EDUCATION SECTOR: Nigeria's brutal heroes killer. Recent degradation in arguably all sectors prompts the attention seeking question, where are our potential heroes? Heroes are known during times of difficulty. Nigeria is currently going through some, we need our heroes. We will probably not find satisfactory answers until we are sure they are alive or dead due to the terrible education system. Imagine a Nigeria with hundreds of Okonjo Iweala, Dora Akunyili, Akinwuni Adesina, Tony Elumelu, Godwin Emefiele, Pat Utomi, Nuhu Ribadu e.t.c. Recently, no Nigerian university was included in the top 1400 in the world, you surprised? A closed institution cannot be. Where are our potential heroes? Semilore (a friend) says "THEY ARE AT HOME" not within the four walls of their various institutions. How can we refine these potential heroes when our schools are closed. Just this week, students of all AAU and FUTA were apprehended for 16 million naira internet fraud. Is this what our potential heroes have been reduced to? Students of public secondary school students in Oyo State have been at home for over two months until yesterday. Has it gone this bad? Remember, an idle hand is the devil's workshop. IT IS DISHEARTENING TO SAY, THE EDUCATION SECTOR HAS KILLED MORE POTENTIAL HEROES THAN DEATH. Isn't it an irony that a sector that is expected to groom these heroes is it's number one killer. On behalf of all affected students across the nation, I appeal to all stakeholders of these institutions to come to a compromise. Like Semilore, do you know where our potential heroes are? Please tell me. I hope they are not wasting (dying). #ReopenLAUTECH #ReopenOAU #ReopenAAUA #ReopenKSU #Reopenallschools lalastica, Mr. Seun. please, lend us your voice, we must be heard. kindly move to front page. Ayodeji is a final year student of Mechanical engineering, LAUTECH. |
Use to be Daddy Oyedepo....but Apostle Selman Joshua of koinoinia is amazing lately......but all over the world......it is #team Joel Osteen. |
hauwababy:SIMI and FALZ performance........that was my highlight of the headies regardless of the nonsense dos two CEOs did. Those two nailed it, especially SIMI's vocal prowness |
morbeta:I dont understand what you mean by broke...........but this man is got massive investment both in nigeria and in Ghana......He owns a 5 star hotel in Ghana......pls do ur findings well...........that he decamped to APC is more of benefit to Apc than he is........this man has massive followership in Ogbomoso, some part of oke-ogun and Oyo..............during last election, Labour party cleard every post in Ogbomoso and some in OYO including a relatively known Ogunmusi defeating Soun of Ogbomoso's son, Oyewunmi of APC and then House Majority leader........Adeola Mulika of PDP. I av been a LAUTECH student for the past 5yrs........I kw what I am saying. HE IS A god in that land. |
tyconcepts:I am also looking for this song oo, If u eventually get it......pls help me out with d link. |
Considering the fact that I am a lover of good music, I spent a good time today analysing these two undeniable talents The question is between Kiss Daniel songs (WOJU and LAYE) and Adekunle Gold songs (SADE and ORENTE ) which artist song combination is more dope. MY OPINION..........Woju was a massive hit, if I am to pick just one song, it 'd be Woju, but laye didnt match up to either of Adekunle Gold songs.......therefore, I go for Adekunle Gold. |
I hope I am not the only one who have noticed these constracting figures. When our army wins, the number of BH militants casualty is usually high but when BH attack (overun) a village just few civilians die. for clearer understanding of what I am trying to say, Imagine if there is an attack in Oshodi not to talk of a whole village. |
emamos:for everyone who think Hausas are animals and they are not good for anything. I bet you do not undestand love, respect and loyalty. No matter their differences they will never fail to show a brethren these attitude, unlike southerners and eastherners who will do everything to bad mouth a brethren. (Ambode, Oshiomole, wike). If you are suprised by his utterance, you know nothing about northerners. |
lekjons:so you know that his fate lies in the court and not in Buhari's hand. Why have you consistently requested that Buhari send Jonathan and his cabinet members to jail? |

