BlackMerchant:you people are just mischievous. A novel idea and you already believe it will work? What are the indices? Even top economists I have spoken to criticized this move by CBN. I'm talking professors here |
PassingShot:what is the structure to support the floating of the naira... if you are saying there is no structure that means the naira will soon become useless. My guess is that govt will pump in dollars to prevent dollar scarcity or what is the plan? You think you can just come here and be blabbling floating the naira up and down |
989900:why not advice buhari to use military to stabilize the naira to $1 to N1 as he produced so that you can be happy for once instead of always living in dreamland |
989900:coming from the same set of people that believed buhari will turn N1 to $1. The same people that hailed buhari for not devaluing the naira. I will jump and pass.. keep wishing |
tbaba1234:you lack knowledge of economics.. Nigeria, a largely importing nation is floating naira and you think it's sound economics. The fact is that the CBN and Buhari are totally confused. |
PassingShot:sorry inugo.. Let the FG keep pumping dollar to support the floating and lets see how long it lasts.. ha |
PassingShot:go and check your history.. there is nothing on ground to support the floating of the naira.. You will rejoice today and also find a way to deceive the zombies when the effects begin to show. This was how you lots hailed buhari for not devaluing the naira and also hailed him for devaluing the naira. smh |
PassingShot:keep deceiving yourself.. This is not the first time Naira is being floated.. It was floated during babangida's regime and that was what crashed the strength of the naira to dollar then.. Let's see if naira doenst hit 500 to 1 dollar in few weeks time |
lawflec:is he a governor? why should he take the advice? smh |
lalasticlala, mynd44 do the needful |
hagmond1:are you safe? |
lalasticlala, mynd44, seun mods.. |
This is the biggest gift the common sense senator gave to Buhari on his return from medical treatment abroad and also governors, lets see if they are serious to take this advice or keep running around doing nothing.
|
One1after:how many agencies finally gave this lying machine loans for this useless trip? |

ABEOKUTA — Suspected herdsmen have reportedly invaded Ilewo-Orile community in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, killing three persons and carting away huge sums of money and other valuables. Two of the victims, identified as Amosun Ogunronbi and Owolabi Ogunronbi, were siblings, who had thrift saving, Esusu, money on them. Vanguard learned that the third victim, simply known as Philip, was hacked to death on Friday night and his corpse discovered the following day. An eyewitness told our correspondent that the community had in the past come under similar attacks by rampaging herdsmen. The source alleged that despite repeated complaints to the police and relevant authorities, nothing tangible had been done to curb the criminal activities of herdsmen in the area. According to him, Philip was killed on Friday night after suspected herdsmen accosted him and snatched his motorcycle, mobile phone and money. He said: “Philip is an Egun man. He went to work on Friday but did not return. When his wife was going to the market in Ibara-Orile on Saturday morning, she saw the dead body of her husband by the road side.” The case was said to have been promptly reported at the Lafenwa Police Station, Abeokuta, and later at the state police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta. It was learned that the victim’s family requested that they be allowed to bury their dead, which the police did not object to. The source, who stated that the murder of the Ogunronbis occurred prior to the Friday incident, disclosed that the suspects carted away the victims’ motorcycle and cash, including daily thrift savings, otherwise known as Esusu. The source added: “Amosun went to collect some thrift savings in Ishaga-Orile and he asked his brother (Owolabi) to convey him there with his motorcycle. When they were coming back, herdsmen attacked them at about 8:30p.m. and hacked them to death. “Some commercial motorcyclists, who passed by later, saw Amosun’s lifeless body by the road side and raised the alarm. “When we got to the scene with vigilante men, we saw the corpse and decided to trace his motorcycle. We discovered the remains of the younger brother in the bush. The herdsmen had removed his (Owolabi) trousers and stolen all the money. “The family decided not to pursue the case. They said since they do not know the identity of the killers, they would prefer to leave the matter to God.” Efforts to get the reaction of the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, at press time proved abortive. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/herdsmen-kill-3-ogun-steal-esusu-funds/ |

South West sends mercenaries to other regions to go and cause havoc, steal and destroy - Senator Godswill Akpabio 2016 |
A 45-year-old medical doctor has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for armed robbery. The suspect identified as Richard Macaulay Obafemi, a medical doctor trained at the University College London, was apprehended on May 17, 2016 on armed robbery charges. Obafemi reportedly had his primary and secondary school education in Ipaja, Lagos State before proceeding to the University College London, UCL, where he obtained a degree in Microbiology in 1987 and later studied medicine at University College London UCL, from 1987-1992, completing his housemanship in Hatsfield London in 1993. The suspect who hails from Ogun State is reported to have had his National Youth Service Corps Scheme in Kwara State before taking up an appointment with the College of Medicine, University of Benin, and worked from 1998 to 2000, before leaving for Saudi Arabia. Obafemi later got a job at the University of Ghana in 2006 and worked till 2015 when he made the decision to visit Nigeria. Speaking on his journey to the dark side, Obafemi said: “In 2015, I came to Nigeria and visited Kaduna State. During that trip, a car I was driving had an accident and the victim died. I was charged to court and remanded at Kaduna Central Prison. But I was later released from prison on April 8, 2016". Obafemi reportedly made friends with two other inmates, Stephen and Ifeanyi, reported to be professional car snatchers and armed robbers. "After I left prison, I had followed Ifeanyi to Asaba and joined their gang, which specialized in snatching cars. We have stolen cars like Lexus, SUV in Lagos State, which I drove to Katsina State to sell to buyers from Niger Republic. "I sold one for N450,000. I didn’t go back to University of Ghana because when I was in prison in Kaduna, I didn’t communicate with them. When I came out from prison, I found out that there was no going back. I decided to join the armed robbery gang to earn a living. I am married and blessed with three children. I lost my wife, Mary in 2012 while my three children are in Canada.” The suspect finally met his waterloo following the arrest of an alleged member of his gang identified as Vincent, in Onitsha who disclosed sensitive information about the gang to the police. Further investigations finally led to Obafemi's arrest at a hotel in Anambra State, and the police is set to charge the suspect as well as his accomplices to court soon. |
