In 1963 census although controversial, 47% of Nigerians were said to be Muslim, 35% Christian, and 18% Traditional believers. In 2001's census, it was recorded that 50% were Muslims, 40% Christians and 10% Traditionalists. 10 years later, its 50.8% Christians, 48.8% Muslims and 0.4% Traditional worshipers. If it is a fact that Religion is an integral part of a communities culture and identity, and its agreeable that a man that lost his lore, his heritage, his heirloom, lost all value, and thus will be subservient to alien ways of life, a reason for which immigrants, like the Indians, dim it important to migrate to wherever in the world with his/her god and hold it sacramental, even to the point of maintaining individual cast and sects, same does the Chinese, Thais, a larger part of Russians and other progressive culture rich societies, when a Cuban is teaching our people about IFA, our perceived fetish Diviner!
