PoliticsRe: UN Commends Delta State On Delivery Of Mdgs by atlwireles(op): 1:17pm On Sep 24, 2014
Gone through all the comments here, same old complainers, this time with their different monikers making their usual noise. Maybe Udaughan needs to have N20B budget for propaganda like their states do. Then they might call him a performer. Uduaghan has done well, actually very well. The man touched lives across the three senatorial zones, with places in Delta south seeing their first bridges, health center, new markets, water transportation jetties, renovated schools and roads in Nigerian history.

From Education, transportation, healthcare and rural empowerment, mostly for a state as rural as delta( we hope to keep it rural) This Gov has given all deltans a sense of belonging. Deltans don't put up with nonsense, for the state to be calm and quite, then something has to be going on.

M4gunners: Were in Delta State do you live bro? Please don't misunderstand me o,I'm from Delta State but for the last five years I have not been there. However,my siblings still complaint of bad Roads, water, health care and more. As a matter of facts,am just hearing it for the first time that in Delta State there's free education.
Have you become a deltan now? You people with your 10M fake monikers.

Htown64: pictures don't lie. I send u some pics of primary schools in warri when I get hold of my new Phone to prove to you that the govt is best at deceiving people. The only place I can score this govt is on mother & child free med. Water is zero and transportation is same because you will have to wait for hours on end before it gets to your turn which is not good.
You are still on this lie? The last time you attempted it on the EDo/Delta thread, Evastar200, proved you to be a liar. Get off it and carry your useless lies to a different state.

stinggy: I wonder how too. I spent almost a year in Delta. You can't be receiving such a huge allocation and yet have nothing to show for it. The roads are bad except for federal roads, once it rains, better you stay back in because all the roads will be flooded. Except for few schools picked for re-modeling, others are in bad shape.
All Uduaghan does is to invest in petty projects. I laughed so hard when I saw him commission a swimming pool in Warri grin Like dafuqhuh

After a while this bullshift does not sell.

kennyfao: God bless u for that question
I tot I am d only one wondering which part of Delta State because I have being in warri and also a regular visitor to places like Ughelli, kwale, abraka, obiaruko and ozoro for the past four years and I have not seen any form. of development here in Delta state oo
Infact, u nid to come to warri and see how uduaghan has spoilt all d road in d name of a failed project called BRT lane., digging all d side raods in d name of a failed supply ofpotable water. In our own accessment as residents of Delta state the Governer is a. Complete failure.

You have to use your eyes and keep your assessment to yourself. The water project and BRT are faliures? Na wa for some of you kids sha..
PoliticsUN Commends Delta State On Delivery Of Mdgs by atlwireles(op): 2:02am On Sep 24, 2014
AFTER over a year’s on-the-spot-assessment of implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the United Nations (UN) has commended the Delta State government, for meeting international standards.

The UN commends Delta government in education, health, agriculture, provision of potable water and sanitation through the micro-credit scheme.

The commendation came in New York, United States (US), as the report of UN assessors who had been in Delta State for over 12 months evaluating the status of core thematic areas in the global body’s MDGs target was unveiled before an international audience.

According to press statement issued in New York by Chike C. Ogeah, Delta State Commissioner for Information, the free medical care programme for children under five years and seniors over 65, as well as the free maternal care up to delivery for pregnant women was highlighted as a crucial project that had reduced infant mortality in Delta.

On education, the report noted that the introduction of Edu-Marshals, a scheme whereby officials are deployed to all towns in the state to ensure children of school age are in institutions, alongside the free and compulsory education of children up to secondary education, was recommended by the UN report for adoption by other governments in meeting the goals of universal education.

The report, which was made public at the ongoing UN General Assembly in New York, was read by Ambassador Shola Omoregie, a former UN Secretary General’s envoy to Africa, who led the team of UN experts to Delta State.

Speaking on the report, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan thanked the UN, saying his decision to seek the assessment of the UN was in the best interest of not just the present generation of the people of the state, but those growing up.

