Assuming that you can get to 88 MPH in New York City traffic, this cab will get you across town before you even left. To promote the Nooka fashion line, Mike Lubrano converted DeLoreans into working taxis that look like Back to the Future time machines. (Link | Via)

NOTE: this bugatti veyron is actually owned by fasion designer Bijan. The picture was taken outside his shop on Rodeo Drive in LA. He is famous for his collection of black and yellow supercars that he showcases outside of his botique on the street. (Thanks, William C.)

Celebrities / Tiger Woods To Remarry Ex-wife With 350 Million Dollar Anti-cheating Clause by avenjahh(m): 11:06am On Jan 18, 2013
The shamed sportsman, who was exposed for his serial cheating behind Elin’s back in 2009, is desperate to win her back, a magazine has claimed.

He has offered a $200million pre-nup to the stunning Swede, the National Enquirer reports.

And she is said to be considering the proposal — but only if he includes a $350million anti-cheating clause.

Elin, 33 — who had children Samantha, five, and three-year-old Charlie with the ace — won a $110million settlement when she divorced love rat Woods.

Reunion rumours ... but Elin demanded $350m anti-cheating clause
Now she is said to feel the new deal, worth more than half of Woods’ $600million, would be enough to keep him from cheating again.

A source told the magazine: “Tiger didn’t even balk at the demand. Even though his accountants think he’s crazy, he’s ready to sign the pre-nup and set a wedding date.

“The guy has never recovered from being dumped by Elin. He’s dated a lot of models and bimbos but none of them were more than a one-night stand.”

The couple were divorced in 2010 after it was revealed Woods cheated on Elin with a string of beauties — including New York socialist Rachel Uchitel.

Divorced ... Elin dumped Woods following cheating revelations
Elin is currently rebuilding a $12million estate in North Palm Beach in Florida to create her dream home.

She has dated several men, including a wealthy financier.

But the Enquirer claims Woods got down on one knee to pop the question at Christmas and even presented Elin with a ring.

It also reported the couple are being intimate again, with a source claiming: “Tiger stopped by Elin’s rental house one afternoon when their kids were out with a nanny and they had sex for the first time since the split.

“It took them both by surprise but they’ve continued to find alone time when they’re both at their homes in florida.

Foreign Affairs / Corleone Apologises For Decades Of Mafia Murders by avenjahh(m): 1:06am On Jan 17, 2013
Corleone apologises for decades of Mafia murders
Corleone, the Sicilian hill town that is synonymous with the Mafia through books and films, has asked forgiveness for the murders, shootings and intimidation committed by its godfathers.

The mayor of Corleone apologised to victims of the Mafia's vendettas, bombings and killings on behalf of the inhabitants of the town

The appeal was made by the mayor of the town on the 20th anniversary of the arrest of a Corleone-born mafia leader, Toto Riina, nicknamed "The Beast" for his ruthlessness and brutality.
Leoluchina Savona apologised to victims of the Mafia's vendettas, bombings and killings on behalf of the inhabitants of the town, which was immortalised by The Godfather book and subsequent films starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino.
"I apologise in the name of all the people of Corleone. I ask forgiveness for the blood that was spilled," the mayor said on Monday during a ceremony to mark the anniversary of Riina's arrest.
"To the Mafia, I ask you to leave this land, to abandon the struggle. I ask them to admit defeat, to surrender."
Politicians, police and ordinary people killed by the Mafia, including prominent prosecutors Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone, who were blown up in bomb attacks in 1992, did not die in vain.

"In the 20 years since the arrest of Toto Riina, their blood reminds us all that there can only be one path to choose in this war (that of legality)," she said.
Once the "capo di tutti capi" (boss of bosses) of the powerful Corleonesi faction of the Mafia, Riina is serving multiple life-sentences after being convicted of several murders, including the assassination of rival gangsters.
He was succeeded by Bernardo "The Bulldozer" Provenzano, who in turn was arrested in 2006 after more than 40 years as a fugitive.
References to The Godfather in Corleone are everywhere – a bar on the main street offers a bitter aperitif called "Don Corleone Amaro", while just across the road, the walls of a pastry shop are covered in black and white pictures of Brando and Pacino in scenes from the films

Celebrities / What's Rita Ora Doing On A Beach With Snoop Dogg? by avenjahh(m): 12:35am On Jan 17, 2013
Rita Ora certainly knows how to get tongues wagging.

