⁸ Dalohad: When I address my international colleagies and students, we do that on first name basis.
But when I get stopped at a police checkpoint in Nigeria, I I introduce myself with my full title and name and ask the police man for his name and rank.
If his name tag and rank is visible, I say to him, 'Good afternoon Inspector Adamu Musa',
I am Dr/Prof/Scientist **** ******, how are you doing today?'
When you introduce yourself properly to the errant policeman and ask him his name and rank, he becomes more cautious, because he doesn't know what you know.
Corrupt Policemen, fear journalists and highly educated people like lawyers and licensed health professionals.
They know that Yahoo boys, have money but do not know how the police works. So they prey on them.
My colleague and schoolmate runs medical centers in Delta State and other different states in the South. He also sells high end medical equipments. He drives Benz worth more than N40million but has never been treated like a Yahoo boy.
Of course he gets stopped, when they find out what he does and what he knows, they search and let him go.
He knows the ranks of all the policemen and introduce himself first while asking for their names, and identity in a courteous manner.
His papers are always intact, If you prove stubborn and try to extort him, he will escalate the matter all the way to Abuja. He is ready to spend that money than to be humiliated. He carries 3 copies of his car papers in the car.
A rogue policeman once tore out his vehicle licence while the other was interrogating him in a stop and search point.
'Oga, your vehicle licence no dey here'. He laughed, went into his car and got another copy, and showed the rogue policeman exactly where he tore out the paper, squeezed it and put it in his pocket.
The policeman appeared frustrated, and shameless combative. 'Oga, carry your motor comot for here'
My friend drove off without engaging them further.
Learn a lesson here, know how the police works and use it to your advantage as a worthy law abiding citizen.. Dey play ▶️ |

They are THIEVES........ I contacted one scoundrel through Facebook and he sweet talked me for almost an hour, sending videos of the fictional device powering an apartment. I now insisted that he made a life video for me to confirm. He said he was driving back home. He sent more than 5 videos in less than 5 minutes. I still insisted on a live video and the slowpoke started getting hyper and started cursing me for not trusting him......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Next morning another number with another voice called that he noticed I had contacted their "company" to buy a device, I responded by telling him how rude the other thief was, he apologized and said he would be sanctioned. He provided an account for me to pay half of the money and the rest on delivery, giving me a 10k discount due to the "unprofessional" attitude of his salesperson. I accepted and told him I needed him to go to the device and make a live video before I would send the money, the clown equally sent videos. When I insisted on a live video, bandit started cursing 🤬 me again.........🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Set For Speaking Engagements In UK by Babaibeji2020(m): 3:59pm On Apr 22 |
bolaayenimo: Former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, is scheduled to participate in a series of high-level speaking engagements in the United Kingdom, with visits to Cambridge and London later this month.
According to his official itinerary, the engagements will commence on April 22 in Cambridge, where he will interact with academic communities across multiple institutions. His first stop will be Abbey College Cambridge from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., where he will be hosted by the Principal, Ellen Hesse.
He will subsequently proceed to Cambridge Seminars College for another session scheduled between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The event will be co-hosted by Dr. Ali Kurambayev and Dr. C.A. Davidson, the institution’s principal.
Following the academic engagements, the former minister will attend a luncheon at Eko Kitchen Restaurant in Cambridge from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering an opportunity for informal interactions.
Later in the day, Mohammed will visit St. John’s College, University of Cambridge, where he is expected to participate in a broader engagement with scholars and members of the Cambridge University Nigeria Society.
The session, scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., will be hosted in collaboration with Cambridge University and its Nigerian student body.
The engagements will continue on April 24 in London, where Mohammed is slated to speak at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The event, organized by the LSE Programme for African Leadership, will take place at 4:00 p.m.
During the engagements, Lai Mohammed is also expected to speak on his new book, Headlines and Sound Bites: Media Moments That Defined An Administration. The book, according to him, is aimed at correcting misconceptions, providing context, and offering firsthand accounts of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
He described the publication as a personal effort to document his work as the longest-serving Minister of Information and Culture in Nigeria’s history, spanning the sectors of information, culture, tourism, and national orientation.
The visit is expected to provide a platform for discussions on governance, media, and leadership in Africa, drawing participation from students, academics, and policy stakeholders in the UK.
Observers note that the engagements underscore ongoing intellectual exchanges between Nigerian public figures and leading global academic institutions.

Love800: My last question pls.
So you saying you simply do upgrades.
If you could explain dis upgrade to my understanding, i will appreciate.
Anyway, if you can't, no problem.
I really appreciate everything. By upgrade, I mean swapping my components for higher versions. I started with a pwm charge controller before swapping to mppt. I had one gel battery...130ah, later added another 130ah but now I've included a lithium solar generator. I was using a sachet inverter but it got fried and I got a pure sine wave inverter......lots of upgrades. Availability of funds is the yardstick for upgrades.. |

Love800: Can you state the range(amount) you use to purchase this?
Answer this my question clearly too. "You don't use nepa at all?" I don't use nepa at all.... I can't actually state a specific amount because I do upgrades...I swapped my small charge controller for a bigger one, I bought extra lithium battery that's been charged by the inverter powered by the gel battery. The gel battery bank works by day time and stops by 4pm,the lithium bank works till dawn. Plus or minus,my unit could be in the range or 2.8 to 3 million, some panels not included in that fund |

⁸ Love800: Can you describe this solar pls. How is it? Can it carry the whole appliances in your house including pumping of water?
So you don't use nepa at all? No inverter too? Well you gave a hell lotta assignment to respond but I'll try...... My first solar setup was 2×130ah battery bank with 1.6kva pure sine wave inverter with an array of solar panels. My panel array was of various wattage because I bought them bit by bit from friends who wanted to upgrade and sorts. My installer who is a very passionate and understanding person, put up a system I could "manage" but was always low b4 dawn😪 Because I enjoyed the package and it reduced my fuel buying budget,I decided to go off grid..... It's expensive but there's a size for everyone that can be upgraded at your pace. First thing, get a dedicated installer, tell him the appliances that are "important".....with time and funds availability, you can upgrade to the extent you will disconnect from NEPA entirely, that's my plan....." Good luck and try to get lithium battery bank,I really didn't enjoy gel battery till I started using lithium....The DOD is superb |

otipoju: Abortion!!!
Nothing more nothing less.
When a woman becomes pregnant, the body starts preparing for the arrival of the child as such the breasts get fuller.
Aborting the process reverses the preparation process. The breasts that had expanded will loose the fluids that made it full.
Sagging don start gradually be that.
Repeat the process two or three times and the mountains become valleys. Have you in any way attended any theological skool......?
