bigmills: Honestly I don't know. I have withdrawn our application and applying afresh. it's no point waiting for appeal. When the package came back, it is same way I sent it. Not touched, not opened after 2 months o.. So you will be applying again for January intake?? Is there still time for processing for January intake cause I think I will withdraw my application and apply afresh since my school now say it has an April intake… This people are just crazy and I hear their holiday break starts on the 20th of December till like second week of January |

Chiamyugwu: lol Embassy finally picked my call today, the lady told me that the truth is that they aren’t processing study visa for January intake yet 🙂 MAD, thats crazy. No wonder my school messaged me if I have submitted my appeal and asked when I submitted, I then told them what’s their advice for me since we know the processing now take more time than initial and I may not make January( I deferred from September 2025 to January 2026) and the school said they will defer my admission to April if the embassy won’t make January meaning, the embassy might contact me to ask if I have deferred or will withdraw to start new application for September 2026. Mind you I never for once saw on the school website that they have an April intake(DBS). They all know what’s happening, just contact your school. |

Why don’t you email the school and get a deferral letter cause this is looking promising to me instead of withdrawing the application |

My visa was denied cause I forgot to add the financial summary sheet 😭😭 which was a costly one on my part and some other foolish reasons known to them, so I updated my statement of account, deferred my admission to January (DBS), added the deferred admission letter, added more documents, addressed their refusal points and sent my package and all I have to do is wait. Na that waiting gangan dey mess with pesin and now it's suppose to take longer.... It is well |

Ayo112: Not to justify their rubbish, they handle four countries visa processing and I think that will be a lot cause I can’t imagine what Nigeria number alone will be then adding 3 other African countries plus the Ireland embassy are probably lazy and short staffed They share their embassy building with Netherland and netherland sometimes handles interviews daily while |

bigmills: It is just unfair and poor by the embassy. Genuinely due to lack of transparency its even hard to trust the process.
An appeal is not an entirely new submission. I suppose an appeal should require fewer documents but understandably more scrutiny
My concern with the process is this: why refuse an application immediately due to incomplete documentation in most cases, especially when the missing information is something that can be clarified or provided easily?
Would it not be more efficient to have a portal or link to a portal where applicants can upload missing documents or provide explanations before a final decision is made? This would save time for both the applicant and the embassy and would reduce the number of refused applications. Not to justify their rubbish, they handle four countries visa processing and I think that will be a lot cause I can’t imagine what Nigeria number alone will be then adding 3 other African countries plus the Ireland embassy are probably lazy and short staffed |

Chiamyugwu: It’s tiring …..I just feel like withdrawing…..I submitted since August 14th ….more than 12weeks and the Embassy is saying my application is in queue for processing even after 12weeks …for a study visa … Omo, it’s crazy o. What will those of us waiting for appeal now do?? |

bigmills: Influx of application regardless. The UK stilll processes more application than ireland and does not take more than 15 working days. it's their processes and the people within the process. That's very bad and they are wasting a lot of people time.... It's just crazy Saw someone on here who hasn't gotten any feedback since early August for study visa ooo |

kayla23: I cant imagine the influx of applications they had this year.
It is a total mess. They have terrible systems.......
At the same time i think it’s a ploy to reduce the amount of people migrating to the country. Yh, I think they are gradually fading out the appeal process too cause who’s going to wait for 6months when normal application is like 12weeks maximum. I have an appeal with the. Since September and don’t even know what to do and I need my passport at the same time to start looking at other places |