She Tweeted pictures of herself on the beach in Thailand with Snoop Dogg, clad in a white bikini, but didn't say what she was doing there with him.

The caption 'Boooom #boddybambambam #tornapart smiley' which she Tweeted alongside it was hardly illuminating.

While it's always possible they just fancied a holiday together, the snaps have sparked speculation that Rita, 22, is making music with Snoop.

Given that he has recently reinvented himself as a reggae artist called Snoop Lion, that could be interesting.

“[Kourtney] said, ‘in the old days, and maybe we should try this one sister should babysit all the kids, so I can go out or vice-versa, and whichever sister is babysitting should just breastfeed all the kids that are there,’” Kim recalled.

Kourtney, who has two children, Mason three and Penelope, five months, said she didn’t suggest they try it but that it was a good idea.

“No, that doesn’t freak me out,” she said about feeding her siblings’ kids with her own boobs. And vice versa.

Lol this is just funny, one would think this weird.
Would you do this for your sister or even allow your wife?

It may be true but we need facts
Sports / Who Is The Greatest Boxer Of All-time Muhammad Ali Or Manny Pacquiao. A Debate by avenjahh(m): 9:23pm On Jan 15, 2013
The accomplishments of Muhammad Ali:
Few decades ago, the planet witnessed the heroics of Muhammad Ali in the boxing ring. Ali’s rise to the pinnacle of the sport of boxing was mercurial and truly inspirational. He was an immovable force with his gloves, dominated almost his opponents that comes on his way, and hugged the boxing limelight during his heydays. Ali is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion, who once carried the name Cassius Clay when not yet converted to Muslim. He is considered to be one of the best boxers ever in the world. Many boxing fans and pundits all over the world even consider him as the greatest boxer that had ever lived. He was the 1960 Rome Summer Olympics gold medallist in the light heavyweight category and became the first ever boxer to win the most prestigious lineal heavyweight championship (the best ever on his weight category) not once, not twice, but yes three times.

Muhammad Ali's famous or popular quotations or quotes:
“It will be a killa... and a chilla... and a thrilla... when I get the gorilla in Manila"

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."

"Rope a dope."

Muhammad Ali showing off is tenacious fighting form as he decked one of his opponents during his prime days...
Carrying the moniker “The Greatest,” Ali figured in several memorable fights in the annals of boxing history. He battled Joe Frazier thrice and faced George Foreman once. His dramatic trilogy with Frazier started in a boxing bout dubbed as the “Fight of the Century,” last March 8, 1971. True enough the fight last the distance at 15th round with Frazier living up to his expectation and inflicting Ali his first ever loss as a professional boxer. But Ali was not to be discouraged as he got the chance to face his nemesis again by hacking out a hard-fought split decision over Ken Norton in 1973. The second fight between these two boxing behemoths saw the hungry Ali winning the bout via unanimous decision to even the score at one win a piece for both pugilists. And last but definitely not the least, the third bout between Ali and Frazier was held in Manila, Philippines in January 28, 1974 as the match was called “Thrilla in Manila”. Ali which is known for his trash talking throughout his career, even mocked at his opponent saying, “It will be a killa... and a chilla... and a thrilla... when I get the gorilla in Manila." Ali prevailed in fourteenth round cementing his status as one of the best boxers of all-time.

His match with Foreman was also very popular and also much anticipated. The fight between Foreman and Ali was dubbed as the “Rumble in the Jungle,” and was held in Kinshasa, Zaire last October 30, 1974. Ali was the underdog on this match but Lady Luck seemed to be smiling on him as he pulled one of the greatest upsets ever in the boxing history. Using his so-called “The Rope A Dope” tactics, Ali leaned on the ropes, shellacking himself with a tight defense and went onto absorb punches to his body. Ali also popularized the quotation, “"float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,” referring to his uncanny techniques while fighting in the ring, that is, employing high-octane offense coupled with a very tough defense. All in all, Ali compiled a superb record of 56 wins, 5 losses and 37 of his wins was by way of knockouts (KOs).

