DBS has done April intake before.I am not sure it is for all programs though.

Well my own program doesn’t have an April intake when I applied and even when I deferred until they messaged me about my application and updated me sir.

They haven't heard anything that's why I was shocked when you said your resumption for Griffith is January and when one of the guy I know is February 28. Even the school I applied for (DBS) now have intake for April which I think they didn't have before so now I will have to differ to April again if January to meet am and this was an advise from the school base on what is happening or I withdraw my application and prepare for September 2026 afresh. Keep mailing your school, they all know what's happening

I have a friend that applied October, another one November and they both submitted at vfs Abuja and how long do you think it gets to the embassy in Abuja from vfs Abuja. Baba all their processing stuff no get manual and time frame again. Na when you see am you see am. So someone that said she submitted hers September, her application didn’t get sent quick baa?? Three month and counting.

You can ask for your passport, it does not stop your visa processing

It's not unusual for it to take this long during this period. Visa decisions usually take 6-8 weeks during normal periods so I'd imagine it will be a bit longer now that it's their peak period. You submitted September, that's roughly 8 weeks by my calculations so who knows, you might hear something soon. Be positive. Good luck

Apart from being in their peak season, the stuff is taking longer that it use to, people ain’t just talking cause it can’t do anything to it so everyone is just observing

Almost as if no nigerians have applied this year to study in ireland , all i see are advertisement to come and study in ireland

This is very bad

The only reason i chose ireland was because my friend told me she got her visa in 3 weeks last year against her september session resumption.

I wonder what is happening this year.

It's usually like that before, visa decision comes out early. I got my initial visa decision in August and I applied late June but now seeing someone who has gotten decision since that August is now a huge task and this people are not rushing themselves based on the number of lists they release every Monday.

I really cannot find any information on any social media in regards to the visa

It’s because there’s no information out there about anything. I have gone through TikTok, insta and even twitter to just see someone that got visa from Ireland but I couldn’t find any. Know a lot of friend that are also waiting for response for fresh application and appeal… I guess people are just trying not to think about it

Is there still time for processing for January intake cause I think I will withdraw my application and apply afresh since my school now say it has an April intake… This people are just crazy and I hear their holiday break starts on the 20th of December till like second week of January

Call or mail them to know how far and how long have you submitted

Processing time in ireland is fast for study visa.

How do one get their application sent to Ireland from Nigeria, if we can also do it

lol Embassy finally picked my call today,the lady told me that the truth is that they aren’t processing study visa for January intake yet 🙂

MAD, thats crazy. No wonder my school messaged me if I have submitted my appeal and asked when I submitted, I then told them what’s their advice for me since we know the processing now take more time than initial and I may not make January( I deferred from September 2025 to January 2026) and the school said they will defer my admission to April if the embassy won’t make January meaning, the embassy might contact me to ask if I have deferred or will withdraw to start new application for September 2026. Mind you I never for once saw on the school website that they have an April intake(DBS). They all know what’s happening, just contact your school.

You guys should mail and try to call them

I already have a deferral letter from school for the next intake which is September, 2026, so I just have to send the letter to them and withdraw

Submitted my appeal since early September. They acknowledged receipt 12th September and I'm still waiting till now

My visa was denied cause I forgot to add the financial summary sheet 😭😭 which was a costly one on my part and some other foolish reasons known to them, so I updated my statement of account, deferred my admission to January (DBS), added the deferred admission letter,added more documents, addressed their refusal points and sent my package and all I have to do is wait. Na that waiting gangan dey mess with pesin and now it's suppose to take longer.... It is well

Okay. I submitted my initial application June 17 at vfs Abuja and I got their decision on August 18th(denied). DHL my appeal package on the 21st of September from ikorodu and it got to Abuja on the 22nd. What I just know how is the stuff is taking longer and we need those who said they applied August to say something if they've gotten a response pls.
