Studying Philosophy is a whole lot of fun, a mind teaser which may appear like some kind of joke but hey it is serious business. I still remember what life was like in those early days as a student of Philosophy. In the course of job interviews I have met graduate of Biochemistry, biological science struggling to have a marketing or customer service job. Our job potentials abound but why are too many Philosophy graduates underemployed or jobless?

Final year project is an avenue for undergraduates to test their acceptability and possible opportunity in the labor market. I still remember some of the topics some of my friends chose, mine was not different either Aquinas Natural Law Theory, Aristotles Matter and Form and many other brilliant but abstract theories which has no relevance to the job market that is imminent.
In humble opinion, a graduate should turn his project topic into his business, his enterprise that can earn him a fortune not some jamboree topic that has little import after graduation. Some other funny topics are Platos World of Form, Act and Potency in Aristotle, Situation Ethics and Joseph Fletcher etc These should have been books read not research in view of its low import.
I wanted to laugh in Igala language when I read where the PAN where calling on government to include the teaching of Philosophy in Elementary Education. It is a good idea because most subjects there are like philosophy but it can never solve the unemployment crises for graduates of Philosophy many of whom are in serious need of good employment.
