Sold
Congratulations!!! I like that first name a lot; it's a name that lots of airline agencies/services don't mind spending on. I have similar names, planning to hold them until they sell.

I reduced the prices on some of my domains a few days ago, then boom, I woke up to this sale. It was initially priced at $2k, then I reduced it to $1499. I notice every time I initiate a price adjustment, I usually get a sale (happened back-to-back now). Maybe that's a sign I should start pricing my domains better - I'll start having a bucket for my low-priced, average-priced, and high-priced domains.

Name: InvoiceProcessor (.com)
Sale Price: $1499
Sale Venue: Afternic
Purchase Price: $5 on Z .com + $11 transfer to UD
Hold Time: 15 months
Sale Type: Inbound

Wish everyone a big sale this week and month!!!

I actually bought the domain name with the 2nd option of developing it into a blog about domain name investment and then probably be getting some referral/affiliate commissions from web hosting/domain name companies.

First, most .com domain names are sold for $12 or slightly less. Second, domain names expire every 12months hence the idea behind 12domains/com

I'll use part of the funds to develop 2 of my domain names into a blog (Remote jobs and Expired domains blog)
Congratulations Bro... I'm happy you're able to sell the domain for a good price.

TBVH, the idea makes sense only after you've explained (especially the 12 months part), but when others look at the name directly without your explanation, 12domains/com doesn't really mean everything you explained. But that's the good part of domaining: as long as it sells, it definitely makes sense to the buyer.

Congrats and more sales to everyone!!!

Hope not. The founder is well off and doesn’t need the money. He would have done it already.
Haha, I definitely hope not too. No one wants to pay for a service if they can get exactly the same service for free, but this is absolutely not how it works lol

Bro, check again. It now has a partial domain history report.
Oh my bad, now I see it... I haven't done a DNS history lookup in a few days, I only replied based on what I've been doing. Now, it's time to look for another option, as the $30/month fee isn't really worth it, imho. I'll update the thread If I find something worthwhile on my end.

BTW, maybe this is a sign that ExpiredDomains will become a subscription based service sooner or later. angry

Since Complete dns is now paid for, are there any alternatives for checking domain history?
The free user plan gives you 100 queries per month, if that's not enough, you can use the 3 queries per day option (without logging in). All you have to do to maximize is connect your VPN ~ change location (ip address) after using up the 3 queries and it refreshes automatically. My VPN has hundreds of locations and it's easy to bypass these types of limit doing this.

Pain do come like a wrecking disappointment. When u second guess on a name and delay because of over analysis and choosing doubt over ur initial jubilation of winning. Auction was won at 485 dollar.. Chai.
Sorry about this, one of the domaining lessons.

I don't have the full details involved but in my opinion, you should have attempted to reach out directly to the seller yourself before replying, you may be able to get it off the seller way cheaper and make some instant profits with it, who knows.

Do not make complaint on Twitter to Grey App or any other Fintech App. Scammers are cloning their handles to scam customer's money.

Yesterday was the saddest day of my life. A scammer defrauded me of $2,697 by sending me link through DM as if it's Grey App to resolve my Grey card issue not accepting payments on domain registrars to buy domains for some time now.

I foolishly entered my log in details into the link that mirror Grey App perfectly and he had access to my Grey App, stole $2,697 by converting it to USDC on Grey and move it out before Grey was able to block my account after I emailed them ASAP.
So sorry this happened to you, that's a lot of money to lose to those b@ztards.

I have also experienced the same thing about 3 years ago, mine was GTBank and it happened while I was half-asleep half-awake, the debit alerts cleared my sleep instantly. Since then I've been very cautious on X, these scammers are available no matter which big company you're having issue with, not just financial institutions alone. I called out an Airline about cancelled flight earlier this year, and the scammers are already reaching out to me via DM with accounts that have usernames similar to the airline's customer service and the company logo as profile picture ~ but once beaten twice shy.

