okeyz: bros , shell is recruiting now and i think u r qualified for one of the positions, go to WWW.shell.com/careers. apply fast@ Okeyz, tnx a lot for the information and encouragement. I have actually applied to these companies and written some aptitude tests. Expecting to be called up for interviews hopefully, just that it takes a long time for these companies to complete a recruitment cycle, as usual. MC LION: I got text 4rm dragnet inviting me 4 Chevron aptitude test. Pls who has an idea abt d test,wot n wot do they ask? To answer your question, dragnet apt test usually comprises of Numerical, Verbal n Abstract questions. |

Hello guys, can someone pls help? I have Bachelor's and Masters degrees in Petroleum Engineering. I came back into the country from the U.S after my Masters program abt 3 months ago. Am yet to find a job. I have a year work experience in drilling engineering and a year in the downstream. I can work in Reservoir engineering and Production engineering roles as well. What kind of a cheap scam is this? If you claim to have a chance of helping 10 people to SRD and you are throwing it open to d public, does that mean you don't have up to ten friends who took the test? Useless scammer!!! |

mr GrAb: is there any who have gone through the shell recruitment process, is there going to be another test or we should expect to be invited 4 interviews.. I cant wait 4 d results to be out.Successful candidates would be invited for interviews and then medicals if successful. |

From experience, in abt 90 percent of cases, pple only leave abroad to come settle down in Nigeria because they do not have stay or d necessary permanent permit to work and save like they would do here in nigeria. To buttress what PortHarcourtBoy has said, its difficult and not encouraging, most especially to Nigerians wt student visas abroad to work, save and plan one's life wt dish washing or security jobs. They are all waste of time and opportunity. I have a similar experience, waited a year after my Masters Petroleum Engineering program in d U.S, hoping to get a job bt none came. I just arrived back to naija abt three months ago and am hopeful that I shld get something soon. Afterall, ds na my papa land! 3 Likes |

The clash which has left the market deserted, had the market police station, a number of stores and at least 10 cars destroyed set ablaze. The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state police, Mr Tambari Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said five people including the man who led the arson have been arrested. Bodija market before the Clash According to the Commissioner, the incident started on Thursday night when two members of the Hausa community engaged in a scuffle over a woman, adding that one of them was stabbed in the scuffle. “The suspect was said to have run away while on Thursday morning he was arrested.” The commissioner said some members of the community, who were armed with dangerous weapons and charms, came to the station on Friday morning and insisted that the suspect should be released to them. He said that their request was turned down by the policemen on duty, who suggested that the suspect be left for interrogation. “It was at point that one of the Hausa men brought out his sword to stab one of the policemen in the hand. “The second policeman on duty, in self defence, shot and killed one of them. “This action was said to have drawn the ire of members of the Hausa community in the area as they attacked the policemen and burnt the police station and set some of the shops ablaze,” Muhammed said. Meanwhile, the Oyo state government has closed down the Bodija market till further notice |

Hello guys, pls let's keep d thread alive, its getting boring here! I tot we shld be sharing ideas, experiences and information abt this year's Shell recruitment? Going thru d postings made by past Shell hopefuls on these thread, the results of the aptitude tests are usually out abt a month after d tests. So if that stays correct and d trend remains d same ds year, I guess Shell shld be contacting candidates by this month end...does anyone have this information from any reliable source? Let's drop comments pls, to keep d thread interesting and calm down nerves cos am getting agitated o! Lol... |

Calculators were provided... Expect to find 20 numerical questions (20 mins), 35 verbal questions (30 mins) and 18 spatial questions (18 mins). The numerical questions were easy bt u'll need to work very very fast. Overall, my assessment of the test is fair and reasonable enough. Gudluck to those peeps who are yet to write their tests. 1 Like |

Hey! No one is saying anything here or is there a thread elsewhere on NL about this year's Shell recruitment? Have just received an invitation to the test on 22nd May. Who else is writing on this day? Please let's keep in touch and share info and ideas. I once passed this test in 2008 but was already out of the country for my masters when i received an invitation to the interview. Shell hopefuls pls come on in....lol |
