Mr Akin Solanke is the project coordinator, Building Our National Image Flag Project (BONI PROJECT). Since 2007, He has been championing the need for Nigerians to celebrate the national flag with particular emphasis of the symbolic importance the Nigerian flag represents. You wouldn't expect less on his wedding day as the hall decoration, cake design, seating arrangement was set up to appreciate the Nigerian colors.

He married Olaitan Sosu on the 11th May 2013 @ Latter Rain Assembly(Children's Auditorium) and yours truly ayoSpecie was the event compere.

The bride, Olaitan also won the "KNOW YOUR SPOUSE" contest thereby winning ayoSpecie's special give away for the day.

At the Welcome to Paradise event held few months back to celebrate ayoSpecie's 5 years as an event MC where he hosted his past clients (couples) to a dinner, one of the general issues faced by young couples was centered around

"BED ROOM DUTIES IN MARRIAGE"-

Men: Wives don’t care about the sexual needs of their men!
Women: Men aren't considerate at all with all this Lagos traffic & wahala.

Plenty practical/non-practical suggestions/solutions were raised but I will want to particularly center today's discussion on one of them.

"Someone suggested that - Couple should agree & draw up a Bed room time-table".

Do you agree/disagree that this suggestion will work to help young couples?
NB: This is a learning platform for all, so treat it with great importance it requires.

My opinion: Since there is food time table, morning devotion table, why should this be an exception?

An Inter-cultural wedding took place in Lagos (30th June 2012) between Mr. Ikechukwu Uchedike of Oguachi, Delta State and Miss. Alaba Adenola, an Ijebu Ishiwo bride from Ogun State. Alaba, who has already mastered the Igbo dancing steps thrilled the guests & won several cash with goodies sprayed at her.

- He patronizes "Made in Ijebu" products for loyalty sake as he can soak "Garri Ijebu" for Breakfast, eat EBA for lunch, take LAFU for dinner and take "Agbo jedi" to neutralize excess sugar intake

- He is spiritually conscious as he operates within the 3 major religions in Nigeria (Christianity,Islam & Traditionally) for all around protection

- He goes to back to the village alone (leaving his family back at his base) to protect them from village envy

- He prefers saving towards a family/friend parents' burial so that he too can get favored when needed

On the 3rd November 2012, Olayinka & Moyo exchanged marital vows at St. Paul's Ang. Church, Ojodu, Lagos. The reception took place at The Bamboo Space, close to Omole phase 1, Lagos and your choicest eMCee in town, ayoSpecie was the master of ceremony at the reception.

The chairman of the day happened to be Professor Segun Awonusi, V.C. Tai Solarin, Uni. of Education, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state. Popular Yoruba musician, Alhaji Musiliu Haruna Ishola was on ground with his full music band to give the audience load of local sounds to dance to.

On the 27th October 2012, Temitope (nee Akintola) openly declared her acceptance to move on in life with Mr. Ayodeji Falade at Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos.

Friends, families and well-wishers were hosted to a colourful reception at the popular De Hall event centre, Ikeja, Lagos. Coincidentally, the day happened to be the birthdays of two special persons at the event: the bride and her chief bride's mate. In a sweet fashion, the groom gave a special birthday song rendition to gladden the heart of his sweet bride and the rest is history.
It was never a dull moment as ayoSpecie anchored the event.

An exhibition match between the Williams sisters (Serena & Venus) took place on the 2nd November 2012 at the Lagos Tennis Club. Venus Williams won the match in 2 straight sets ( 6-4, 7-5) beating her sister & world number 3, Serena Williams. It was a great display of Tennis even though both sister had one complain or the other on the status of the match. Serena complained about the hot sun that kept preventing her from facing the sky to take her serve while Venus felt the centre net wasn't of professional standard that she had to measure the height of the net with her racket.
