My brother, thank you for your concern. I am appreciative. I am good. I have been a little bit away/inactive for three reasons:

1 just set up an electronics shop at onitsha international market and trying to put things together.

2 Just withdraw a little to read, read and read to upgrade my knowledge

3 Just got married yesterday and now in my honeymoon grin and na Oando do this one grin

I am grateful to Oando PLC and others for fast tracking things for me. grin

Going forward, na still trading 75% and investing for long term 25%.

We are still on course with our 1million to 1 billion naira ten years challenge and it is doable grin

Thanks and regards

Remarkable submission. Happy birthday to you. Long life and prosperity in good health and happiness by God's Grace .
Cheers.
Streetinvestor2:
All I know is we are having stock boom next yr.The dollars coming from Nigerians abroad will continue to increase. Nigeria will have more trade surplus. I have plenty friends in onitsha who have stopped importation because of rise in exchange rate. Some are already export one thing or the other. Many are planning and looking for what to export. The Chinese companies are relocating thr factories to naija in most buildings material I know. Why the cost of the little food we are cultivating because of insecurity is not coming down is because of increase in its export to earn
dollars. More containers are leaving with goods than the number bringing in things. Nigerians are now buying made in nigeria provision, drugs and cosmetics than foreign. The economic situation is making every one to recalibrate just like the companies are going to do.The high exchange rate is equally a blessing in disguise. It is like looking at 6 from top/bottom angle. Some how I am beginning to like it because it is going to help in our production level because everyone one is now thinking of what can I export to earn in dollars.
I live on the street and it is what I am seeing I am. talking even my wife want to export garri next yr against her import from UK all these yrs
Next yr will equally be yr for massive agriculture for many because of hunger this yr.
Let God preserve our lives going forward as i Mark my BDay today..amen

My meditation some days back too.
You're not alone!
designking:
I started buying Nigeria stocks after I discover this thread.

I have learnt a lot from the good, the bad and the ugly. I take every side of discuss very seriously here.

One thing I have personally realised is that to make good money on the NGX, one need to invest at least a million naira per stock on your portfolio. Some stock movement might not happen again in a lifetime.... When these big moves happens, it ought to set you up financially but if you invest little, the share price fantastic movement will only give you peanut.

I was reviewing my portfolio this morning, I realised that my Ellah Lake shares have done almost 100% ROI but Na just one bag of rice I can buy with that fantastic movement. I used only about 2% of my portfolio to purchase the Ellahlake.

I don't want to make that same mistake with Access Bank.

You need to catch up with the reality. You dont have an idea how the diasporan's are impacting Nigeria economy positively. The japa effect is on full gear and its rewards is dripping in gradually. This new crop of Nigerians came prepared. Real estates, banks, fmcg, transports,TB,funds with institutional investors etc. Infact the current uncertainty in immigration is making every diasporan apprehensive and making them make wise decisions. No more unnecessary frivolities.
Diasporan remittances is not a joke because the way people are working their ass out is on an unprecedented level. So it's beyond "survival money" okay. Stop playing!
phadriz:
Diaspora remittance? 😂

Okay sir

Good content. Kudos.

Miss Perpetual Ogbiyoyo (2 time Nigerian female chess champion & founder, Promoting Queens Chess Foundation) graces the podcast in this episode as we discuss investing lessons to be gleaned from chess.

We discuss how she got started in chess, how she went from being a learner to a 2-time national chess champion, how she performs a post-match analysis to learn from her games retrospectively, how she makes decisions on the chess board and how she learns from her mistakes.

Retail investors might be surprised to see how much parallels exist between investing and chess. There is a lot to learn from this episode of the podcast.

Thanks for listening.

Very valid point and submission you have there pal. Kudos
GeeKudi:
My story:

I entered the stock market in June this year when I saw the news of Otedola buying large shares of FirstBank. If I remember very correctly, he bought at 21.9 each. I had some decent cash with me at the time. I signed up with Bamboo and pumped my cash into FirstBank. The day I bought the shares, Bamboo displayed the same 21.9 at the share price. So, i tbought I was buying at that price, only for me to discover that Bamboo went to the market to pick the shares at the highest offer available, 23.9. The game was screwed against me right from the onset.

