omg lol I remember reading about that...

even I felt like having some chicken takeaway and some beer whenever I was watching them...lmao we fans sef...

One thing that makes me laugh though, is in the historical/period dramas where someone will be playing those their strings instruments...the music always sounds funny but people will look like they are enjoying it grin grin like in Dong Yi, Hwang jin yi and even Empress Ki when the koryeo king was playing the instrument. gahh I always laugh cos I don't really get it.
God bless you. That Gayageum music sounds very boring to me, maybe because I'm not used to it.

Another thing that happens in saeguks is the torture scene, where they are wearing their white clothes -soaked in blood by the way- and tied to a chair with a RED rope. Their legs are tied, and their laps are almost forced apart with heavy wooden sticks. grin grin

Super creepy, lol. Obsession is really bad, some fans sef. i can like an actor without obsessing over him, buying and drinking coffee cos of my fav actor? smh, as if na God, mtcheww.

That's why they start taking it personal if their idol goofs up lol.

LOL just like what I heard happened during the time Pinocchio was originally airing...where Park Shin Ye wore a particular wristband/watch and everyone in Asia was out looking for that watch. The company said it really boosted their sales grin grin
Or during the time You from the stars was airing, and everybody's fav snack was Chi-maeg (Chicken and beer(maegju), just like Cheon Song Yi.

It's all good sha. grin

I think that's so over the top crazy lol

But then...I guess that's why they use these kpop and kdrama stars to sell their fashion labels, perfumes, sportswear, smartphones etc. Once you see LMH using that phone, no matter how big and clumsy it is, you will see them rushing to buy that same phone grin grin
It sometimes goes beyond material things. Even when their fav idol puts a pic on SNS or paparazzi shots with something like a coffee, they all start buying and drinking that same coffee. It's really crazy in a creepy way.

So, I'm reading that Korean youngsters have started copying LMH and suzy's paparazzi style for their dates. Dark sweater for the boys and big skirts for the girls complete with the face masks.
Now, all that face mask stuff was to hide from the paparazzi, but I think it's ridiculous for those fans to copy that.
What do you guys think?

Wedding Bells to Ring Soon for Lee Min Ho and Suzy Bae?

Days after South Korean actor-singer Lee Min Ho confirmed that he is dating Suzy Bae, the 20-year-old member of Korean-Chinese K-pop girl group 'Miss A', fans are now expecting to hear wedding bells to ring soon for the couple.
It's too soon to hear the wedding bells ringing.

Change is good.

Meawhile,he should scrap the useless doctrine of not allowing his members to have television sets. I can't stand my neighbour's kids coming to my house almost everyday to watch cartoon and their parents to come watch news just because kumuyi banned them from owning television sets.
He didn't really ban television sets, just cautions people to be careful of what they watch on TV.

well i think u guys are overating the drama,it was ok but not like the
way u guys are overating it,jcw action scene is not to my liking,he's
good as park bong soon but not as healer,if LMH or even ha ji won should
act the healer part den it would av been better..... the love scene?which
love scene, didn't u see lee yoon sung and kim nana's love ,i like
dat..too much love spoils the show cos it's actually based on action....
when we talking of faults if city hunter has 1, healer has 10...
city hunter's ending was ok,the only thing left is for him,his mom and
kim nana to leave the country and live happily...when i watched healer's
ending i was telling my sis dat maybe dats not all..i was expecting
more ,cos i still av a lot to add to it, the ending sucks
which tasteless food is dat lol

so don't dare compare snail to lion
don't compare city hunter to healer
i watched it with remote in my hand ,forwarding useless scenes lol
u hear me so
Ok ma, we don hear. smiley just like @hilda90 said, one man's newspaper is another man's suya wrapper grin. I loved City Hunter, but I love Healer more.

I certainly do.

I'm a sucker for a man's tears in a drama. Remember Wookie sobbing over Sungyang when he thought she died? Or Hyun Bin crying when Ha Ji Won couldn't wake from her coma?

Lol so many...
Lool.

There is just something about watching diamonds falling from a man's eyes in dramas- especially when he's cute. grin

lol, that scene was my favorite in healer,no kidding. i watched it many times,so romantic. that scene when he wanted to kiss her,and she covered her face with a cloth was so cute and that stare of his, when she did that, daebak!.
Ji chang wook must be a good romantic in real life cos his romantic scenes in dramas look natural.
There's just so many reasons to love JCW.