The best way to prevent this is by sending a direct DM to the company using their official handle and wait for their response, no posting/quoting them openly on the timeline. If you have to post on the timeline (cuz calling out publicly puts them on their toes), ensure you reach out to their official handle via DM first, that way, if any other account sends you a message, you know they are not the real company since your first DM to them won't be seen in that conversation.

The RED button is the Atheist's Choice!

The probability is high that you will ALSO lose 50% of those close to you.

Your Parents
Your Spouse
Your Siblings
Your Friends
Your Relatives etc.

What is life without them?

Then ONLY selfish people will remain in your World as all CONSIDERATE people (who pressed the Blue button are not in this World)

Good luck to you!
Lol, you sound very funny... Most of those people you listed are very close to me and they are not dumb to pick without logically analyzing it, I won't be proud of anyone that picks nonsense. You can control your actions, but you can't control that of others. Even if you press blue, it doesn't guarantee saving your family. Now, you pressed blue but your family has more wisdom and they pressed red, now you're the one no more, while your family wonders how they never knew their son is so dull cry (literally, not insulting you). Additionally, LOGIC is far greater than EMOTION in ANY Survival Situation, just so you know.

Boss can you be dropping lists daily 🙇🏻‍♂️
The list the first poster dropped was questioned cuz it seems to be wasting newbies' money.

This list you quoted, on the other hand is questionable too because it's simply wasting newbies' time. Why?

Most of those names can only be gotten through backorder. After backordering, most will still end in auction where deep pockets fight for them. 99% of the names domainers secure here (especially newbies) is usually through Hand reg, so anyone who isn't interested in backorders/auctions will be wasting their time chasing those top-tier domains (4L, english words, 10+ TLDs taken etc). So it's up to you, do you wanna waste your money or time? In my opinion, the best thing to do is strike a balance and stay in between grin
Forum Games › Re: Viral Blue Vs Red Button Question Is Dividing The Internet. What Will You Choose by aywhy93(m): 9:12am On May 01
Situation 1 - Blue Button: If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives.... With > 50%, EVERYONE survives

Situation 2 - Red Button: If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive.

This is a very simple situation. You just need to keep calm and make the right decision. What is the right decision?

Pressing the RED button is the right decision. It's the only button that guarantees your survival. How?

When you press the red button, there are 2 things involved ---

1. More than 50% also pressed the red button, in that case, it means less than 50% pressed the blue button, so you'll survive because of situation 2.
2. Less than 50% pressed the red button, in this case, it means that more than 50% pressed the blue button, so you'll also survive because of situation 1, which says that If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives.

So PRESSING THE RED BUTTON guarantees your survival!!! wink

Do you intentionally want newbies to lose their money or just that you know nothing about domain investing?
Actually, that list wasn't curated by the poster, it was copied from UnclaimedName and It's either hit or miss most times, he should have specified it isn't his picks, to begin with.

While doing a pricing experiment, I slashed the prices on my domains to $1988 over the weekend. Now one of the domains is on hold on Afternic. I forgot that this domain is also a premium domain on Atom at $3.5k.
Though, the sale and backstory isn't so smooth but I'm happy to get my second sale in less than 2 months (also my second sale after restarting this game). I bought this name in June 2025, so that's like 10 months hold time. The name was priced $5k but I was doing a pricing experiment over the weekend so I changed some prices to $1988 and it sold. Here are the main details -

Name: Keyword+Ai (.com) | The Keyword . ai is still for sale but at a higher price.
Sale Price: $1988 (LTO)
Sale Venue: Afternic
Purchase Price: $5 on Z .com | ED Dropped
Hold Time: 10 months
Sale Type: Inbound

Wish everyone a big sale this week and month!!!

I often ask this question under my breath. I hope this year is different.. Sold one 2024, blank 2025 and one just last month..
That's not too bad in my opinion, though, it depends on the STR of those premium names. How many are they if I may ask?

@ aywhy93 what do you mean by Atom will come for you? Is it not your own domain? Simply unlist at Atom and other marketplaces you've listed it and supply the code to afternic.
It's a premium domain on Atom so I can't unlist it myself without notifying them and I had priced it lower on Afternic, which is against Atom's premium names policy. Atom too get wahala.

