Iluke Bandit Attack: When Will the Attacks End? – Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm Demands Action

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has strongly condemned the repeated bandit attacks in Iluke Community, Bunu District of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi State—particularly the recent incident that claimed the life of a vice principal at the secondary school.

“Again, our communities are bleeding. Again, we are counting bodies. Again, we are asking the same question: where is protection?” Dr. Bryhm said in a statement released by his media office.

He noted that the “repeated attacks” are no longer isolated incidents but a disturbing pattern. “A pattern that says citizens are left to defend themselves while those sworn to protect our people offer press statements instead of solutions,” he added.

Citing the Nigerian Constitution, Dr. Bryhm reminded the government that its primary duty is the security of lives and property. “Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution is clear: ‘the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.’”

“A clean hand fears no scrutiny. But dirty silence in the face of bloodshed is complicity. Kogites deserve better than promises. Kogites deserve safety,” he said.

The governorship aspirant commended the Nigerian Military, local vigilantes, hunters, and other security operatives for their bravery and swift response, which he said foiled a planned mass abduction of WAEC candidates during the terrorist attack.

Dr. Bryhm urged the Kogi State Government and relevant security agencies to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice. “People should be able to live in their homes without fear of attack or insecurity,” he stated.

He called on the government to move beyond press statements and take decisive action against insecurity and criminal hideouts across the state.

“Kogi State is destined for greatness,” Dr. Bryhm concluded.

PDP Gubernatorial Aspirant Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm Condemns Repeated Banditry and Kidnapping Attacks in Kogi West and Other Parts of Kogi State

The Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm has expressed outrage over the reported gruesome killing of an NSCDC personnel, Ayodotun Olukotun, and the displacement of his family members during an attempted kidnapping at his residence in Odo-Ere, Yagba West LGA of Kogi State early this morning.

Dr. Bryhm lamented that attacks on the peace-loving, hardworking, and innocent people across Kogi West and other parts of the state have become one too many. He stated that the menace must be tackled head‑on and that the government must provide visible results as soon as possible.

Recounting the efforts of these communities to set up vigilante volunteers, he described it as most unfortunate that they are now being targeted by bandits and other criminals, and said this should not be allowed to continue any longer.

“My heart goes out to the Odo-Ere community, the family of the deceased, and to everyone who has become a victim of this ugly cycle of kidnapping and banditry incidents,” he said.

Dr. Bryhm urged the Federal Government and State Government to swiftly take action to secure the lives and property of the people, noting that the primary responsibility of a democratic government is to protect citizens.

He commiserated with the community and the family of the deceased over their loss.

PoliticsDr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm Condemns Terror In Kogi, Demands Immediate Action Ove by Augustine201(op): 12:11pm On Jun 03
DR. FOLABORA ADEKOYA BRYHM CONDEMNS TERROR IN KOGI, DEMANDS IMMEDIATE ACTION OVER AIYEGUNLE BUNU AND IGALA LAND KIDNAPPINGS.

The rising violence in Kogi State has reached a critical point. Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, a People's Democratic Party (PDP) hopeful for the 2027 governorship, has condemned the recent kidnapping of innocent people in Aiyegunle Bunu, in the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area. He also highlighted the troubling displacement of entire communities in Dekina, Omala and other part of Igala land of the state due to ongoing attacks by bandits and kidnappers.

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm stated that the increasing insecurity in Kogi State cannot be viewed as just ordinary crime; it has taken on the characteristics of an insurgency against the people.

"I am outraged and deeply saddened by the blatant kidnapping of our fellow citizens in Aiyegunle Bunu. It is unacceptable to learn that hardworking farmers and families in Igala land have fled their ancestral homes and left the graves of their ancestors because the state has failed to protect them."

"These acts are not mere crimes; they are acts of war against the people of Kogi State by ruthless criminals. The fact that citizens would rather live as refugees in their own state than stay in their communities is a serious reflection of the current security situation."

"To the kidnappers and bandits terrorizing Kabba-Bunu, Igala land and other areas in Kogi State: You are cowards targeting innocent and defenseless people. Your time will soon come to an end."

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm called on the Kogi State Government and relevant security agencies to take immediate and effective action, including:

The immediate deployment of special security forces to Okun and other affected communities in the other region of the state to rescue victims and shut down criminal hideouts. The establishment of permanent military and security posts in vulnerable rural areas and forest corridors. Increased intelligence gathering and coordinated operations to prevent more attacks and kidnappings.

"If Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his administration cannot ensure the safety of the people who elected them, they must accept responsibility and take action. We cannot watch Kogi State fall deeper into insecurity. The government’s silence is troubling, and the people deserve answers."

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm also expressed support for families displaced by violence in the state.

