or pedal position sensor. I was asked to reprogram first to see if it will correct the problem but the programmer said he couldn't communicate with the ECU after trying with three different equipments and then concluded that the brainbox is dead and will need to be changed. My dilemma is if it is the brainbox, how come it's starting very well and running except that you can't throttle the car. Any ideas, suggestions or solutions is welcomed. Thanks.

I deal on brainbox (Ecu ).. it could be brainbox or wouldn't but I suggest u get a good nissan electrician... we have too many fake electricians here in Nigeria that have no Idea about nissan. . Or u can text me on whatsapp for a recommendation
