The Yoruba Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, who was detained by police for alleged sexual assault, has been granted bail.
The actor was granted a bail yesterday by his lawyer ,his counsel Adesina Ogunlana confirmed this on Monday.

Mr. Adesina in his statement said:

“He has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds. He has not been released. He will be released after his bail conditions have been perfected,” Ogunlana said.

Among the list of conditions listed by the magistrate for Baba Ijesha’s release are two reliable sureties; one of them must be a level 10 officer, a direct blood relation, and N500,000 bail bond in like sum

Ogunlana had in a letter to the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu seeking Baba Ijesha’s bail on Friday, claimed that Baba Ijesha appeared sickly.

The Asmat were not only headhunters, but they also “hunted for names.” They claimed that by killing and eating a man, they could absorb his power and become him.

Every person was given a name in honor of a deceased relative or an enemy who had been killed.

After a village set out to kill a man from an enemy village nearby, a child was often given a name just ten years after its birth.

Thecable reported that The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) says fasting in the month of Ramadan will continue on Wednesday.
In an official tweet by NSCIA on Tuesday revealed that the crescent moon signs which determines the fasting break was unable to be verified by the body.

In a statement, Sambo Walli Junaidu, wazirin Sokoto and chairman of advisory committee on religious affairs for sultanate council of Sokoto, said there was no positive sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Shawwal.

“The Sultanate Council Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs in conjunction with the National Moon Sighting Committee did not receive any report from various Moon Sighting Committees across the Country confirming the sighting of the New Moon of Shawwal 1442AH, on Tuesday, 11th May, 2021 which was the 29th day of Ramadan 1442AH. Therefore, Wednesday, 12, May, 2021 is the 30th day of the month of Ramadan 1442AH,” the statement reads,Thecable reports

“His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has accepted the report and accordingly declared Thursday, 13th May, 2021 as the first day of Shawwal 1442AH. (Day of Eid-El-Fitr).

The political statesman of PDP Bode George has vowed not to be a Nigerian if Tinubu becomes president in 2023.
The chieftain of peoples Democratic Party has made a vow statement while on popular Tv station Arise Television in Lagos challenging the elder statesman of All Progressive Congress APC on a special morning show on the said Tv.
Bode George has challenged the economy and financial crime commission why they have failed to look into the financial past records of former Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu although Jagaban has never denied the intention of running presidential race neither does he agree to run for the post come 2023.