"Do not give up your land to criminals. I stand with you during this challenging time. The people of Kogi deserve safety, dignity, and the ability to live and work without fear. Your suffering is our shared suffering, and your voices will be heard."

The PDP governorship candidate urged all concerned citizens and stakeholders in Kogi State to come together and demand prompt and continuous action against insecurity. He called on both federal and state authorities to move beyond talk and take real steps to secure communities, assist victims, and restore lasting peace in the state.

PoliticsDr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm: A Leader Of Compassion And Truth To His Word by Augustine201(op): 10:17am On May 18
Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm: A Leader of Compassion and Truth to His Word

Kogi State stands at a juncture where the demands of governance can no longer be met with rhetoric, expedience, or transactional politics. The citizens of Kogi require leadership anchored in moral clarity, tested by service, and measured by results. In Dr. Bryhm, that leadership presents itself not as an ambition born of convenience, but as a vocation shaped by compassion and fidelity to public trust.

Leadership divorced from empathy becomes administration without legitimacy. Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm's record in private life has been defined by proximity to the people he serves. His interventions in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment have not been mediated by bureaucracy or spectacle. They have been direct, deliberate, and responsive to the lived realities of communities across Kogi's senatorial zones.

Compassion, in his approach, is expressed not in slogans but in policy choices that prioritize the vulnerable, protect the dignity of the ordinary citizen, and ensure that no community is deemed expendable in the calculus of development. In a state scarred by division and insecurity, such a disposition is not incidental; it is foundational.

The erosion of confidence in public institutions stems less from resource constraints than from the habitual divergence between promise and performance. Dr. FAB has cultivated a reputation for saying what he intends to do, and doing what he says. In political practice, this may appear unremarkable. In Nigerian political reality, it is rare—and therefore valuable.

His consistency lies in refusing to instrumentalize identity, to weaponize grievance, or to substitute spectacle for substance. He understands that trust, once broken, cannot be repaired by later pronouncements. Consequently, his engagements with stakeholders, traditional institutions, youth groups, and party structures are marked by candor rather than calculation.

His aspiration for 2027 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party is premised on a coherent agenda: the restoration of security through community partnership; the revitalization of agriculture and enterprise as engines of employment; the realignment of education with economic opportunity; and the institution of transparent, accountable governance.

This is not a program of abstract ideals. It is a framework designed to address the material conditions of Kogi citizens while reinforcing the social contract between government and governed. Dr. FAB's leadership style—calm, inclusive, and methodical—positions him to execute such an agenda without inflaming the fault lines that have long hindered the state's progress.

The next governor of Kogi will inherit a state that is demographically young, economically underutilized, and politically weary of division. What is required is not a leader who governs for a faction, but one who governs for the whole. Dr. FAB's appeal lies precisely in his capacity to be claimed by no single constituency and to be accountable to all.

He represents continuity of service without continuity of division; ambition without alienation; and politics without the erosion of public dignity. In an era where cynicism has become the default posture toward governance, his candidacy offers a counter-narrative: that leadership can still be principled, that promises can still be kept, and that the state can still belong to its people.

Kogi does not need a ruler. It needs a steward. In Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, the state has a leader whose compassion is evident in his service, and whose word remains his bond.

PoliticsDr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm: Bridging Leadership And The People For A New Kogi St by Augustine201(op): 10:34am On Apr 27
Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm: Bridging Leadership and the People for a New Kogi State

In the architecture of democratic governance, the most enduring bridge is not made of steel or concrete, but of trust. It is the intangible yet indispensable link between the governed and those who seek to govern. As Kogi State approaches the defining electoral cycle of 2027, that bridge bears a name: Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm.

The Kogi Development Agenda (KODA) is not merely a campaign slogan for Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm’s gubernatorial aspiration; it is a governing philosophy. It rejects the notion of leadership as a distant, transactional exercise conducted from the insulated corridors of power. Instead, it insists that governance must be participatory, responsive, and rooted in the lived realities of the people—from the farming communities of Ibaji to the commercial arteries of Lokoja metropolis, from the academic citadels of Ayingba to the agrarian belts of the Western Senatorial districts.

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm's conception of connection transcends optics. It is about institutionalizing feedback, democratizing policy formulation, and ensuring that the voice of the farmer, the teacher, the artisan, and the student carries the same weight as that of the technocrat. To connect, in this context, is to listen with discipline, to consult with humility, and to act with fidelity.

Kogi's challenges are neither abstract nor insurmountable. Insecurity has disrupted livelihoods and fractured communal trust. Unemployment has muted the aspirations of a brilliant youth demographic. Infrastructure deficits have constrained productivity. Yet these challenges are not evidence of impossibility; they are indictments of disconnection—between government and the governed, between policy and impact, between promise and delivery.