vedaxcool:bro, foret the fact that the Igbos did not vote him, the moment he emerged, he become the president of Nigeria and not the president some selected part of Nigeria. (He is president of all including those who did not vote him) . |
Oooops:bro, Dichotomy or not, Bsc and HND are not the same level. Why? This view is from the engineering perspective. 1. Entry requirements. It is tougher in a uni. 2. Different Curicullum. Bro, one thick pass the other. 3. Government funds. 4. Quality of research. You cannot compare the quality of research of a uni lecturer or student to that of an HND holder. 5. Qualification and brilliance of lecturers. how many professors do we have in a poly. Even doctors 6. Money invested (tuition, hostel fee, projects) lest I forget, polytechnics are not established to train engineers bt craftmen, technologists, technicians, articians etc. If you want to do the work of an engineer or get the same pay. You have to find a uni. They (HND holders) complain that they do more of the work. I agree, nurses do more of the work bt they can never be a mate to a doctor. (WHY ARE NURSES NOT COMPLAINING, BOTH OF THEM BE UNIVERSITY GRADUATES SELF) Am I ignorant of the potency of polytechnics? NO. My simple advice. GET OND FIRST THEN GO FOR DIRECT ENTRY. (LAUTECH STUDENT) |
Kingbilo:please check Malachi 3:10.......... 'Beside Jesus himself said whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers, that you do unto me' ........Jesus was not talking about tithes here, rather it was abt giving. |
Kingbilo:helping others is no subtitute for paying your tithes. You should always pay it because It is a command by the most High irrespective of your view. Giving to the less priviledge is compulsory also but it is no subtitute. |
donmoris:since you are a virgin, how do you know that the feeling you feeling is sexual? Just trying hard to bliv yu! |
4th country in 2 weeks. GEJ own sef no worse reach dis. Clike like if you know that PMB has spent more time outside the country than inside. |

This argument brokered between me and my friends, I will not state my own view so as to have a level playing ground. Please, nairaland who is richer between sen. Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja and sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu. |
udatso:...............aint no pretender bro, these ar my stake. Av got many to loose, I kw u do nt have any.Cant just watch a man decieve me again and again. |
I swear wahala go happen if you (GMB) do not return our girls, end boko haram, make 1 naira equal 1 dollar, curb corruption. These are what you told us and we believed you........wondering why we voted this liar. |
lomprico:why are u convinced she wont win, dont you think there are about 50 million people who will choose to follow your path? |
lomprico:will you be voting kowa tomorrow? |
Thou GREAT NIGERIA, I'm afraid as much as you are. IF GEJ WINS 1. Will you go through another 4 yrs without a single finger raised against corruption? 2. Will you continue to experience continuous deterioration to key sectors? (power, defence) 3. Will you continue to experience sluggish reaction to national threats? 4. Will more convicted leaders get state pardon? 5. Will you experience more devaluation of naira? 6. Will you have to wait until extra time to address insecurity? 7. Will more of your own perish to insurgency. IF GMB WINS 1. Will Nigerians get job without cerfiticates? 2. Will your C in C prefer to address you from far away UK? 3. Will Tinubu, Amaechi, Atiku be spared when the fight against corruption start? 4. Will you have a C in C without adequate knowledge of your economy? 5. Will more of your own be convicted without proper trial? 6. Will you have a C in C without a clear mission statement? (even Jesus had to tell His disciples. come, follow me, I will make you fishers of men) 7. Will your own be continually lied to in order to appease their sympathy? Dear Lord, NIGERIA needs help, do not forsake her. |
that guy is a ladokite. He is part of 2014 log out. He wore dat on yoruba day. I also have a differnt pix i snapped with him. He took dat pix beside high rise building. THAT IS CALLED CREATIVITY AND THAT IS THE SPIRIT OF LAUTECH. |
Which of them? Abeg help me narrow my options |
I really do not know why FAYOSE attacking GMB is so disgusting to the APC. Afterall, this is what they have not failed to do to GEJ for the past 6yrs. Just 2 attacks and heaven is abt to get loose.#justsaying |