I was new and naive. I stayed glue to my screen day and night, hoping to see that the price had at least matched my cost price. It wasn't going to happen. Rather, panic continued to run through my veins as I watched the price slide further to, I think, 19 ish. Fortunately for me, at this point, I had started studying verociously about the stock market and how it works. I was fairly equiped with how to monitor stocks and identify potentially good ones.

I had CONOIL, MTN, JBerger. OANDO and some others on my watchlist. I bought some quantities of these at fairly good prices. I think my first buy of OANDO was less than N10. As weeks passed, OANDO continued to rise and it got to N15 or thereabout and i also spotted my Otedola at N21ish. It was at this point the delisting court case of OANDO got cleared. I sold off, AT A LOSS, half of my Otedola shares and bought more JB and OANDO.

When the news of the ENI deal was getting concrete, I sold the remaing firstbank shares, ALSO AT A LOSS and pumped the money into OANDO.

I am telling this story to butress your point about traders selling at a loss to exchange a holding for a potentially more profitable entity. I have made more than double of the money I first invested in FirstBank because I was able to count my teeth with my tongue and take that temporary loss.

When people call it jijo or mh here and somehow deride people for making such moves because, according to them, they are strictly INVESTORS, I see it as self righteousness. As long as what you call jijo or mh is not criminal, what right have you to chastise people for it?

People have different reasons for their investment decisions. It is their money and we don't all have the same level of experience and expertise in this thing. We must accord everyone the chance to grow and come of age.

Wrong,

0------10 million they charge #300 flat. It's just an observation after I received a mail from them,so I decided to try it out and it was confirmed. I'm just curious as to why MBA clients are charged differently . This calls for discuss as the company is canvassing for online route now.

Like I said earlier, my statement was borne out of observation period!

100trillionusd:
flutterwave charge a certain percentage(1.5%) on the amount you're paying and it's capped at 2k.

you paid 300 naira on luno because you deposited probably 2000. 1.5% of 2000 = 300
Your above statement that I deposited #2000 just made me to laugh . You folks just make statement ignorantly. If you need evidence I can supply you.

Wisdom must be very expensive even when it's well spelt out in your name. Your critical reasoning is warped and perhaps you are suffering from cerebral palsy. Come what's with folks these days with momentum to chase clouts? I'm not in your league. I top my rank okay. I only brought out something I noticed and there you came for me with that stu-pid response.. Flutterwave Is charging clients of their customer differently for the same service and all you and your insecure co- swine can come up with is I'm trying hard to pull MBA forex down? How?

If you must know common sense is not common. Ardent sycophants rosyisblessed ogawisdom I'm a full blown MBA investor and I top my rank. The records are there for proofs. . Progressive and not a clout chaser like you Lilly livered membranes.

ogawisdom:
Did you also notice that online was your choice and never forced on you?
Just look at the effrontery of a buffon to spew the above thrash. You think my statement was a complaint because you're already biased. A guy like me will complain on a meagre 2k while receiving ROI in six figures? It's a pity. Honestly it is.

You mean the money was wired to your account directly via flutterwave or you initiated withdrawal after your dashboard was credited with your ROI? Congratulations, enjoy your returns okay

Wow wow wow, small boy like me got paid from mba. Only thing is, I can't find mba name on it, but it was through the medium I deposited, flutter wave. Either way, first return enter,

God will help us through this journey, however there is room for effective and prompt communication between the company and investors. In fact adequate training for the staffs is crucial to the survival of this scheme. The avalanche of complaints on Facebook and Instagram is overwhelming.

MBA is for the patient but consistent, bold and brave ones. If you don't have these qualities please keep off.

If you are impatient don't invest. If you are faint hearted don't invest. If you easily panick because of what people say, don't invest.

If Dangote was faint hearted, he would not have reached giant strides as he is today.

Allow us enjoy MBA in peace.

I'm speaking from experience. Corporate mail should have autoresponder as means of acknowledgement pending when real response comes but till date, nothing like that here. Their unprofessional clerk\secretary need to sit up and respond promptly to mail enquiries. The new campaign is the ONLINE route hence the need for utmost seriousness. Mind you I still have a pending enquiry that has not been attended to over 2weeks now.

I'm an online athlete! Top on my rank!

RosyIsBlessed:
Why will you spam their mail?

If you have genuine complain (note: as online investor) send them mail and give them time to reply. If they don't, you send again. Any how careless mail you send them they will not reply o, note that, because Nigerians too do. It must be GENUINE complain or request from online investors only, else you'll be on your own.