KODA proposes to close that gap through competence. Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm brings to this contest a record of structured intervention and administrative acuity. His blueprint for Kogi rests on three interconnected pillars:

1. Security Through Localization
The decentralization of security architecture, championed through a constitutional yet pragmatic framework for state policing, community intelligence, and inter-agency coordination. Security is local, and its solutions must be likewise.

2. Economy Through Industrialization
The transition from subsistence to scale—agro-processing zones, technology incubation hubs, and strategic investment in power and transportation to unlock Kogi's position as the commercial nexus of Northern and Southern Nigeria.

3. Governance Through Accountability
Transparent budgeting, digital citizen engagement platforms, and performance-based metrics for every ministry and local government. Under KODA, you do not have to guess what government is doing; you will see it, measure it, and question it.

Leadership without values is mere administration. Dr. Folabora's aspiration is anchored in a moral clarity that prizes equity over expedience, merit over mediocrity, and unity over the divisive rhetoric that has too often stalled our progress. He understands that Kogi's diversity is not its liability—it is its leverage. KODA is therefore an invitation to a new social covenant, one in which religion, ethnicity, and geography cease to be fault lines and become foundations for collective prosperity.

The 2027 election will not be won by billboards or endorsements alone. It will be won by the quality of the connection between an aspirant and the aspirations of his people. Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm is not asking Kogites to follow him blindly; he is asking Kogites to walk with him deliberately.

KODA is that outstretched hand. It is the town hall that continues after the campaign. It is the policy that begins with your pain point. It is the leadership you can reach, question, and trust.

For those who believe that Kogi deserves better than recycled promises and episodic governance, the path is clear. The bridge is built. The connection is live.

Stand with Dr. Bryhm for Governor of Kogi State – 2027.

The Dawn of a New Era with Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm as Governor of Kogi State

The people have spoken—with clarity, conviction, and resounding consensus. The movement for genuine transformation grows more formidable with each passing day. Across the breadth of Kogi State—from the bustling riverine communities of the west, to the agrarian heartlands of the east, to the historic towns of Kogi Central—a singular, unifying sentiment reverberates: the time for purposeful, people-centred leadership is now.

With unity of spirit, clarity of vision, and steadfastness of purpose, we stand resolutely behind Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm—a statesman of uncommon integrity, whose private life reflects an unwavering commitment to service, sustainable progress, and the realisation of a more prosperous future for all Kogites.

This is not merely a political campaign; it is a covenant between a leader and his people. It is the collective resolve of men and women, young and old, who have grown weary of rhetoric without results, and who now demand governance that is responsive, accountable, and transformative.

Together, under the banner of Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, we are scripting a new chapter for Kogi State—a chapter in which every voice is accorded dignity, every aspiration is given wings, and every community, irrespective of geography or creed, becomes a stakeholder in our shared prosperity.

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm’s gubernatorial blueprint is neither vague nor utopian. It is anchored on pragmatic pillars: economic revitalisation, educational excellence, agricultural modernisation, industrial expansion, youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, and the restoration of enduring peace and security. His leadership philosophy rejects the politics of exclusion and embraces a governance model where prudent management of resources, bold yet responsible development planning, and inclusive policy formulation converge to uplift the ordinary citizen.

Kogi State is blessed with human capital, arable land, and strategic positioning. What it has often lacked is the political will to harness these endowments for the common good. Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm embodies that will. He brings to the table a proven record of service, administrative acumen, and a deep, intuitive understanding of the aspirations that animate our people.

This movement transcends partisan boundaries. It is a clarion call to farmers, traders, civil servants, artisans, students, and professionals—to rise above apathy and become architects of their own destiny. The days of transactional politics, where mandates are bartered for ephemeral inducements, must give way to an era where competence, character, and capacity determine leadership.

As 2027 approaches, let it be known that the people’s mandate is neither ambiguous nor negotiable. It is clear, compelling, and irrevocable.

Kogi West, Kogi East, and Kogi Central must unite and vote for Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm for Kogi State 2027.

Competence. Integrity. Progress for All.
The People’s Mandate is Clear.

Good Friday: A Call to Sacrificial Love Beyond Convenience

.....Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, 2027 PDP Governorship Aspirant, Kogi State

As Christians around the world commemorate Good Friday, Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, a leading governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 election in Kogi State, has called on citizens to reflect on the true essence of sacrificial love.

In his Good Friday message, Dr. Bryhm noted that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ stands as the ultimate demonstration of love—not born of obligation, but of deep, voluntary compassion for humanity.

“Good Friday reminds us that true love is sacrificial. Jesus Christ gave everything not because He had to, but because He loved humanity deeply. It challenges us to love beyond convenience,” Dr. Bryhm stated.

He urged political leaders, aspirants, and all citizens of Kogi State to embrace the spirit of selflessness, service, and sacrifice in their daily interactions and governance approach.

