The prices of different brands of cement have increased astronomically leaving builders and home owners complaining seriously about the high cost. This has already triggered a ripple effect in the open market, with prices going up by about 44 percent in few days. Investigations revealed that operators under the Cement Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (CMAN) have raised prices of brands by N600 per bag in factories, including additional N100 cost for haulage. This has increased retail prices from N1,600 to N2,300 depending on location. In some areas, prices have shot up to N21,350 or higher.Members of the CMAN include Dangote Cement Plc, which is emerging as a market leader and has factories in Gboko, Benue State; Obajana, Kogi State; and Ibeshe, Ogun State. Other are: Lafarge Cement WAPCO Plc; Cement Company of Northern Nigeria Plc; Ashakacem Plc and Cross-River based United Cement Company. Vice President, Nigerian Institute of Building, Kunle Awobodu, said: “This is going to create crisis in the construction sector and bad blood between clients and contractors, as developers will make claims for fluctuations. “Invariably, it will lead to upward reviews of contract sums. New and on-going projects will be delayed until there is agreement on the contract variations. It can also expedite construction activities because of the anticipation of further increase.” According to an official in one of the cement manufacturing companies, the hike is not unconnected to difficult operating environment. lalasticlala http://evilla.com.ng/en/nigeria-real-estate-property-blog/11-cement-price-hits-roof-top.html |
A real estate agent is someone who helps people to either buy or sell a home or a piece of property. This may range from humble plots of land and small starter homes to exotic islands and luxury mansions. One can work either as a listing agent, to help a client sell a home, or as a buyer's agent, to help the client buy a home. Real estate agents are employed worldwide as the need for buying and selling homes and property has always existed and will continue to do so. It is a good business if you are honest and loyal to your client. WHAT DOES A REAL ESTATE AGENT DO? Real estate agents are knowledgeable about their local laws on the buying and selling of property. The geographical area that an agent works in is their area of expertise. They know trends within the local property market as well as what competitive prices are for the various properties their clients want to buy or sell. A real estate agent acts as the middleman, or broker, between two parties seeking to buy or sell a property. Real estate agents have the skill and expertise to either market the property and sell for the best possible price and conditions, or to look for property that suits a client's needs and buy it at the best price possible with the most favourable terms. Negotiation is a key part of the real estate agent's work, as they act as the intermediary between buyer and seller and will often negotiate on their client's behalf. Real estate agents will charge a percentage of the final sale price as their fee. WHAT IS THE WORKPLACE OF A REAL ESTATE AGENT LIKE? A real estate agent's workplace is as varied as the property they buy and sell and the clients they deal with. While some time is spent in an office environment, a lot of the real estate agent's working life involves travel and irregular hours. The agent will need to visit properties as well as attend meetings with prospective and current clients. This may take place during the day, in the evenings as well as weekends to meet client needs. The real estate agent also attends industry conferences and seminars to stay up to date with current trends as well as keep up their contacts and professional network. They must also keep up with all the available properties in the area, therefore going to agent open houses every week is essential in order to keep as current as possible. I believe this will give us information and roles of a real estate agent http://evilla.com.ng/en/nigeria-real-estate-property-blog/10-who-is-a-real-estate-agent.html |

GOOD DAY GUYS I would like to tell you guys about two wonderful people I meet yesterday, their names are Mr Jimoh Ogunlayi and Mrs Bridget ogunlayi, and they are both blind but happy couples. They got married in 2014 and very productive even in their state they make a lot of nice things with beads like Bags, Lamp Holder, Flower vase, Flower pot, fruit basket etc Mr Jimoh Ogunlayi is a graduate of SPED Oyo with a degree in visual Impaired/social studies; he lost his sight in 1993 due to an accident. interestingly he was the one that fixed the wiring and bulbs to the lamp holders by himself Mrs Bridget Ogunlayi is a graduate of computer science from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, she lost her sight in 2008 due to a drug reaction. They learnt how to make all this from the Nigerian Farm Craft Center for the Blind Isheri Olofin Powerline Lagos. This is some of their works; you can actually buy or learn from them. They make liquid soup, Air fresheners.