Congratulations on your sale, first and foremost.

Supply the auth code to Afternic, then inform Atom that the name sold on Afternic, and that you erroneously priced it lower during a portfolio-wide price reduction on Afternic. If this is your first time, nothing will happen.

As for the nameservers you changed after the name went on hold on Afternic, e no go work.

They already logged the active nameserver when the name went on hold, so anticipate the high commission.

Congratulations 🎉
Thank you very much. That's exactly what I did, just like you mentioned, nothing happened because it's my first time making that mistake, they just explained to me to ensure I don't make mistakes on the pricing moving forward. I'm working on adjusting the prices on the other premiums now.

On the other hand, the nameserver change I did worked, the NS during sale was what stood, which is the Afternic NS, I also got further discount on the commission because it's 13months LTO, the commissions on 1-12 months LTO is higher than 13-24months. Thanks

I forgot that this domain is also a premium domain on Atom at $3.5k. Unfortunately, I can't update the price on Afternic since it's on hold now, the only thing I could do was just update the NS to Afternic, to save on their commissions. Has anyone been in this situation before? How did it go? Kindly advice if there is anything I can do cuz I'm pretty sure this sale will complete on Afternic and Atom will definitely come for me. Thanks

EDIT: The domain has now sold on Afternic as expected but via LTO. Now, they are waiting for Auth Code to complete the transfer. Still waiting for update/advice on anyone who has been in this situation and line of action to take. Thanks

UPDATE: The Issue has now been resolved. Thanks to everyone. Will post details of the sale soon.

Using the 1% STR there is high probability that you'd sell 0.7 of these names in a year or maybe 1 in 2 years. To increase your chances increase your premium portfolio to 200 to guarantee maybe 3 sales in a year. IMHO
Thanks! I have Plus/Standard names with them into the hundreds, going by 1% overall STR, i should be selling at least 3 names a year but I think their premium exposure is probably being done to the wrong audience. I can see one of my domains on their ads via google ads here on NL (most likely cause of my cookies and browsing history), I can imagine that those domains are being exposed to people like me too, who are only interested in selling, not buying. Might be wrong sha

Guarantee? There is no guarantee of making a sale in this business until you get a congrats mail that your domain has sold.

Buying quality domains and volume will increase the probability for sure, still no guarantee. That's the honest truth.

It's all probability.
Totally agree! Even when you get a congrats mail, it's still no guarantee. This happened to a domainer recently on X, he got the congrats email that the payment has been received but the deal was later cancelled **emotional damage**. The only time a sale is guaranteed these days is when the money hits your bank. It's crazy

Please go ahead. After 6 years plus on their platform I only sold Atom-registered names. I moved all my premium names to Afternic NS. I won't be sharing shi shi with them if sales come. grin
Can you imagine that..? That's crazy!

I will definitely move them but I'll give them the grace till month end to sell at least one domain grin. I'll initiate the removal process on 1st of May if no sales. Fingers crossed! Thank you very much for your contribution!!!

EDIT: I bought some domains on their wholesales market about 2 months ago, that's enough time to move them right? Cuz their rule says buying premium names and moving them out of Atom in a short period of time is prohibited.
Business › Re: What To Do To Make Money Online? by aywhy93(m): 10:35pm On Apr 16
I have some Premium and Sapphire Domains on ATOM, 70+ altogether. But I have been feeling pessimistic towards Atom lately, it just seems like they are never gonna sell any of these names, lots of datapoints but no real exposure/value to me, I've gotten a few offers but no success on the platform.

Does anyone feel the same way about them? I am thinking of moving all my premium domains to Afternic instead i.e. pointing the NS to afternic but will still be listed on Atom as Plus/Standard domains. Is that a better strategy..? Also, doesn't seem like most domainers here find success on Atom, most of the reported sales here are Afternic/Spaceship. General issue eh?