“As we aspire to lead, let us remember that leadership rooted in love for the people—without seeking personal gain or comfort—is what transforms societies,” he added.

Dr. Bryhm reaffirmed his commitment to a people-driven agenda for Kogi State, promising to prioritize the welfare of the vulnerable, inclusive development, and ethical leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.

He wished all Christians in Kogi State and beyond a peaceful and reflective Good Friday, leading to a joyous Easter celebration.

KOGI 2027: WHY KOGITES ARE QUIETLY CRAVING COMPETENCE AND CHARISMA IN LEADERSHIP

By Hon. M. Sani

In Kogi, political popularity is often built in strange ways. Leaders do not always rise because they have experience in the private sector. Many rise by exaggerating themselves, joking away serious problems, displaying force, or treating citizens as people who will accept anything if it sounds bold enough.

Over time, this has shaped a political culture where seriousness is mistaken for weakness, and responsibility is treated as arrogance. Leaders turn hardship into slogans. Failure becomes comedy. Suffering is explained away with jokes, threats, or dramatic excuses.

But quietly, many Kogites are growing tired of this.

They are not asking for leaders who entertain them. They are asking for leaders who understand how government actually works and who take Kogi seriously enough to fix broken systems.

This helps explain the nature of support around Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm. His supporters are rarely the loudest online. They do not rely on insults or slogans. They argue with records, timelines, empirical facts, and policy details. That restraint is not accidental. It comes from what they have seen and experienced in his private and public life.

They have seen an entrepreneur who confronted challenges not with talk, but with coordination between security agencies and investment in intelligence and infrastructure. They have seen a leader whose priority was the people's welfare—someone who treated projects as systems to be planned properly, not as one-term stunts. They have seen someone who understood that institutions must outlive individuals, whether in transport, security, or socio-economic development.

They have also watched him face political conflict without abandoning decorum, even when it came at personal cost. Court battles were fought openly. Decisions were defended publicly. Disputes were taken to institutions, not settled through noise or mob pressure.

This history shapes how his supporters—including the DFB support group, not only in Kogi but across the North Central and Nigeria—engage with the electorate.

Competence does not make good comedy. It very often does not create viral clips. But when it shows up in real life, it resembles systems: functional transport networks, robust security architecture built to scale, and institutions that survive political change. These are the hallmarks of policy designed to govern Kogi State effectively.

Charisma can distract people for a while. Caricature can win applause. But neither fixes a broken system. In a state where too much has been reduced to noise and theatrics, seriousness is beginning to feel like respect. Many Kogites want leaders who do not mock their intelligence, who do not explain away failure, and who understand that leadership is work, not theatre.

This shift is quiet. It does not trend easily. But it matters because states do not fail from lack of talk. They fail when no one knows how to do the work.

And increasingly, many Kogites are looking for leaders like Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm.

My Kogi. Your Kogi. Our Kogi.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

As we commemorate International Women's Day, His Excellency Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, 2027 PDP Governorship Aspirant, extended his warmest felicitations to the women of Kogi State, Nigeria, and indeed, the world over.

Today, we pay tribute to the unwavering resilience, unrelenting dedication, and unshakeable spirit of women, who are the very fabric of our societies.

The theme of this year's celebration, "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress," resonates deeply with my vision for a prosperous and equitable Kogi State. Women are the catalysts of change, the architects of families, and the guardians of communities. Their contributions to the socio-economic development of our state and nation are invaluable, and it is imperative that we recognize, empower, and support their endeavors.

As a leader, I believe that women's empowerment is not merely a moral imperative but a strategic necessity for the growth and development of our state. The empowerment of women is a surefire way to accelerate progress, foster inclusive governance, and build a more just and equitable society.

If entrusted with the leadership of Kogi State in 2027, I pledge to ensure that women are not only beneficiaries of governance but also active participants in the decision-making process. My administration will prioritize the inclusion of women in key positions, ensuring that their perspectives and experiences inform our policies and programs.

We will invest in initiatives that promote women's economic empowerment, enhance their access to education and healthcare, and protect their rights. We will create opportunities for women to participate in politics, entrepreneurship, and leadership, thereby strengthening their capacity to contribute to the development of our state.

As we celebrate International Women's Day, let us recommit ourselves to the cause of women's empowerment. Let us recognize the invaluable contributions of women and strive to create a society that is just, equitable, and inclusive. I call upon the women of Kogi State to join me in this journey, to seize the opportunities that lie ahead, and to shape the future of our state.

Together, we can build a Kogi State that is prosperous, peaceful, and inclusive, where every woman can thrive and reach her full potential.

Happy International Women's Day to all the women of Kogi State, Nigeria, and the world over.
