What has the government done with the high oil prices over the past 5 years? Increased fuel price to 97 naira from 65 naira and our annual subsidy bill is over a trillion naira. A trillion naira is spent on defence annually and Boko Haram is gaining more territory. Even if the opposition is sponsoring Boko Haram are they stronger and better funded than the hundreds of thousands of military personnel we have? In 2010, we had the independence day bombing. Subsequently, we have had bombings in Abuja including a UN building and till date zero convictions. How come we are a nation that celebrates mediocrity? We apportion blame on people with no authority to change the situation. This was the same thing during the 2011 election violence - Buhari was called out for speaking two days after the incidence while the President and Commander of the armed forces did not deem it fit to immediately address the violence. It is a sad situation we find our country. I do not blame Jonathan or PDP. I blame Nigerians who do not know what is best for them. They would rather whip up religious and ethnic sentiments to drive the celebration of mediocrity.

Is the CBN not wasting what is left of OBJ foriegn reserve to defend the worthless naira?
Is the government is gradually running out of money especially if oil prices continue falling?
