Those picking unnecessary arguments with truckpusher on this thread are beyond funny. His comments on this thread represents 95% of the mindset of the average Nigerdeltan. Stop wasting his time with your mindless and useless replies, instead learn from him. Nothing is more irritating than NL Nigerdeltan anthropologists, most of who never stepped foot on the Niger delta. Truckpusher, more power and keep giving it to them.

No Rivers man nor Niger Deltan is against the agitation for a separate state by the Igbos but distorting historical facts and changing names of places and cities to sooth your movement is an insult taken too far - I think at this point our Igbo neighbors really need to sit down, think thoroughly what they want and how they wish to achieve it and if any alliance is needed , it should be solely based on mutual agreement and not some propaganda that smacks of insults that won't go down well with the minority tribes of the Niger Delta.

This same mistake was made in 1967 and it would be stupidity on anyone's part to make the same political mistake after more than 40 years.

Kponkwem:
@HopeAtHand You also claimed some Ikwerre resent the Igbo because they were not treated as brothers in the old eastern region? Come off it. This is the greatest lie from the pit of hell! I had been confronted with this particular claim by a PA to a judge- who is Ikwerre. Well we became friends after I overheard him speak Igbo or something that sounded like Igbo. But one day, he stood he stood up to it that why do I refer to him as brother (Nwanne) when as it were i am not from Rivers. I then said 'which part of Rivers?' 'Isiokpo in Ikwerre'. 'What but we are still brothers', I replied him and he took me through this boring, unsubstantiated tale of 'igbo discriminated against our people that you have to get your land papers in PH from Enugu bla bla bla'.
[/s]
[s]By the time I took him through the developmental strides of the then Eastern Nigerian-led government of Dr Michael Okpara in Rivers State- the garden City masterplan, the Trans-Amadi Industrial layout, the Presidential Hotel, the oil palm plantations, the standard hospitals etc etc, he was apologetic and has maintained a forlorn, ignorant and remorseful posture ever since anytime we meet. It is noteworthy that Okpara achieved these in all parts of the east-now nine states despite having any substantial revenue like the West (Cocoa) and North (groundnut). Such that when oil was discovered and first exported from PH, Tafawa Balewa wrote congratulating Okpara for his now having 'oil revenue' to facilitate free education in the region like the other regions were enjoying.
[/s]
[s]If you read your ENDB document by Okpara, you will hate all those subsequent divisive govners in the 70s, mainly from Ijaw speaking areas, who took the reigns of power and instituionalised abandoned property policies and tried to pander to the federal government to the detriment of the brotherly and progressive easterners then...

Give up this stupidd lying stories, you people tell on this forum.

FYI,

The Edos are not forcing anyone to be part of them. Edo History, culture & civilastion is well known worldwide, perhaps one of the best known in Sub-Saharan Africa.
But people can chose to twist history if they wish.

Having lost the war against the British in 1897, Benin people accepted their fate of losing empire.

Upon restoration of the Monarchy 1914, Benin people accepted to end claims to territories/vassal lands in Eastern Yorubaland & Delta/Western Iboland, etc.

Benin people have moved on. So nobody should be stuck in the past.

Anyone can claim to have come from Mars originally it makes them happy.

Let us watch and see what happens at the Court of Appeal
Justice Pindiga was the same judge that was thrown out of the Governorship election tribunal coz we already knew what he was up...

How can a Judge sit down for several weeks listening to the merits of the petition by the petitioner only to dismiss the case on the premise of Preliminary objections - failure of APC to give INEC 21 days notice before conducting its primaries.
An Issue the Court Of Appeal had earlier ruled in favour of APC last month.
With today's Judgement there is finally light at the end of the tunnel coz the COA will just reverse the entire ruling and give judgement based on the merits or demetrits of the petition and not on pre-election technicalities...

Maybe Wike paid off the tribunal members cheesy some of you are just too shameless.

I have to give NNPC credit for providing the public numbers that were known in the industry for many many years. NNPC is no different from Nitel, NEPA and Nigeria airways. Huge government businesses, that never found a way to ever make money.

Since many of you do not belong to the Catholic Church and others are non-believers, from the bottom of my heart I give this silent blessing to each and every one of you, respecting the conscience of each one of you but knowing that each one of you is a child of God.

I believe in God - not in a Catholic God; there is no Catholic God. There is God, and I believe in Jesus Christ, his incarnation. Jesus is my teacher and my pastor, but God, the Father, Abba, is the light and the Creator. This is my Being.
