Speaking in his first interview since being released, veteran Nolywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has narrated his ordeal while in the custody of DSS. According to Agu, he had just wrapped up shooting a movie in Asaba and was on his way back to Enugu, but stopped to drop off someone along upper Iweka Road, Onitsha. A group of less privileged people then approached the actor and told him they were hungry. Agu decided to buy all of them bread.

A source alleged that the principal was approached and begged to rush the boy to the hospital but he asked them to call the labour master.

"The labour master was not around at the time of the incident and the principal resorted to videoing the students, probably thinking that they were pretending." the source added.

Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government will in 2022 spend an estimated N104bn on purchasing generators, fuelling and servicing them, The PUNCH has learnt.

The N104bn which will be spent on generators due to the country’s unstable power supply exceeds the Internally Generated Revenue of about 24 states of the federation.