Indian series? Lol we Nigerians sef we can enjoy different cultures. I like indian movies, never tried their series. Oooh to watch Healer again will just be a punishment cos I'll keep wishing to be in PMY's shoes. Lmao
Their series are fun-and without song breaks every 15 minutes grin-
You're right about wanting to be in PMY's shoes, God knows how many times I've imagined myself in all those lovey-dovey scenes with wookie. I'm such a hopeless romantic.

As if u need to ask about that scene... I love when the male costar is nursed by his love interest. Watching her sleep.. Being all over her while she was trying to cook.. Even trailing her to the bus stop because he couldn't just let go..

And some wonder why Wookie stole our heart...
Wookie was just perfect, I can't imagine anyone else but him playing that role. He made it seem so real.
*dies from healer overload, then resurrects and goes off to watch some selected healer scenes*- I need something to get my mind off this miserable scene in an Indian Series I'm watching.

Not noticed about the chaebol father's, but we forgot to mention chaebol mothers who make the worst mother in laws grin

Awww those wrist grabs when walking away are the juiciest lol

Also back hugs ugh Healer gave the best back hugs....
Arrrgh! Chaebol moms are terrible. My mom is always like why don't these women get a job rather than shopping, wearing fur coats and buying paintings.

As for healer... Do you remember the episode Young Sin came to visit him when he was sick and mourning his master. He just couldn't keep his hands off her, holding her, hugging her... It was sooo cute to watch, I was just awww-ing.

All correct, and here's more grin in some Saguek dramas especially:

_ poisoned kings
_ silent bodyguard hunk who secretly loves princess/queen
_marriage of convenience where both parties love someone else they can't have
_ cross dressing princess/ lead actress
_ Confused male actor in love with disguised male who is actually a female
_ betrayal in the palace by ministers and opposing factions

_ at one point one love interest will apply plaster to her costar or vice versa
_ piggy back ride to the hospital
_ back hug, wrist grab, double wrist grab
_ rescuing loved one from drowning yet no chance to give mouth to mouth resuscitation
_ underwater kisses

Etc etc
Would love to name the dramas I've seen all these but the post will take too long and I'm using my phone which I h8

Lol but it's weird how they repeat usage of these drama tropes
Lool, correct. Those drama tropes are what make K-dramas unique.
I love piggy back rides especially when the lady is drunk and starts running her mouth.
Those wrist and arm grabbing parts are to die for, especially in those intense moments when the girl is trying to walk away, and the guy just grabs her wrist to stop her. Woosh!

Plus have you noticed that those Chaebol fathers are almost always on wheelchair when being investigated by the prosecutors?

Things you find in most K dramas.

1) There is always that tent bar where they drink Soju alongside fish cakes and Blood Sausage soup. grin plus sizzling pork belly wrapped in lettuce in restaurants. cheesy

2) The Soju parties often lead to a noraebang (karaoke)

3) There is always that eating scene with sticky rice in a small bowl and lots of side dishes. grin

4) In most family dramas, there is a grandmother or grandfather. wink

5) Cute couples celebrating 100 days anniversary with couple Tees, couple rings etc. smiley

6) The other characters who aren't leads, but you've just got to love them as they make a drama more fun - Healer's Ahjumma, Eunuch in Moon Embracing the Sun. cheesy

7) The other couple who you ship ever so faithfully throughout the drama. They might end up together- So Yi Jung and Cho Ga Eul in Boys over flowers, JunHo and Sol in Discovery of romance smiley- and they might not- Wang Yu and Yon Feisu in Empress Ki. cry

cool In saeguks, there is always that prime minister/ regent trying to take power from the king. angry
9) The Queen/ Dowager/ Concubine who wants to secure her place and wants more power.angry

10) Fun expressions like Aigoo, eottoke, oppa, sunbae, ahjumma, ahjussi, Ya! Aish! Chincha, deabak etc. grin

Kekkeekee fun for us but not fun for the discarded actor..

I like LMH but JCW has done some memorable roles for ME as a Kdrama viewer such as Warrior Baek Dong Soo, Empress Ki and now Healer. I loved Heirs yes but I'm yet to finish BOF or Faith. And still haven't seen City Hunter.

In short I'm more a Wookie fan than a Minoz but I wish them both well. Guess what if you told me they both have new dramas out can u guess whose I'll want to watch first? Then you have my answer **wink**
85% sure it is Wookie's drama.
