I believe this school is Holland college? He should consider going for a B.sc rather than a Diploma at 17, especially applying outside Canada. Given the durarion of a B.sc., his first year tuition fees should be paid and have an account opened for him where his LE will be deposited for one year. The uncle can directly send his financial and other required documents to the embassy.

From the father's financial profile, I think the funds should be seriously worked on as 800k in company account and I want to also assume his personal account has less than 8m? Even if his uncle is capable, the VO want to also understand that there is also other reliable source of funds that is financially sufficient to meet the cost of his education in Canada. At times, inflows and outflows doesn't work the magic.

If the father is able to economically demonstrate his level of establishment in Nigeria, he may not likely have any concern relating to Personal Asset and Financial Status as he's only a minor with no prior employment or work experience. Travel history will take care of itself if the other concerns are properly addressed.

Your nephew is about my daughter’s age mate and she is going in for a similar program (Foundation). Maybe I’ll share the documents I submitted but what I did was to submit her application immediately after I got my (and my wife’s) passport request for visitor visa...because there’s technically no background check that’ll be done on a 16/17 year old...only on the sponsors.
Perhaps, the fact that I already got Visa approval counted positively for her...Do your nephew’s parents have Canadian visas?
