This is highly interesting. I've always been against NYSC solely for the reason that it's a time waster and has long outlived its purpose and relevance. Now new reasons why this obselete scheme should be scrapped keeps on materializing daily.

I think Fg needs to review it, it cost alot to keep youths for 21days ,especially in this recession period, certain aspects of nysc arent bad tho, but the scheme needs a review nd overhauling asap..

Goodevening my people, how did ur Saturday go, soo much to gist, dunno where to start sef.....

oya legoo, so my platoon (9) was on duty today nd i voluntarily agreed to wrk in the kitchen nd was grouped to wrk in d evenin for dinner, so we got to kitchen , 6guys,10girls, the cooks made d rice, d girls washed the meat for tommorrow while d guys removed dirts from fish, d meal was for 2k+ corpers, I was impressed by the level of professionalism, we had to wash our hands, hygiene conscious, rinsed wt clean water, we have abt 5boreholes on camp.....we washed coolers nd bowls nd what hv u, so it was time to serve, i served on point 1, and while serving the food, the Nigerian factor came in nd people got me angry, people dat hv neva said hi started hailing because of food,people wld hv marked my face today sef, I alwas believe wats good for A is good for B irrespective of who u are...I alwas wonder why people are so spoilt when it comes to food, its same effect 1kg of rice and 2kg of rice wl hv in ur body, 1 meat nd 2meats -same, I dnt believe I came to camp to eat and belle full always, I cnt beg for an extra spoon nd an extra fish or meat, I believe in equality...I made more enemies serving because i dint wantu compromise, Corpers need to realise that FG budgeted #100 for breakfast, #100 for lunch, #100 for dinner , #200 for cleanin of toilets,bathroom for each corp member i.e #500 per day for a corp member....Nysc is only trying as much as it can within its reach to feed corpers well.....and some food mongers wl be shinning eyes on food nd abuse anyone who refuses to gv extra meat or spoon of food as if 1spoon determines if u wl die or not.....anyways it was cool serving, working in d kitchen.....in another news, etisalat sponsored Miss Bold nd Beautiful, my platoon came 3rd nd dere was a raffle draw wt different prizes nd money, nd 1 babcock guy in my room bought 10k raffle ticket prior to the draw tonight...on top the baba's 10k , e no chop #5 sef....we just dey wash am for ere.......10k ticket ..who does that!!! Only Babcock people ni.

As in, na d first time in my life i go see person struggle wt soldier, but na camp condition cause am, if dem go report na d soldier go dey fault but if na outside d guy for don miss by now.

The only thing I hate more than boring lectures are queues. So na to carry all my needed cash sure pass. Something I hate doing. #teamCashless#

Aydeluxe, Are there POS machines available? Do you advise we take all our money at once or we make use of the AT machine?

With what i experienced today ehn, u myt do well carrying all ur cash if u hate to queue up for hrs....but just mayb enuf atm nd matured pple wld be in stream 2.

Lagos camp dey mak....soldiers no to get mouth ere, naso we don queue for lik 1hr30mins under d sun to withdraw frm atm machine, pple dey do padi padi, one person go colt lik 4atm cards to hlp...as per me no dey for padi padi wen it comes to morals i no gree...same wt guys arnd me....frustration don nab us die, one soldier con withdraw(as expected , he no queue, fine, he withdrew his money nd was abt collecting atm from one guy (e sure say na because dat one wan buy am drink). naso dis portharcourt boy change am for d soldier oo...say d soldier no fit do anytin ...d soldier sef con dey shout, e no fit do anytin, dem just dey hala for themselve...if to say na outside, mehn d ph guy go dey guard room now but as per camp, soldiers no fit touch corpers...

I really hope this isnt true...over ere in lagos, our soldiers are friendly nd understanding, nd even d officials, people are allowed to go home once they complain of bin sick .....

Just to chip this in......lagos camp iyana ipaja is just few minutes from Muritala Mohammed Airport Terminal 1 &2 ikeja...so we are visited wt the presence of about 6planes within an hour.....descending fast and visible enuf to read whats on it....the international flight route is closer to d camp than the local flight route....atleast hv seen lufthansa, Dhl, Ethiopian , Qatar, Emirates amongst others.....

The major good thing in lagos camp is that the camp dey bubble frm morning till night, jams everywhere nd friendly soldiers.....

People dey miss parade ere oo, na to buy cardboard, put on duty on top, as per any platoon on duty no dey do drills nd parade...

I dont understand this people sef, se to serve my fatherland na to dey behave lik soldier ni, make dem just let us chill, i don tire for this parade, drills sef....i barely sleep up to 4hours a day , me wey dey sleep lik 10hrs for house...My eyes just dey see triple for parade ground this morning, people don dey give excuse dey run home sef.........drinking is massive supported in camp oo...come nd see corpers nd soldiers drinking anyhow

So after the swearing in ceremony today,we were paid transport allowance of #1500.

I have bin trying to upload a sample of d day to day camp activities (timetable)..but all to no avail......a typical day starts wt the blowing of d biggle by 4:30am for all Corpers to proceed to d parade ground,we take national anthem nd nysc anthem then we take the meditation by the Platoon on duty, Muslim students go for their prayers, Christians hv praise nd worship nd prayer, the camp director gives her talk, then we have fitness exercise (ere in lagos, djs dey, so we have our fitness exercise wt hiphop songs, too much ginger), in between by 6, we stand attention for the flag to be taken up, same is down by 6 in d evenin ,to bring it down...we continue wt drills by d platoon instructor, after which we leave to freshen up nd take breakfast, then assemble bck at d sound of d biggle arnd 9 for lectures, talks or wat hv u till 2pm, then we go for lunch till 4, and then come bck for drills,rehearsals nd co till 5:30, then sports, dinner nd lights out by 10:30pm......

Dont mind them, some camps have overzealous officials. I even planned to take only certificate but i have decided to take both cert and statement of result. I wont give those oversabi people any reason to send me back home.

In Lagos camp ere, an official accepted transcript from a guy, but she warned d guy nt to mention anytin so as nt to get her into wahala....na only certificate i use

Thats how Apostle Joshua Selman graced us with his presence yesternyt and today at N.C.C.F lagos camp....very impactful

Hian! Which Lagos camp you dey? My close friend is also in Iyana-Ipaja but na different report she give me oh. In her own words, she said that Lagos camp is "dead", everywhere is dirty, no space to charge and power is not constant. Which one I go take now