Manny Pacquiao... the Filipino boxing ring icon...
The world truly was fascinated with Ali, but there is a name in boxing that also merits great consideration as not only one of the boxing greatest fighters but also the premier boxer in the planet to date. The boxer I am talking all about is Manny Pacquiao, the Philippine’s pride and hero. Pacquiao is a not just a work in progress but truly a class of his own. He stripped many world champions of their title belts and his illustrious list of victims falling prey to his sheer strength, sharp wits, lightning speed movements, variety of potent combinations and powerful punches, continues to grow. Larger than life it may seems, he toppled many great names in boxing like Mexicans Marco Antonio Barrera, the boxer with a granite chin Eric Morales, and the resilient Juan Manuel Marquez, and bigger and heftier opponents such as future Hall of Famer Oscar Dela Hoya, the British sensation Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, the durable David Diaz, and just recently Joshua Clottey. He could’ve earned at least 25 Million dollars if only if his fight with scared Floyd Mayweather Jr. pushes through.

Here is a list of great accomplishments Manny Pacquiao accumulated in the boxing ring:
1. The current WBO World Welterweight reigning champion and The Ring’s World Junior Welterweight champion, and the world’s number 1 pound-for-pound boxer by The Ring and BoxRec.

2. Pacquiao was formerly the IBO World Junior Welterweight champion, WBC World Lightweight champion, WBC World Super Featherweight champion, IBF World Super Bantamweight champion, and WBC World Flyweight champion. Additionally, the Filipino champion is also the former The Ring, World Featherweight and World Super Featherweight champion.

3. Pacquiao is the first ever pugilist in history to bag seven world titles in seven different weight divisions. Moreover, he is the only boxer to win the much coveted and prestigious lineal championship in four various weight divisions. And the lists of great achievements doesn’t end their Pacquiao was declared as the 2000-2009 "Fighter of the Decade" by the Boxing Writers Association of America. Pacquiao improved his record to 8 world division titles in as many weight divisions.

4. Pacquiao holds a record of 51 Wins (38 by way of Knockout), 3 Loses, 2 Draws. Better winning percentage than Ali.

Updates

5. Just collared the WBC Super Welterweight World Title at the expense of Antonio Margarito. To become only the boxer in the planet to annex eight (cool world boxing titles in as many weight divisions.

6. He is also listed as the number one pound-for-pound boxer in the world by sporting news and boxing websites, including Sports Illustrated, ESPN, NBC Sports, Yahoo! Sports and About.com.

7. Won numerous citations and awards already.

Outside the ring

8. He is the current congressman on his native province Saranggani,

If the accomplishments of the two will speak who is the greatest boxer of all time, Manny Pacquiao has the distinct edge between them.

Author's Note: This is my personal opinion....i may be wrong but please dont be sentimental.

Entertainment / Hackers Sentence For Michael Jacckson Music Theft by avenjahh(m): 1:19pm On Jan 14, 2013
A British court sentenced two hackers to 100 hours of community service on Friday for stealing a treasure trove of unreleased music — including Michael Jackson tracks — from the U.S. servers of Sony Music Entertainment.

Officials said that music aficionados James Marks, 27, and James McCormick, 26, used their home computers to access Sony's servers and scour them for Jackson-related material. The pair downloaded nearly 8,000 files, including completed or partial tracks, artwork, and videos relating to Jackson and other unspecified Sony artists.

The precise nature of the unreleased material hasn't been made clear — Sony refused to comment on the case. A statement from Britain's Serious and Organized Crime Agency identified some of the material as stems, which are audio tracks that can be used in mixes and overdubs.

Marks and McCormick —who met online — were arrested in May 2011 after Sony alerted U.K. law enforcement to the breach. Chat logs recovered from their computers showed that they planned to sell or trade some of the files.

The theft could have been damaging for Sony had the music been released to the Web. The company has a seven-year deal, worth up to $250 million, to sell unreleased recordings by Jackson, who died in 2009 at the age of 50.

