i second you on empress ki, i was enjoying the drama way too much, then the last episode happened and i was WTF!. another one is IRIS,i liked the drama but was so pissed off about the ending. city hunter didn't have sad ending but i felt it was a bit rushed.

The City Hunter writers probably didn't want to extend the number of episodes, so they had to rush it.

I've seen only seen the first two and I agree. In Empress Ki they totally should have let us have that perfect ending but no, they had to keep it 'real'. Lol @ You from the Stars was gosh so annoying at the end.. So what happens, do they get a future together or what?? Soo frustrating lmao

Yasss! Lol there are loads of those I can think of eg Sword and Flower just left me gasping with a gaping hole somewhere in my chest. Which drama left u just wondering....why?!

Empress Ki- Why did the writers kill the Emperor? Couldn't they have just lived happily ever after?

You From the Stars- Why couldn't he just stay put? Which one is going and coming?

Prime Minister and I- How could the writers resurrect the dead wife and put a damp on the prime minister's romance?

Secret- This one had a good ending, but I wished they showed more of their romance.

Etc etc.

More good news: Joseon Magician has started filming - and new returnee Yoo Seung-ho is starring ugh I'm soo pumped. Like I was for Joseon Gunman. So cheer up girl there's a lot to look forward. Look on the bright side

I sent them a mail, because it's just totally unfair.
On the bright side, I'm happy for Producers (which I could have watched on the channel by the way), and I'm glad for Joseon Magician- though I'd have loved to see YSH in a drama first.
I'm calming myself down with Blood and re-runs of Healer though, seeing SmHoXy and Wookie does wonders to my blood pressure, lol.

KBS World a K channel that I watch has been removed from the line up of channels by my cable TV service provider and that's basically the only reason I subscribe every month. This is so sad, as that's where I watch all my KBS dramas plus other vairety, entertainment and music shows. I'm so sad!

I've saved the screenshots. I'm going to be using it to brighten my day when I feel down, lol. Plus there are some great/funny quotes from the drama: Yoo Rita's "Soulmates? Why would you share your soul with someone who has none?" To SmHoXy's dongasaeng.

I thought it was too weird for me so I stopped at ep. 2 especially when I saw the female lead. She doesn't exactly inspire any interest but I liked the visuals of the drama. It was the first modern drama I tried to watch but had to lay it aside and watched You Who Came from the Stars instead. That was months ago...but after seeing a certain review/rating on dramabeans I decided I'd try to watch it again. I just liked the bodyguard guy and then the whole futuristic kind of filming quality that looked so crisp.

It wasn't that long ago that I used to watch ONLY period dramas and historical pieces I'm happy I changed my mind and started watching other themes and not just sageuks.

The only thing I liked about the drama was the little boy Chang. I couldn't even watch past 6 episodes.

In other news, I'm watching episode 3 of Blood right now, and I'm loving it!
Observations: Ku Hye Sun is Beautiful in this drama.
Is it just me or does SmHoXy looks like Shin Sung-rok (of Kings face/You from the stars) whenever he wears his surgical mask.

Things he doesn't like: 4) The Scent of cheap perfume.

Hello guys hope the weekend is going great

Decided to enjoy a period piece and chose Hwang Jin Yi starring my gurl Ha Ji Won. I'm at episode 4 and it's quite engaging.

Hwang Jin Yi was my first Ha Ji Won drama, and boy did she do justice to her role there. She actually won the Daesang/ highest award at the KBS drama awards in 2006 for her role.
(Anytime she acts as the titular character, she'll win a Daesang, just like she did with Empress Ki.)
I can't wait for her new drama- hope she accepts the offer though.

