Financing a business as an angel investor is the worst possible mistake a person can make in Nigeria because an average Nigerian is very dishonest!

Personally I would strongly advise against releasing your money to fund a business venture in Nigeria without the added comfort of a strong collateral.

Business finance by angel investors is a viable means for start-ups and small business to obtain cheap and fast funding in other countries but in Nigeria it's the best way to burn your money if you try it as an investor

Well I have followed you for quite some time now and you appear to be one who has totally given up on investing in Nigerian start ups which I don't have a problem with but going around poisoning people's mind because of your experience is quite bad. I mean if there is a legal binding agreement with sureties, why can't you take up a legal issue with the person and reach out to the sureties. As much as their are bad eggs, it breaks my heart when I see people trying to sell their dreams and one person because of their experience is discrediting them. A Yoruba adage state that if you close your eyes for a bar person to pass, the good will also pass and you won't know.

Another problem with the so called Nigerian investors is they act like demigods because they gave you money, many will say they want their money recovered in a year, when it's not a ponzi scheme, coupled with ridiculous terns and conditions.
