God bless you Larry37 and manie for taking out time to explain these things to us. That is IGCSE and CIE.

My friend finally explained like you did. One is given a study pack and submits d exams. So A grade schools are our best bet to get this training. Thanks.

Avicky, pls how recognised is NOUN masters in education. I have pgde (NTI) and I am not too sure Unilag accepts it(NTI). Do schools respect NOUN masters in education?
Have you gone to inquire from unilag whether they accept NTI's PGDE?

NOUN graduates are recognized in the country and beyond.

Since you graduated from Oau, you should be familiar with the terrain. Don't wait for vacancies. Just start spreading your cvs in schools around.

Phonetikkks:
Nice and impressive contribution!

However, the pronunciation "leftenant" is actually British. But in recent times, we hear popular American pronunciations accepted in British phonetics. Americans say "lootenant".

In addition,

Vowel ---- vowl
Jewel --- jewl
Counselling ---- cowns lin (not "cown seh lin" )

Cheers.
Yes, you are right. Lewtenant is us.

Just like either - even bbc newscasters do say ieder instead of uk aider.

Machete is masheti

Vicky darling, howday?

Was thinking of you when I briefly browsed the Literature Section. Was thinking of adding a paragraph or two to any story there but after looking at three, I felt so discouraged, I just had to leave. Standards have indeed fallen over there.

I'm good though, thanks for asking. Happy Sunday. smiley
Na so. That's why I'm no more a regular there.
I miss your write-ups though.