Y'all should watch Jungle Fish 2 if you have the time, it's just 8 episodes. It is a very touching drama.

i am not surprise your mum likes him cos he performed exceptionally well in good doctor. joo won seems like a nice person off screen. i am not always interested in k actors personalities but i always get the feeling that joo won,lee seung gi and won bin are nice people(not saying others are not) and dont pretend when the camera starts rolling. Won bin has been my only korean crush for two years now. i like other actors and their dramas but i love won bin so much. if he proposes to me(maybe in my dreams),i will accept without blinking. He is an older actor but he is so mysterious,doesn't talk much, very shy,doesnt do interviews,no plastic surgery(was so handsome as a child),very decent,acts movies once in four years(which i dont like).i can write a book about him. i love lee min ho,ji chang wook and others but won bin has been my secret crush for so long. i dont talk to others about it,this is my first time,lol.

Joo Won is a natural. My mum and I usually watch a weekend variety show of his 2 days and 1 night till he left the show to focus more on his career.
As per my crush, it's Kim Jae Joong. He was my first ever real crush, forget puppy and sexy voice who I'm crazy about. I love KJJ in a quiet kinda way.

Joo Won is the only k actor i know that doesn't use too much make up, that's why his appearance in awards is always voted the best by people in dramabeans every year.

Joo Won is my mummy's friend. She always calls him Dr. Park from Good Doctor lol.

Wow @ your elder bro lol but in Asia having that flower boy look is the ultimate. Thanks to all those manga cartoons and comicbooks. People who've visited Korea always talk about how it's common to see guys wear makeup. Just eyeliner and sometimes pancake It shows they take pride in their appearance and are comfortable with their sexuality, so they aren't worried about looking manly or not. Because they are naturally blessed with these feminine features/physique (small face, small waist, smooth skin, puffy lips etc)

Sometimes, actors are teased that they look even prettier and more attractive than their lovely female co-stars

I've seen some K-drama actors (like Ji Chang Wook) who have better skin than some women they act with.

These male actors look practically flawless.

The 'Birth of a Beauty' craze for the perfect skin, face, body etc is real lol. That's why even guys use eye liner, pancake, BB creams and at times lipstick/gloss.
All in all, long live the eye candies of Kdrama Republic.

One of the reasons my eldest brother dislikes K dramas is because of their pretty flower boy actors. He just can't stand them lol.
I like cute guys but when they are too pretty, it becomes a problem. Which is why I don't really like their Kpop boy bands, most of them are feminine and they even make up.

And yes, Jae-hyeon is like 28 while KSH is around 27. But KSH played an 'older' role in YWCFTS. Also, KSH is 'older' in the industry. Jae-hyeon first acted in YWCFTS as Gianna Jun's younger bro. So he's still a baby in acting compared to KSH lol

Did you know...Kim Soo Hyun is a year younger than the guy Ahn Jae-hyeon who played Gianna Jun's younger brother in You From the star? I mean the guy playing lead male in Blood That must have been weird, KSH playing 'hyung' to a guy who's older than him but looks years younger.

Ahn Jae-hyeon said he enjoyed working with KSH and even asked for acting tips (since AJH is new to k-dramas while KSH has been around for a while) I think that's cute they've got a bromance going on

i have said it before and i will say it again,lee min ho is one of the overrated korea actors,you will notice that i have not said anything about him being a good actor. i just like watching his dramas(ones with good storyline,) and he has a great screen presence that makes me want to watch anything he appears in. i can be biased about an actor,but when it comes to acting chops,i say the truth. the likes of hyun bin,ji chang wook, lee seung gi, joo won,song joon ki and others are better actors.

Oooh, KSH fan alert! OKies, no vex Just repeating what someone said when commenting on an article about him and I do agree just a bit. He killed it in You From the stars though. I'm just not feeling him as an actor. I like 'manly' actors like So Ji Sub and Zo In Sung lol. Ji Chang Wook had a pass because he actually can be manly or boyish depending on what his role expects of him...

But in all I have massive respect for ALL k-drama actors whether I'm their fan or not, so no offence to KSH, I can see you like him

I totally like him. He was my number 2, then I found Wookie and Sexy Voice and they pushed him down to number 4 But he aint leaving the 4th position though.
