The war against terrorism has suffered a huge set back. That airplane is one of Nigeria's foremost intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft with specially trained crew on board. Losing such a plane and this number of officers is very tragic.

The locals who watched the plane descending, said they heard a huge explosion before the crash. Propeller driven planes aren't known to be prone to explosions but I'm sure a thorough investigation will unearth what actually happened on board.

Maybe a suicide bomber or a bomb on the plane
