The distribution, carried out alongside M. Sani, As part of Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim’s commitment to the “Rebirth Agenda” a journey aimed at revitalising public education in the constituency if elected Insha Allah.

Hon. Abdulkadir has already developed a framework and policy on public schools, which prioritises improving learning materials and access to quality education for every child.

Speaking during the exercise, Abdulkarim Salihu AK said the donation was meant to complement the candidate’s vision and ensure that no pupil is left behind due to lack of basic educational materials. “This is our little way of supporting the Rebirth Agenda. Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim has a clear plan for public schools, and we are starting from Kabawa to show that the journey has begun,” he said.

M. Sani, who assisted in the distribution, urged the pupils to make good use of the books and remain focused on their studies. He noted that the items were shared with about 200 pupils across the school.

The beneficiaries and school officials expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and encouraging. They prayed for the success of Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim’s political ambition and the Rebirth Agenda.

Iluke Bandit Attack: When Will the Attacks End? – Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm Demands Action

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has strongly condemned the repeated bandit attacks in Iluke Community, Bunu District of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi State—particularly the recent incident that claimed the life of a vice principal at the secondary school.

“Again, our communities are bleeding. Again, we are counting bodies. Again, we are asking the same question: where is protection?” Dr. Bryhm said in a statement released by his media office.

He noted that the “repeated attacks” are no longer isolated incidents but a disturbing pattern. “A pattern that says citizens are left to defend themselves while those sworn to protect our people offer press statements instead of solutions,” he added.

He also highlighted the troubling displacement of entire communities in Dekina, Omala and other part of Igala land of the state due to ongoing attacks by bandits and kidnappers.

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm stated that the increasing insecurity in Kogi State cannot be viewed as just ordinary crime; it has taken on the characteristics of an insurgency against the people.

"I am outraged and deeply saddened by the blatant kidnapping of our fellow citizens in Aiyegunle Bunu. It is unacceptable to learn that hardworking farmers and families in Igala land have fled their ancestral homes and left the graves of their ancestors because the state has failed to protect them."

"These acts are not mere crimes; they are acts of war against the people of Kogi State by ruthless criminals. The fact that citizens would rather live as refugees in their own state than stay in their communities is a serious reflection of the current security situation."

"To the kidnappers and bandits terrorizing Kabba-Bunu, Igala land and other areas in Kogi State: You are cowards targeting innocent and defenseless people. Your time will soon come to an end."

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm called on the Kogi State Government and relevant security agencies to take immediate and effective action, including:

The immediate deployment of special security forces to Okun and other affected communities in the other region of the state to rescue victims and shut down criminal hideouts.The establishment of permanent military and security posts in vulnerable rural areas and forest corridors. Increased intelligence gathering and coordinated operations to prevent more attacks and kidnappings.

"If Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his administration cannot ensure the safety of the people who elected them, they must accept responsibility and take action. We cannot watch Kogi State fall deeper into insecurity. The government’s silence is troubling, and the people deserve answers."

Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm also expressed support for families displaced by violence in the state.

"Do not give up your land to criminals. I stand with you during this challenging time. The people of Kogi deserve safety, dignity, and the ability to live and work without fear. Your suffering is our shared suffering, and your voices will be heard."

The PDP governorship candidate urged all concerned citizens and stakeholders in Kogi State to come together and demand prompt and continuous action against insecurity. He called on both federal and state authorities to move beyond talk and take real steps to secure communities, assist victims, and restore lasting peace in the state.

The Governorship Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Kogi State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Kabir.

Dr. Bryhm called for unity, peace, and harmony in Kogi State, stressing that Eid al-Kabir is a celebration of sacrifice and love for one another.

He also urged the Muslim faithful to use this sacred period to pray for the state to reclaim its lost glory. He declared that the journey to reclaim, recover, and reset Kogi is non-negotiable, driven by a vision for development and a prosperous society for the good of the state.

Kogi State stands at a juncture where the demands of governance can no longer be met with rhetoric, expedience, or transactional politics. The citizens of Kogi require leadership anchored in moral clarity, tested by service, and measured by results. In Dr. Bryhm, that leadership presents itself not as an ambition born of convenience, but as a vocation shaped by compassion and fidelity to public trust.

Leadership divorced from empathy becomes administration without legitimacy. Dr. Folabora Adekoya Bryhm's record in private life has been defined by proximity to the people he serves. His interventions in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment have not been mediated by bureaucracy or spectacle. They have been direct, deliberate, and responsive to the lived realities of communities across Kogi's senatorial zones.

His aspiration for 2027 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party is premised on a coherent agenda: the restoration of security through community partnership; the revitalization of agriculture and enterprise as engines of employment; the realignment of education with economic opportunity; and the institution of transparent, accountable governance.

This is not a program of abstract ideals. It is a framework designed to address the material conditions of Kogi citizens while reinforcing the social contract between government and governed. Dr. FAB's leadership style—calm, inclusive, and methodical—positions him to execute such an agenda without inflaming the fault lines that have long hindered the state's progress.

The next governor of Kogi will inherit a state that is demographically young, economically underutilized, and politically weary of division. What is required is not a leader who governs for a faction, but one who governs for the whole. Dr. FAB's appeal lies precisely in his capacity to be claimed by no single constituency and to be accountable to all.

He represents continuity of service without continuity of division; ambition without alienation; and politics without the erosion of public dignity. In an era where cynicism has become the default posture toward governance, his candidacy offers a counter-narrative: that leadership can still be principled, that promises can still be kept, and that the state can still belong to its people.
