WHAT TO DO WHEN A PROSPECT SAYS I WILL GET BACK TO YOU. when customers make this statement often times the following objections or thoughts are on their mind. 1)pricing (Not sure I can afford it now) 2)The question your expert status (I am not sure I trust you enough or I am not sure I will get this result you're promising) 3)Your product won't work for people like me, maybe for some others. 4)Not sure I need this right now. 5)I won't hand time to do this now, I am really busy. Pricing: when you hear this sort of statement from your prospect, the first thing to do is show them the value of what they are buying by emphasizing what problem it will solve for them. Compare what you are selling to something they would ordinarily buy. Eg you could say (if your prospect is a unilateral student), and your product is 5, 000naira. This bonus deal would work for almost anybody and everybody, remember black Friday in Lagos right, you can create that experience for your small business so that customers can rush your product like dodo (fried plantain). 2)Expert status( I am not sure I trust you enough, this is the time to whip out your testimonials., if you're a startup and you don't have any, do free services and get testimonials, this is the magic you need to respond to this kind of objection. The best way to display a testimonial is actually to do a video testimonial or one with the client's picture attached to his social media handles attached so that your prospects can relate to its authenticity. .. You could also offer a preview of what they hope to get. So you have a business or want to start a business and you’re worried about how to get yourself and your business in front of your target audience. In my last post, I talked about EXPOSURE, VISIBILITY, POSITIONING & GETTING YOUR CUSTOMERS TO BUY. Let's expand these points. EXPOSURE: Beyond social media exposure; you need to establish yourself as a thought-leader in your field starting from your current community. Do your church members, neighbours, colleagues, friends know about your business? If someone should ask for a recommendation in your field, will they call your name? To expose yourself/business to your target audience beyond social media; talk about what you do to your first line of contact (family & friends). Secondly, identify your target customers and approach them physically with a proposal introducing yourself/business and offer them a FREE trial. Few may say "no" but at least 3 out of 10 will say "yes". The other 7 that said "no"; what you have done is to give exposure to your business by letting them know that there is someone like you in that location offering a product/service that will be beneficial to them. Give them time, then go again with positive reviews from the other 3 companies. There is a 60% possibility they will say "YES" this time. VISIBILITY: you cannot sit in your house, office or shop and expect that your business will be visible to a wider audience. Gaining visibility in the 21st century will require some digital influence and lots of networking. Therefore, you must be DELIBERATE about connecting with like minds. Search on eventbrite or BellaNaija for monthly events in your area of interest and prepare to attend. ConnectNigeria also holds monthly business mixers to bring business owners together with target customers. They host Africa's largest business fair every year; it will hold in February for 2018 so start planning to attend. When going for these events, please go with your business card. At these events, when people ask what you do, PLEASE don't say "I sew clothes" or "I do business". Sell the solution you offer not how you solve the problem; you carry value & money gravitates towards value so how you introduce this value matters. I don't say I'm a digital marketing strategist; I say "I help businesses grow their brand, attract target customers & develop an integrated digital strategy for increased revenue". The next question will be "so how do you do this"? The 1st response doesn't prompt the person asking you to continue the conversation but the 2nd response creates a curiosity in the person's mind and they will automatically want to know more. Just like that, the person picks interest and starts thinking of how to work with you. I've met many clients with this selling tip. Also, you must be INTENTIONAL about everything you post on social media. Participate in Twitter chats that sync with where your target customers hang out. Volunteer to contribute to top blogs in your field or for the high profile companies. Also let people know that you are open to being interviewed and request that it be promoted on social media. One tip that can never be overemphasized is updating your bio on social social media; you can no longer have bios that say "Sexy Diva" or "Man's Not Hot". Maintain consistency with your social media handles; don't be @cakesguru for 6 months and then change it to @lagosbestcakes, you'll confuse your audience. Lastly, no matter how small - put yourself in "World Wide Web" (www); get a website or blog for your business. You can start with a FREE blog and upgrade to a website as your business grows. Yesterday I was triggered by my spirit to visit my grandma so I[b][/b][b][/b] obeyed my spirit, immediately I get there and I sat down to start watching tv immediately we get there and I sat down to start watching tv I saw an advert on this normal television station (NTA) which reveal a powerful lesson to me actually, it was a normal advert by Nta management the advert goes thus the management publicize a training program they will be having I don't remember the date they will be training people that have the interest (and I know a lot of folks will be interested in the training) on how to use their phone to capture different news and post online and they are charging freaking 100k for the training when I saw the advert I was amazed that wow this is what a lot of people on my friend list knows and they still complain about not making money one thing that is sure is that what they will be teaching that day cannot be compared to what you know what limit a man is what he has and his using not what he didn't have you cannot be begging or keep looking for money when you have money Even God will see you as a bad person you have all it take to make things happen what is stopping you is you yourself not any resources you don't need to have all the necessary skill to make things happen fo yourself just have the basic ones which i surely know you have Okay now ask yourself what is stopping you? you will discover you are the one stopping yourself as I said earlier you cannot be begging for money when you have money (you will never get it) Don't be surprised "I always tell people money is not the physical thing you hold" Value is money the number of value you have is directly proportional to the amount of money you have when you don't have the value you don't have money because it is the value that brings money Go out and start using what you have that thing you have is enough to make things happen challenge yourself that I will do this and do it success is only for a man that can make things happen at the right time whatever the circumstance might be Think like a leader, not a reader, you've consumed another thing again the question now is Will you step out to take the massive steps and action needed?
