Here's my candid advice; you need a source of income which will sustain you while you learn the skill, web development is a good skill provided you have the zeal to get better at it, nothing can stop you but yourself. Since you're not yet proficient in it, I'd advice you keep making out time daily to learn while doing your job. The economy isn't favorable at this time to be unemployed, not this time.

The job will be means to sustain you to be able to learn the skill. You're never doing the teaching job for ever. The next best thing I'd suggest is to seek out internship roles in web development while teaching, save up enough money so that when the internship comes you can easily transit into that facing your passion.

It's a very lucrative skill and I know a determined mind can achieve what so ever he sets his heart to do.

Really sad, but wisdom is profitable to direct. Leaving the man will not solve the problem. What about the welfare of your kids...
The best you can do in this situation is to encourage him with love, let him understand that its really hard on you already, he should try and take up other jobs to support the home at least. Lastly, pray for him, it changes situation too.
