Thank you for this. There is no basis for comparison between both of them. IU got hate from the minute her casting was announced, and that's because netz hate her. I wish they stopped dragging her scandal into everything. It's unfair.

She had a scandal, so what?! Should she now let the scandal define the rest of her life? Peeps should move on and leave her alone jare. Fine, she's not the best of actresses, but she's still watch-able.

I hear 'sageuk prodigy ' often and I wonder. The point is not about experience in sageuk, it is about being good at acting. There is nothing remarkable /distinct about IU's acting now. She really needs lessons if she wants acknowledgement worldwide. Else, music is just OK and where she shines.

The whole 'sageuk prodigy' thing is because she really does shine there. I'm not saying she's not good in anything else. But I'm giving her that because, that's kinda a tough genre to act. Not everybody is good in Sageuk.
For example, Ji Soo is a good actor, but I think he's off in Moon lovers. Lim Ji Yeon wasn't her best in Jackpot, but I liked her cameo in Doctors.



Anyway, that's beside the point. I wasn't expecting IU to give me an Oscar winning performance, so I'm satisfied with what she's doing now. Though as you pointed out, it would be good if she got lessons.

I'm enjoying Moon Lovers too much to let her acting skills or lack of it stop me from watching.

Honestly IU is suited for music. I really don't get why most musicians nowadays think they must delve into acting too. Your talent is what you should do.

IU isn't the best idol-actor there is, but is she really that bad?? Maybe it's just me, but I don't really notice 'bad' acting. Like how netz say Jin Seyon, Ku Hye Sun etc are bad, and I can't see anything bad about them.



And Kim Yoo Jung is Kim Yoo Jung. She's on her own level. Sageuk prodigy.

IU isn't Ha Ji Won or Moon Chae Won level, but she's okay IMO. Why are netz making it look like it's her fault Scarlet Heart is flopping?

I'm watching both Moons. Moon Lovers and Moonlight.

I watched the first eps of scarlet Heart, and I liked it. Even though I'm Moonlight biased, I still want the ratings of SH to increase. It has to, for Lee Jun Ki's sake.

Jealousy is definitely not flopping. It is yet to get double digits, but it had higher ratings than UF for it's 2nd eps!

I doubt gongshim had higher ratings than Doctors. I'm almost sure it never got to 20%

I wanted Moonlight to lead the ratings, but I never saw this coming. The rating increase is the highest I've seen this year, apart from DOTS!

Scarlet might still gain momentum later on sha, otherwise it'll end up like UF which is just sad.

i checked out moonlight and liked what I saw,will check out more eps for sure.PBG is too cute for words and has the best smile ever.The lead gal is such a cutie and very funny.Her age doesn't bother me unlike other young actresses.
Uhmm...am I the only one who thinks that king is handsome?Anyway,not crushing on him,lol(he's an ahjussi.)He must have been a handsome guy in his youth.

I'm not a Jun Ki fan, but I have to admit the guy is beautiful. I'm going to watch his drama. At least for the hype and eye candy.

I agree with people that said the bodyguard is the gold digger's son.The look they exchanged made me think so...and d bodyguard gives her a look of contempt,which means he knows what she's planning and hates it.
There are secrets to be uncovered,including the causes of deaths of d fathers..even though two were ruled as an accident and d other..suicide. I think there's more to them than meets the eye.
I know I may sound harsh,but I hate seeing that second female lead face.She is so annoying plus d actress playing her is one horrible actress.
The stepsister and stepmom are annoying too and behave like immature kids.

The cheesiness is part of the fun. Lol. I liked the whole graduation thing when all the knights appeared to save her.

Uri 4th Knight and that step mother are related. It's obvious.

The 2nd lead is annoying! Na by force? She makes it seem like it is her right for Hyun Min to like her. Very dour faced, annoying somebody.

So you too watch Immortal Songs2? ALi is the Madam of that show. She has the most wins, and she still has the highest score ever on the show. I haven't watched it for like 2 months now sha. Thanks to the show, I discovered singers like ALi, Ailee, Bada, Son Sungyeon, Hwang Chiyeol and Kim Feel (my current musical crush.)

Yes they do. All their shows are subbed but it comes late.
E.g, If a drama airs today, they will show the subbed version in a week. I dunno why KBSworld does that. Even the YouTube channel is the same thing.

They've changed o. Their weekday dramas (Moonlight, UF) are aired 24hours after broadcast in Korea, and they don't upload them on their youtube channel.
