PoliticsThe Kogi State Pdp Gubernatorial Aspirant, Calls For Urgent And Decisive Governm by Augustine201(op): 5:52pm On Nov 30, 2025
*IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

*THE KOGI STATE PDP GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANT, CALLS FOR URGENT AND DECISIVE GOVERNMENT ACTION ON THE DETERIORATING SECURITY SITUATION IN KOGI STATE.*

The Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Gubernatorial Aspirant, Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, has expressed deep concern over the recent and troubling wave of attacks on worship centres in Egbe and Ejiba, describing the incidents as a stark indication of an escalating security crisis that requires immediate and coordinated government intervention.

The attempted assault on a church behind Ayshat Hotel in Egbe, courageously repelled by local vigilantes and the tragic abduction of a pastor and several worshippers in Ejiba underscore a dangerous pattern of violence that threatens the peace, stability and communal harmony of Kogi State.

Dr. Bryhm commended the bravery and rapid response of the community vigilante groups, while stressing that such efforts, though commendable, cannot replace the government’s constitutional obligation to protect lives and property. According to him, when citizens are compelled to rely on self-help for their safety, it signals a critical weakening of the state’s security architecture.

He further emphasized that security is the bedrock of peace, economic growth, and sustainable development, noting that no society can thrive when its sacred spaces become targets of violence and its citizens live under constant fear.

To address the rising insecurity, Dr. Bryhm calls on both the Kogi State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria to urgently implement the following measures:

• Strengthen security deployment across all identified flashpoints and vulnerable communities.

• Enhance coordination, training, and support for local security networks, ensuring effective synergy with formal security agencies.

• Deploy intelligence-led operations aimed at identifying and dismantling criminal enclaves, camps, and syndicates.

• Prioritise the swift rescue of abducted victims, while ensuring perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice without delay.

Dr. Bryhm reaffirmed that the people of Kogi State peaceful, resilient and industrious, deserve to live, work, worship and raise their families in an environment free from fear and violence. He urged all levels of government to rise to their constitutional duty and restore confidence in the state's security framework.

“Security is not a luxury, nor is it a privilege, it is a fundamental right. The lives of our people must be protected without delay,” Dr. Bryhm stated.

2027; We shall ensure that our youthful population becomes one of our major exports. This is my aspiration for Kogi State.”

—Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, Ph.D

Kogi State stands at the threshold of a new era, an era shaped not by its resources, but by its people. Among those people, our greatest hope and strength lies in our youth.

We are blessed with a vibrant, intelligent and energetic youthful population. They are our innovators, our problem-solvers, our dreamers and our builders. But it is not enough to celebrate their potential, we must harness it.

It is my firm aspiration that Kogi State’s youthful population will become one of our most valuable exports to the world, not in the form of brain drain, but as skilled, empowered individuals who represent the very best of us. Youth who are globally competitive, yet locally rooted. Men and women who carry with them not only skills, but the values, resilience and ambition that define Kogi State.

This vision demands more than words. It demands investment in education, in vocational training, in digital innovation and in entrepreneurship. It calls for policies that create opportunities, remove barriers, and inspire excellence.

We shall work to ensure that no young person is left behind, that talent is not wasted and that Kogi state becomes a beacon for youth-driven development in Nigeria and beyond.

Let us rise to this challenge. Let us believe in our youth, not just as the leaders of tomorrow, but as the changemakers of today. Together, we will ensure that they become not only our pride, but our most distinguished global contribution.

Let's Win Together.
A Greater Kogi State is Possible.

PoliticsThe Parthway To Kogi Progress Dr. Folabora Bryhm by Augustine201(op): 2:41pm On Nov 29, 2025
In 2027, Kogi State deserves a Governor with the capacity and capability to catalyze both economic and political advancement, someone who can mobilize technocrats, entrepreneurs and grassroots actors alike to take bold and decisive action.

Globally, politics and the economy are interwoven forces that shape societies. Kogi State is no exception. The time has come to elevate our standards of living, increase purchasing power, combat youth unemployment and eliminate poverty amidst our state's abundant human and material resources.

His Excellency, Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, a distinguished political figure with the experience and insight needed to harmonize the diverse forces at play within the democratic framework. He is a detribalized leader, whose socio-economic, political, and familial ties cut across the ethno-religious tapestry of Kogi State. His inclusive nature is a key asset for building unity and collective purpose.

To truly move Kogi State forward, we must overcome the barriers of ethno-religious sentiment that have too often hindered the emergence of the right leadership. Dr. Folabora Bryhm represents that breakthrough. He is not a political opportunist, nor an unprepared, accidental leader. He is a Kogite, driven by vision, not personal ambition, armed with the passion to shape a new, peaceful and united Kogi State 2027.

We no longer have room for leaders who depend solely on politics for survival, lacking innovation or business acumen. The future of Kogi State requires a leader with foresight, integrity and a track record of service.

A Greater Kogi State is within our reach.

Let's Win Together.