Marks and McCormick initially pleaded their innocence in public, releasing a statement saying that they "would never do anything to harm the legacy that is Michael Jackson's music." But the pair later pleaded guilty to two counts of "unauthorized access to computer material" in September.

Their community service order was handed down at central England's Leicester Crown Court on Friday.

This i hope could start in Nigeria, those Alaba boys would have changed by now.

Romance / What Are Friends For by avenjahh(m): 1:06pm On Jan 13, 2013
You know the phrase: "That's what friends are for"? It's been rolling around in my mind for a while. And in the same way that a word loses its meaning when you repeat it again and again, this phrase has been thawing and reshaping the more I think about it. Sometimes it sounds definitive – a revelation, sweet. Sometimes passive aggressive. Sometimes just an oral plug used to fill awkward gaps in conversation. After a critical comment about leggings. "That's what friends are for!" Tight-lipped over a godson's nappy. Other times.

It also resonated when I finished a new book called How Should a Person Be? by Canadian writer Sheila Heti. She calls it a "novel from life", which means, mainly, that all the people in it are her friends and most of the things that happen are things that happened to her – the main character is called Sheila, and she is a Canadian writer. But the most interesting thing about the book, for me, was her method of writing – she recorded years of conversations with her best friend and then wrote them up, folding the transcriptions into the novel.

Aside from the art, I can see the appeal. The attempt to stand outside a conversation and then a friendship. And, in doing so, anchoring the moment on paper and wringing all extra emotion from it – all the hunger for lunch that may have been gnawing at you while she talked, or silent memories you were having about her hypocrisy, drunkenness, family – so you can read it rather than live it.

But the effect of reading the sometimes mundane thoughts of someone else's best friend, printed as if psalms, is that we realise their wonderfulness is subjective. Maybe only we believe our friends are worth listening to. Maybe our friends are talking only to us. Sheila slides through the book trying to learn how to live, but rather than the books she reads or places she goes, seems to find the most answers from listening to her best friend.

It's something I hadn't thought about before – that, instead of being a mirror of you, or simply someone you tell stuff to, your friend is really your hero. We name Olympians and educated actors as our role models, past politicians, dead authors, but in fact, as Heti illustrates, it's our friends who guide us, and this is a facet of friendship rarely acknowledged.

It's our friends who teach us how a person should be. Rather than in rooms, we learn in corridors. Rather than in the lessons themselves, it's in the walks from class to class that we do our learning. Hearing what our friend thinks is funny, or seeing how she reacts to irritation, to pain, shapes who we become far more than the facts we weld together.

My friend Alice, for example, keeps accidentally showing me how to be a grown-up. Last week she went early to the doctors and didn't leave until they agreed that her mum, weeks into a crippling headache, needed to be admitted to hospital. And then she sat with her and made something happen, and is, as I write, working with a neurologist to reassess the medication she believes is hurting her.

When I was in a similar position in the past, ill, I just waited for them to soothe me. Now I know this is what you're meant to do. Calmly, boredly, sort stuff out, skipping lunch and trolleying tea through slippery halls.

Or friends who have left failing relationships, leaping bravely out into their 30s from a flat where love is dwindling, and redesigning their lives in the process. Politics / President Goodluck's 2015 Election Poster. Who Is Lying? by avenjahh(m): 7:35pm On Jan 12, 2013
Recent stories have been flying around the country about our president already having posters around the country, even when our president is yet to achieve anything reasonable in this term, to be quite frank he has already denied having any involvement in this current drama. But truly whom should i trust, a politician or a footballer. Just like the case of May D and P square, rihanna and Chris brown, tonto dike, iyanya and the Nelson girl, sure non can be trusted for this recent shows.
In my quick assessment of this whole drama, i believe my president has the right to showcase his posters if he has done well, but when you have done nothing, how can you have posters and kick starting a campaign in this shaky way. From meeting Pastor Adeboye for blessings to releasing lousy photos, it is obvious we are heading for another funny plan to rode to the top like before.
It is time for us to realise that we need sincere leadership, we dont need leaders that will keep on whining that the were forced to rule us.
One person is lying here and we all know the truth. We are watching you guys on 3D
