Islam for Muslims / Be Patient In Everything (لاتغدب) "Dont Be Angry" by Ayfashion(m): 8:48pm On Apr 08, 2016
A HEART Touching Story
A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy's father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled:
"Why did U take all this time to come? Don't U know that my son's life is in danger? Don't U have any sense of responsibility?"
Th...e doctor smiled & said:
"I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call...... And now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work"
"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would U calm down? If your own son dies now what will U do??" said the father angrily
The doctor smiled again & replied: "I will say what Job said in the Holy Book "From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God". Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God's grace"
"Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy" Murmured the father.
The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
"Thank goodness!, your son is saved!" And without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running. "If U have any question, ask the nurse!!"
"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son's state" Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.
The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."
Moral-Never judge anyone..... because U never know how their life is & what they're going through"
Be kind to share it to educate someone today..

May Allah Guid Us And Protect Us Ameen

Business / Buhari To Sign Loan Deal With China by Ayfashion(m): 7:04pm On Apr 08, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari will sign a loan deal with China during a visit next week as the Federal Government seeks funds to finance the over N2tn budget deficit
This is expected to help the government to finance badly-needed infrastructure projects.
Speaking to Reuters , the Special Adviser to the President on Media, Mr. Femi Adesina, said, “I can’t tell you how much until the day the loan will be signed. Both countries will also be signing some bilateral agreements to strengthen their relationship; that is all I can say now.”
The economy has been hit hard by a slump in oil prices and the Federal Government has been in talks with China’s Export Import Bank for a loan for months.
A financial source said the loan would fund Chinese firms’ infrastructure projects in Nigeria.
In February, financial and government sources said the loan could be as high a $2bn but officials have not provided an update since then.
The Federal Government has said it wants to raise about $5bn abroad to cover part of its 2016 budget deficit, which could be as high as N3tn ($15bn).

Nairaland / General / 22 April Will Be Record-breaking, Says UN by Ayfashion(m): 10:27am On Apr 08, 2016
The United Nations has disclosed that a record number of countries are expected to sign the historic climate agreement adopted last December in Paris at a signing ceremony scheduled for New York on 22 April this year. The event will be hosted by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

More than 130 countries have confirmed that they will sign the Paris Agreement on that day, the first day that the agreement will be open for signature. This would surpass the previous record of 119 signatures for an opening day signing for an international agreement, set by the Law of the Sea in Montego Bay in 1994. In addition, more countries have informally indicated that they will sign the agreement, with the numbers increasing rapidly each week.
Over 60 Heads of State and Government will attend the ceremony, including French President François Hollande, demonstrating the continued high level of engagement by world leaders to accept and implement the Paris Agreement.
The signing ceremony will mark the first step toward ensuring that the Paris Agreement enters into force as early as possible. The agreement will enter into force 30 days after at least 55 countries, accounting for 55 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions, deposit their instruments of ratification or acceptance with the Secretary-General.
A number of countries have also indicated that they will deposit their instruments of ratification immediately after signing the agreement on 22 April.
The 22 April signing ceremony will also bring together leaders from civil society and the private sector to discuss efforts to boost financing for climate action and sustainable development, and to increase actions that would achieve the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting average global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius.
“Paris was historic,” the Secretary-General said. “But it’s only the beginning. We must urgently accelerate our efforts to tackle climate change. I encourage all countries to sign the Paris Agreement on 22 April so we can turn aspirations into action.”

Politics / Buhari’s Refusal To Assent 2016 Budget Is A Wise Financial Decision by Ayfashion(m): 2:53pm On Apr 07, 2016
The Chairman of the Economic and Strategic Team of the Edo Government, Dr. Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday said President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to withhold assent to the 2016 appropriation bill until the details were scrutunised was a financially sound decision.
Obaseki, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Benin that the president’s decision was in order.
“Having advised Edo State in the last seven years, I am aware of what predicament the president is in.
“I must say that the president`s decision is the best because people forget that to budget is to govern,” he said.
According to Obaseki, the budget is the instrument that enables a policy maker or an executive to undertake all policies.
“It’s an appropriation law which should in effect itemise what you expect to earn in this area and in that area based on estimates,” he said. The chairman also said that the budget serves as a guide on what the states want to spend based on goals and objectives.
” That is the principle of budgeting.
“So, when you don’t give such document the seriousness it deserves by not accompanying it with details, anybody can just put in anything into it and expect to take it out the other way as it has been the PDP culture.
“For the first time, Buhari is saying let`s agree on what we are truly going to earn and what to spend it on,” he said.
Buhari, he said, had made a promise on what to do and all MDAs must align with his goals and objectives.
“It is therefore the president’s determination and desire to effect the change policy that has put him in a dilemma.
“So many phantoms instruments may have been created in the budget and he does not want to be trapped,” he said.