FastShipping: Tagged Islamic by how many people? The few and the loudest from certain part of the country.
Anyhow you like, you can spice it. It is not my political problem.
PoliticsRe: A Northern Christian Presidential Candidate For The APC By Femi Aribisala by atlwireles: 1:30am On Sep 24, 2014
FastShipping: And what party is tagged Islamic in Nigeria? You guys are pathetic with your thinking. So because you have a PDP Christian President means all political party should adopt him?? It is obvious you and your ilk are more interested in religion of who the President is. We weren't told to vote a Christian President in 2011 or campaign for a PDP Christian President. We were all for GEJ. We were all saying "vote GEJ but PDP". Level of foolishness being displayed by many of today's youth is nothing to write home about. I can't believe what I have been seeing on this forum in the nine months.
Your APC is tagged Islamic in Nigeria, that the reason for this article by Femi and the OP opening this thread.
PoliticsRe: A Northern Christian Presidential Candidate For The APC By Femi Aribisala by atlwireles: 1:19am On Sep 24, 2014
FastShipping: Why didn't they field one in 2011 instead of Yar'Adua?

It doesn't matter who is nominated as long as the person means well for the nation.
Because we just had a Southern PDP christian president. Like I said, PDP is not the party tagged as Islamic in Nigeria.

I don't think PDP has a northern christian problem.

dekronik: What's funny and suspicious about ma threads? I ALWAYS give out sources of ma news. I want an end to these senseless killings so truth must be told. This is how Ahmed Salkida was arrested and locked up simply because he alerted the govt way back in 2008 that boko haram were planning on forming an independent state. If his statements were taken seriosly we would not have been in this situation.
Ahmed salkida, should be nowhere but an underground DSS cell.

ayukdaboss: Oh..so after graduating from school we're all supposed to start business and SMEs when jobs aren't available? We shouldn't crticize the government's incompetence?
Did the government send you to school? Maybe the person that sent you to school should also provide a job for you. The primary school pupil is waiting for government, the secondary pupil is waiting for government, the university student is waiting for government, the army is waiting for government, the Okada rider and drivers are waiting for government, the SUV owners are waiting for government, the cattle owner is waiting for government, the cocoa farmer is waiting for government, NUPENG is waiting for government, the retired Nigerian airways worker is waiting for government, and the list goes on and on and on.. Who is this government?

Truckpusher: I understand there are challenges for these guys but they never get challenges in doing the wrong thing all the time .Why can't they take it upon themselves to do just one thing that'll change the lives of Nigerians at least for once ? Even if it'd kill them, what has happened to the spirit of patriotism?

Honestly, everyday I loose hope on this country but God help me because people are suffering ,just put yourself in their shoes and feel their pains for once maybe just then you'll understand me better.
People will stop suffering when they decide to take their lives in their hands. Government is trying to create that environment for me and you to operate, but government cannot become, the be all for everybody. I understand where poverty takes you in life, but for Christ sake, why should a Nigerian from any part of this country see themselves as hopelessly poor? why.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Records 85 Per Cent Employment In 6 Months – NBS by atlwireles: 8:34pm On Sep 23, 2014
ayukdaboss: Of course it won't change it. Why?
Because when we throw the blame and criticism at the government for their incompetence, there's still a community of sycophants like yourself encouraging the government to go on with their recklessness of tackling national issues simply because they're feeding on crumbs and licking the asses of the government.
You still don't get it. Reading through your comment, one sees the quintessential Nigerian. Always blaming, constantly finding faults in others. Never ones, turning that searchlight on himself.

“Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property.

When government-- in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.” Milton Friedman.

Truckpusher: But govt has an obligation to create an environment that would enhance job creation by the people themselves or individuals.Who would want to build a multimillion Naira or dollar industry in a country that war and chaos smells allover it?

I've support your arguments most times but on this ,it's a shame my brother......let us tell ourselves the truth sometimes for God's sake.
Government's job is to create the environment. I agree 100%, now the question is , has government in the last 15 years done worse than the previous 39 years, in creating an environment, where you and I can explore our God given abilities.

Are you saying that enough resources is not in place or the govt due to their own self serving interest refused to explore other resources in this country ?

In as much as I support the PDP than any other party and wants GEJ reelected , the lies of this administration is so hard for my conscience to bear.....tufiakwa angry
Before you shoot off your hip, go and read the report as stated by NBS on their web page. It is a 77 page report and not the junk published by PM news.

anonimi: I hope our fellow citizens can reflect upon and appreciate what you said.
Thanks again for your insight.
They will not reflect, in Nigeria, someone else has to be responsible for your own happiness and failures. A society where nobody is prepared to accept responsibility for their actions....... If is not corruption, it's witchcraft, wickedness, some invisible demons. But never themselves.
