I have an inquiry

If one applies for an ireland study visa and has adequate funds in his account after paying full tuition fees but was not working for about 2 months just before he submitted his application, and did not explain the employment gap in his SOP, could that affect his visa approval?

Just pray for grace and don’t stress too much. The outcome will tell cause we can’t all be too sure of all these things

I submitted my application for january intake on october 13th. Still havent gotten any response.

My school resumes january 9th. I really do not know what my best options are at the moment.

Could someone pls advice on how to go about this

I applied as far back as july 23 , was supposed to resume September, but i didnt get a visa decision before the resumption deadline, so the school deferred my admission to January

Please who submitted student visa application this mid July 2025, that has gotten feedback from the embassy, Because since July 28th that I’ve submitted, I haven’t received any emails concerning my passport delivery or decision, Even my admission has been withdrawn😭since October, I’m just preparing for 2026 September intake😭

DBS has done April intake before.I am not sure it is for all programs though.

Depends on how quick Application was sent it.

You can ask for your passport, it does not stop your visa processing

It's not unusual for it to take this long during this period. Visa decisions usually take 6-8 weeks during normal periods so I'd imagine it will be a bit longer now that it's their peak period. You submitted September, that's roughly 8 weeks by my calculations so who knows, you might hear something soon. Be positive. Good luck

And our Passports are with them o, we cant even start looking or processing plan B for ourselves.

This is very bad

The only reason i chose ireland was because my friend told me she got her visa in 3 weeks last year against her september session resumption.

I wonder what is happening this year.

One person that I know had her application for January intake sent to Ireland.
Processing time in ireland is fast for study visa.

lol Embassy finally picked my call today,the lady told me that the truth is that they aren’t processing study visa for January intake yet 🙂
