Aluminum phosphide fumigation is an effective and common method of controlling weevils and other insects in stored grains, bagged products, also used to kill small verminous mammals such as moles and rodents .. Recently an organization engaged us to control weevils in their warehouse located beside the admin building filled up with tones of raw materials. They were advised that this method of fumigation requires total shut down of the treated facility for 3-5days, this was practically impossible for them as they work round the clock daily.

Aluminium phosphide is the most common causes of pesticide poisoning,it affects the cardiac and vascular tissues. Highly poisonous, aluminum phosphide has been used for suicide severally in Nigeria aside sniper and has also caused unintentional deaths, there is a campaign by the Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization to stop its use.

We advised the client to rent a 40ft container for three days where the infested products will be quarantined and treated within their premises. This suggestion brought a huge sigh of relief. We don’t only render pest control services, we advise our clients professionally on safety standards.
