Buhari wasn't a good president, likewise Tinubu. So nothing to celebrate about them.

PoliticsRe: When A Thief Tells You To Go To Court, Know His Brother Is In Charge(GEJ)<video by Avedonn: 3:09pm On Jun 07
I don’t really understand where former President Jonathan stands today. One day he is seen in Aso Rock with President Tinubu, and the next day he is criticizing the Tinubu administration.

Well, this latest statement of his is directed at the APC, and I completely agree with him.

Very interesting. But the poor economic policies will not allow the business to thrive.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Turaki-led PDP Defies Wike, Affirms Jonathan As Presidential Candidate by Avedonn: 3:05pm On May 30
jchioma:
He he he!

Wike has been outplayed and outclassed.

It is ATOG of war 2027:

Atiku
Tinubu
Obi
GEJ

Good luck to them and Nigerians.
The four-horse race mentioned above will only favor Atiku. This is because the vote in the Southeast will be split between GEJ and Obi. GEJ will likely win the South-South, while Tinubu will take the South-West by a small margin, as the South-West is the only region where people do not vote strictly along ethnic lines. Atiku will win the majority of Northern states, given the current mood in the North. However, that alone will not be enough to secure him the presidency. He will need a strong running mate from the South. But based on the above analysis, the election would be too close to call.
PoliticsRe: Sokoto ADC Endorses Atiku Abubakar for President by Avedonn:
Atiku will win most of the northern states. He only needs to win a few southern states, even by a small margin, to be elected.

As for Kwankwaso, the sentiment in the north is that he is working for Tinubu, so most people will be reluctant to vote for him. Given that he is not even popular outside Kano and Jigawa. Besides, Kwankwaso knows they won’t win; his real aim is to endear himself to southeastern voters in preparation for 2031.

As for Peter Obi, he is not popular in the core north. His party, the NDC, has no structure to win elections in the north. Also, leaving the ADC has damaged his image in the north, because the ADC is very popular there.

In my opinion, Obi was misled into dumping the ADC. He should have been patient and become Atiku’s running mate, which would have allowed him to inherit Atiku’s political structure in 2031. But as things stand, it will be next to impossible for him to win the 2027 election.
PoliticsRe: ADC Faction Chooses Dumebi Kachikwu As Presidential Candidate For 2027 Election by Avedonn: 8:38am On May 25
Most Nigerian politicians are delusional. Who is going to sign his presidential nomination form? Is his faction recognized by INEC? When INEC finally publishes the list of candidates, reality will dawn on him.
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan Might Pick Up PDP Presidential Nomination Form On Monday - SR by Avedonn: 9:36pm On May 10

Heart attack. It can happen to anyone.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Picks ADC Presidential Nomination Form (Pictures) by Avedonn:
Peter Obi does not fully understand the political dynamics in the North. The core northern states will not vote for a joint ticket with Kwankwaso, as they view Kwankwaso as a spoiler. Just observe carefully, how many states does Kwankwaso actually command followers in, aside from Kano and parts of Jigawa? How many politicians have defected from other parties to the NDC from the North since he left the ADC? The NDC has no grassroots presence in the North.

Atiku will also face challenges, as he may not achieve the required spread in the South. So, in my opinion, the odds favor Tinubu. Although he is not widely popular, his party has the necessary geographical spread.
PoliticsRe: Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso Are Tinubu’s Most Reliable Campaigners- Farooq Kperogi by Avedonn:
I think Obi is overestimating his popularity. The core North would rather vote for Tinubu than vote for Obi, regardless of who he picks as his running mate. Even Kwankwaso, whom Obi is counting on, is only popular in Kano and perhaps parts of Jigawa. Obi should have been patient and accepted the role of Atiku’s running mate, as that might have helped ease the sentiment the core North holds against him.

Although, the South deserves to complete the remaining four years, even if Obi were given the ticket without Atiku’s support, it would be impossible for him to win in the core North. If Obi insists on contesting under the platform of the NDC, he will not win, and that will be the end of his presidential ambition. Tinubu will win, and by 2031, the momentum will shift back to the North.

PoliticsRe: Video Of All The Attendees At The Ibadan Opposition Summit by Avedonn: 7:37am On Apr 26
People erroneously think that the APC and President Tinubu are behind the problems facing the opposition, but the real culprit is Nyesom Wike. He is the one sowing discord within the opposition parties through financial inducements to various factions.

Wike introduced the dangerous tactic of bribing the judiciary to secure favorable judgments. The real threat to our democracy is Wike, and the President is looking the other way because he believes that all of Wike's atrocities will ultimately benefit him. But one thing is certain. Wike's end will not be good.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Was A Partner, I Took Over From Myself’ – Tinubu by Avedonn:
Tinubu seems to think that Northerners are senseless, based on a stereotype. His cronies have been insulting Buhari for three years, but now that the election is around the corner, he is trying to attach himself to Buhari in order to appeal to Buhari followers, that is if he still have any.

The Buhari that Tinubu is now trying to claim as a partner is no longer popular in the North due to his failed policies. His support base has eroded.

As of today, the person poised to replace Buhari’s past glory is Nasir El-Rufai. Northerners love the man and see him as upright. That is the man Tinubu should have courted, but it’s too late.

This is not an excuse. If the Police job is not sustaining their need, they should resign and take up another job or venture in to business or farming.
FamilyRe: The 6 Stages Of Marriage And How Couples Cope With The Changing Dynamics by Avedonn: 8:22pm On Apr 06
Not all marriages go through the listed stages. Some couples have already experienced all of the mentioned stages while they were dating, unless they were pretending with each other during that time, or they got married after only a few months of dating.

That said, I believe most marriages fail because of boredom. Doing the same things every day for years, without any spontaneity, kills the thrill.
PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Didn’t Leave Airport During Jos Visit – Onanuga by Avedonn: 1:46pm On Apr 03
Damage control. I’m certain that if not for political reasons, he wouldn’t have visited the state. A few weeks ago, 24 people were killed by Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri, but the president didn’t even care to visit and console the victims.

That said, even if the opposition were in power, they would act the same way the president did. The only person who might act differently is Peter Obi. Even if he might be pretending, at least he would mingle with the masses. But I really don’t think Atiku or the rest would act any better than the president in such a situation.
PoliticsRe: INEC Discontinues Recognition Of David Mark-led ADC by Avedonn: 8:05pm On Apr 01
I think Tinubu is using Jaz on Nigerians. Upon all the tyranny Nigerians are unusually quiet. Could this be due the high rate of poverty or hunger?

If you don't see anything wrong in the change of name then you are not serious.
Later Rauf Aregbesola talked about how him and dokubo met in mecca during Hajj.

Uwazuruike also took oath and converted but he can't change his name because igbos will understand and point him out.

Did Uwazuruike really convert to Islam?

Nigeria police are creating unnecessary enemies for themselves. There are still good ones among them though.
