smartkester:Mr. smartkester 😅 Upstream refers to the stage of petroleum exploration and production. This phase includes activities such as seismic operations, exploration, development, production, calculating royalties, and transitioning to midstream operations. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) oversees all upstream activities. Midstream encompasses hydrocarbon processing and transportation. Key functions in this segment include the construction and operation of refineries, production of lubricants and petrochemicals, as well as pipeline transportation, trucking, and crude oil terminal operations. Downstream involves the distribution of petroleum products, depot operations, pricing, retailing, and marketing. The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) regulates both midstream and downstream activities. When we refer to NUPRC, we are speaking of the upstream division of the former Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), which was established by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) in August 2021. NMDPRA refers to the merging of three defunct regulatory agencies following the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021 1. Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) 2. Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF) 3. Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Midstream and Downstream Divisions Finally, NUPRC offers a slightly better salary and benefits than NMDPRA ![]() |
smartkester:You're right, NNRA may not be considered an A-rated agency, I think they fall into the B category They do pay upfront, although I don’t have the latest figures on that. I've heard that, while they're not quite like the A-rated agencies, their remuneration and benefits are typically better than expected ![]() Furthermore, NNRA plans to recruit 100 people in the first quarter. I'm not sure of the current status of this recruitment, but I know it should be completed within the remaining five weeks of the first quarter ![]() In conclusion, several A and B-rated agencies also pay upfront, including NUPRC, NMDPRA, NNPC, NCMDB, PTDF, OGFZA, SEC, NDIC, DBN, NEITI, NSIA, CBN After confirmation, NCC, NERC, NBET, NNRA, NIMASA, NPA, BOI, FMBN, AMCON, NDDC, NEXIM, NIRSAL, BPP, BPE, DSS, DIA, NIA, and the Mighty NLNG, regardless of its ownership status ![]() I wish everyone here success. May Almighty Allah grant us our heart's desires and fulfil our requests 🤲 Ramadan Kareem. 😊🤗

AnonyEv:It’s a pity that this forum has turned into a stagnant space for discussion. Among the members, Hussen240 stands out as a reliable source of information. While it’s true that many individuals are prone to deception, some genuinely strive to convey the truth as much as possible, and Hussen240 is certainly one of those individuals. Most people here are familiar with a prominent figure known as Alhaji CP Usman Shugaba, who is the Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO) to the President, Just last week, he shared 5 FIRS APLs with his associates.

Some senators are really trying ![]() Sen. Eteng Williams Facilitates Over 40 Federal and Political Jobs for Cross River Central Constituents in Two Years In less than two years at the National Assembly, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, has facilitated employment opportunities for over 40 constituents across various federal ministries, agencies, and parastatals. According to verified records, about 40 indigenes of the district have been successfully employed in notable federal establishments, while others have secured political appointments and support roles under the senator’s structure. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Upstream, Senator Williams leveraged his position to secure placements for constituents in grade “A” agencies such as the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), among others. Beyond these, several constituents have also been enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, and Federal Fire Service, reinforcing the senator’s commitment to youth empowerment and employment creation. In addition, Senator Williams has facilitated the appointment of three constituents as Senior Legislative Aides (SLAs) to the offices of the Senate President and Deputy Senate President, respectively. Complementing these achievements are the constituency officers and political appointees across the six local government areas of Cross River Central, who are on the senator’s monthly payroll and serve as liaisons between his office and the grassroots.

Binsalmad:I don't think it's true. More importantly, the agency, especially the NMDPRA, is running at a deficit, finding it difficult to have resources to pay salaries and has not even done recruitment in the last 3-4 years because of the financial challenges and difficulties they are facing.
